Well that was quick! Rift, the latest MMO by Trion Worlds and SyFy channel has been out for less than a month and already we are getting a major content release from them. On March 30th, Alsbeth began her reign of terror on Telara, and it ain't pretty. Well isn't this a little bit of interesting. Looks like the team that brought us Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is no longer ok with keeping their game just hopping dimensions, now they want to go through time too with Spider-Man: Edge Of Time. Edge Of Time being the latest title just announced from Beenox, Marvel and Activision. At this time the story for the game is pretty much this: Spider-Man: Edge Of Time challenges the player to take on the roles of both classic Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 to correct a time-stream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early and untimely death of Peter Parker. So here we go with the third "episode" of game play trailers for Battlefield 3. This time it would seem a basic "disarm a bomb" task goes a little awry and turns into an all out shoot and destroy everything mission. Who would have thought that following a wire into an enemy "hideout" would turn into such madness and violence? I do have to say that out of all of these clips, this one impresses me the most with visuals. It's dangerous to go hunting alone and in the latest game play video from Bethesda and inXile entertainments Hunted: The Demon Forge I wouldn't want to be out there by myself anyways. One of the best things in this video is that we finally get to hear some of the awesome voice over work we have all come to love from Bethesda Studios. Not to mention at the beginning of this month it was announced that Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) would breathe life into the seductive temptress Seraphine. Dungeon Siege III is a little more than two months away and I can hardly contain my excitement. We recently got a video highlighting the latest ally that will be available in game and this girl is fierce. Katarina Vignette is a ranged death dealing machine and the third ally to be announced. Trained in the ways of nomads, she uses Guns, Magic and a black hound to pretty much eviscerate her enemies. The 10th legion did well when they recruited her. Armor progression is probably one of the most important factors in MMO's to date. It establishes your identity, your rank, your skill and possibly your luck, all just because your robe of +10 to "sexterity" is harder to get than anyone else. Here we go again. It's time to try and end this conflict between the I.S.A. and the Helghast once and for all. Picking up right after the events of Killzone 2, we are thrust right back into the mix of it in Killzone 3. All to meet the end of saving Earth from the new tech and tactics of the Helghast who are still hell-bent on doing just that. Outside of being a continuation, Killzone 3 is also one of the titles that Sony seems to be relying on to show off their tech and hardware capabilities. Good news for you Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X fans out there who enjoy purchasing every version of the titles possible. Just announced is a new HD version for both titles that will be coming to XBox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network sometime this fall. Duke Nukem Forever being delayed again is like a nerd with a pocket protector - you know the joke, everyone knows the joke and the best you can muster is a half-hearted smile in one corner of your mouth in recognition the joke even existed. So, the fact 2K and Gearbox went with a more tongue-in-cheek approach to the announcement shows a true effort in good faith to the game and the franchise as a whole. PS3 Mortal Kombat fans have been teased too long with the fact that Kratos will be a console exclusive character. Teased with the knowledge, but nothing as far as substantial in-game footage. That is until now as there is a new trailer out showing some of his moves and animations. Color me impressed with this new view of the character. From the looks of trailer, it is fully upgraded Kratos from God of War III that is know fighting against mortals for the pleasure of Shao Kahn and himself.
