Turns out Harmonix is giving us Nine new songs before the week is out. There are various singles from various bands (Unfortunatly Two are from the Nickelodeon band The Naked Brothers). These songs apparentley cast a wide net over different ages, genres, language, demographic and pricing structure. Along with the obligatory "paid for" tracks from aritsts like Children of Bodom, Finley,Platero y Tu, Squeeze, Tokio Hotel and the All-American Rejects there is a free track from Miranda Cosgrove called "Headphones On". Playstation 3 Strategy Action RPG, Valkyria Chronicles, is currently being adapted for an anime series due out in April of 2009. It is being produced by A-1 Pictures, who recently worked on Persona - Trinity Soul and Kannagi.  We do not know if it will follow the same animation style as the game, mixing 2D/3D, but it is highly unlikely it will completely imitate it. The last game from Sega development team, Overworks, to be adapted into an anime was Sakura Wars, which was met with much acclaim from fans. Those who got their hands on the December issue of Game Informer might have read about the upcoming Halo 3 expansion Halo 3: Recon. The game is in fact 3-5 hours long, which is very short. The game should also be a very low price. Bungie's Joe Staten says "We do not view this at a $60 title". Hopefully $20-$30. Gamestop is getting ready to launch a nationwide for Call of Duty: World at War. The tournament starts this Friday, featuring one-on-one, single elimination style rounds. LittleBigPlanet To Add Sticker Import From Hard Drive Might not sound all that cool, at least to some, but this is something that was originally stated was most likely never going to be an option within the game. Oh c'mon why wouldn't they pull that. The Inquirer reports that on November 19th of this year, Sony's Playstation Home will be unleashed to the public, coincidentally on the same exact day that Microsoft drops it's New XBOX Experience for its XBOX 360 console. While Home is certainly more substansial (it's a whole virtual world where you can walk around, play games, watch movies, and more, semi-akin to second life), where as NXE is more of a looks-rather-than-content update, both are being heavily looked forward to. Preorders for Sony's highly anticipated exclusive Resistance 2 have finally gone up. Through Gamestop, PS3 owners will be able to preorder the game for the listed price of $59.99. People who do preorder the game will recieve early access to the Resistance 2 public beta which according to the order sheet is set to begin in early October. A Japanese man with an intent to use his friend's three and a half year old MMORPG character, is now being prosecuted for cyber-crimes in Japan for deleting said character. Both men are friends in real life and on the server, though I'd say now that they were friends at this point.  The guy who actually created the character was about to finally max out his character after the long three years plus journey, so when he found out all his hard work was deleted, he contacted the local police departments cyber crimes unit. When the friend was caught, the motive turned out to be simple jealousy than anything else, as he told police he just "Wanted his character." The perp is being charged with unauthorized access, but most likely should've been charged with criminal damage or theft. Read More...

So that thing with Take-Two didn't work out huh, well there's always more fish in the sea, and it looks like EA may have another one on it's hook. Word on the street (from gameguru) states that EA is looking to gobble up Epic Games in an effort to win back the hearts and minds of the hardcore gamer. Now gameguru may not have the best grammar or the most trustworthy sources however the fact that EA recently struck a deal with People Can Fly (an in-house studio belong to none other than Epic Games) only strengthens their claims.
