Portal Is Still Alive...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 04:28 PM ]
More Maps For Portal This was a triumph... I'm making a note here... HUGE SUCCESS! Ok enough of that. But you really can't deny the fact that the game was a huge thing. It spawned all kinds of other media based off of just this little mod to Half Life. And it just keeps coming out. This time in more maps based from the 2D Flash version of the game. This is a 40 map pack and features a new "test subject" for these said levels. Yes you read it. Read More...

New TF2 achievements - Fair or Foe?
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Monday, 5th of May 2008 - 11:12 PM ]
With the upgrades to Medic and the introduction to the new achievement system in TF2 - The Medic has been the first class to receive the honor of earning achievements and upgrades. However, have the developers given the medic too much power? If you've been playing some TF2 lately, odds are you've noticed an increase in the amount of medics playing, players uber-charged and people just not dying. Although the new upgrades have helped to turn the game play up a notch - I've began to notice that like with many games, players have found a loop hole in the system and it seems practically impossibly to kill a freaking medic!  Double Uber - when two medic uber-charge themselves - is by far one of the most frustrating things I've come to witness. X-Play Exclusive: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for Wii So a while back I posted a Narticle about this game. Please check it out and then I will continue. 3... 2... 1... Ok, welcome back. So continuing forward, G4 just got a bit of game play action of this game on the Wii. The system this game was made for. At least in my opinion. They show how the Wii Mote will be used and how it will effect everything. Read More...

Metroid: Zero Mission
by [ Sunday, 4th of May 2008 - 12:52 AM ]
My review and opinions on Metroid: Zero Mission for the GBA. Because I still play teh old games.       So there I sat, in my Super Mario pajama pants and my Lrn2play T-shirt, having beaten the final boss in Metroid: Zero Mission and hurdled the last two space pirates to jump into a small ship and narrowly escape the self destructing Mothership... thereby beating the game. I allowed the credits to roll, only to discover I had found only 56% of the items in the game, and it took 4 and a half hours for me to beat (it's a hard game... Read More...

Users Will Soon Create PWNage For Heroes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of April 2008 - 03:56 PM ]
A Message From Positron – 4 Year Anniversary! So looking at the two titles that come with this Narticle, it may be a little hard to get what is going on in this one. That was the point. MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Yes, I can be a villain sometimes. But here we go. On the Official City of Heroes Forum Boards, lead designer Matt Miller made a nice long post about the 4 year anniversary of the game. He goes on about how the game has grown since it launched back in 2004 and continues to thank the users for keeping it in the lime light for so long. Nice of him since it is us, the gamers, that keep people like him knee deep in money and a job. Read More...

Gov'ment Uses Games To PWN
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of April 2008 - 11:13 PM ]
U.S. Spies Use Custom Videogames to Learn How to Think So this is something that is a few days old, but it was kind of buried. So I figured I'd bring it up here. The short and dirty of it is that the U.S. Government is paying for a few games to be built to help train spies and interrogators on their craft. So not just tactics, but quick thinking and analysis. Something that games have been proven to provoke a great response with. Read More...

11 Signs Of Behavior Pwnage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of April 2008 - 04:25 PM ]
11 signs you're no longer a hard-core gamer So I was running around with my head cut off, like a chicken, when I lost my favorite site over the weekend. During such, ran across this and was considering whether or not to post something about it. The comedian in me finally got the better of me and I went ahead with it. As is obvious since you are, hopefully, reading through this. There will be an exam on it to check to see who is reading these things. Read More...

ZOMBIES!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of April 2008 - 04:15 PM ]
Peach, Samus Return To Feast Upon The Living Alright, so you se this cool pic of Zombie Samus right? Unless you have images turned off, of course you do. You can actually se the other one, Peach, if you follow the link below. Both really well done pieces of art in my opinion. I know it's not 100% gaming news, but it was worth note. I can't wait to see if there is more. Marvel Zombies is one of the coolest comics I've ready in a while. Read More...

PWNed My Opinion A Bit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of April 2008 - 04:00 PM ]
More Good Stuff For MGO So it looks like my hopes for this are actually right for once. Here's another video that shows that the debacle with Konami and getting this whole thing set up should be worth it all. The video here is actual game play from a bunch of people in Japan. I had no audio when watching it, but from descriptions of it, I can see it being just a bunch of Japanese yelling and gun shots. So go ahead and watch the video and I'll continue below. Go ahead. PWN Wii Fit With This...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of April 2008 - 06:19 PM ]
From Wii Fit To Wii Strip? I saw this and almost died. First from laughing. Then from the possibilities it could have when I host gaming parties. Oh the possibilities. I know a lot of females that would be down for this without the game. This would just give me yet another reason to get them over. But enough of my musings about the fun that would ensue. If you are still here and didn't skip my ramblings just to check the link, I'll give ya the short and dirty version. Read More...

Sony Again PWNs Its Users
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of April 2008 - 05:00 PM ]
Home Delayed Again As the image sarcastically shows, Big Shocker right? First they say real soon in a previous Press Release. Now the Open Test is pushed back to about a year after their initial release date. I was not as shocked as all the other sites out there that saw this already. I figured it would be. So anyone not in the Closed Beta can sit tight until Fall of this year before we hear they are pushing it back again. I guess some good news is, if you are in the Closed Beta, you get some more time to pal around with it. Read More...
