It's been a while since I was truly excited about a game announcement, but this one is pretty exciting! Dungeon Siege 3 has been announced for NOT ONLY PC, but XBox 360 and PS3 as well. According to the press release, Dungeon Siege 3 will have Square Enix (Final Fantasy) on board as Editor, and Obsidian Entertainment (Neverwinter Nights 2, Knights Of The Old Republic) as the Developer, with Gas Powered Games (Dungeon Siege 1/2, Supreme Commander 1/2) supervising the whole process. Popular concert series Video Games Live has announced a crazy line-up of the of some of the most familiar and epic video game soundtracks for a new 90-minute special they are filming for PBS. Now, Video Games Live has been around for a while and is the brainchild of game music composer Tommy Tallirico and Jack Wall. For the unitiated, Video Games Live consists of video game music performed by a live orchestra with game footage and different lighting effects to coincide with the footage. This version of the concert will include music from the Super Mario, Zelda, Sonic, Halo, Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, God of War, Civilization, Chrono Cross, StarCraft and Guitar Hero franchises, and will also be "including a musical journey through Classic Gaming". As Naughty Bear has been stealing more and more for the book How To Be More Like Hades™, I would have expected him to use one of the better rules this time around. That rule being #12, "Use Their Own Knife Against Them." But instead he went with the less used rule #1012, "Curb Smash When You Can."
