This Week In Video Games 11/10/14 — 11/14/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 15th of November 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Thus concludes week one in the insanity of video game releases. We've had a plethora of titles just drop and many more in the coming weeks leading up to December. Hells, we even had two reviews this week for #killallzombies and Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare here and have yet to even scratch the surface of all the titles that have been causing a stir in the video game industry. Yes, that is a slight jab at Assassin's Creed there but we'll leave the heavy stuff for all of those other outlets who can trash talk and not worried about getting black balled in the industry. Moving on to what we did have here though in the way of video game news. Read More...

These Cops In Battlefield Hardline Are Ruthless Yet Awesome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of November 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Some new Battlefield Hardline footage has been smuggled onto the web and it shows off quite a bit of the single player gameplay as well as the tone of the game We've seen a bit of the single player for Battlefield Hardline and played the multiplayer beta for the game already. Until now I don't think I've seen how rough Visceral Games and EA are going to have their cops and DEA member look in Battlefield Hardline. This is not a bad thing in my opinion we just haven't seen anything like this until this recent b-roll footage (see below) surfaced up. Maybe you have but to date I have not seen how rough and amazing this is going to be when we finally get Battlefield Hardline on our PS3s, PS4s, Xbox Ones, Xbox 360s, or PCs. Read More...

Review: Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare [Multiplayer]
by Greg Tatterfield [ Thursday, 13th of November 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
We sit down and play Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Is this veteran still up to task find out in our two part review? This part will cover the multiplayer Hated Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a solid experience and perhaps one of the best Call Of Dutys in years. With that being said there is one issue that tarnishes the whole experience and that is the lag. This is the kind of lag that you don't notice till you try and kill another player. You could have the best aim and shoot another player first and then still get killed by said player. Read More...

Review: Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare [Campaign]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of November 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's campaign mode. Does it advance the overall franchise or does it leave us all wanting more? The time has come around again and we have had the chance to play and review Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare. We have Sledgehammer Games back at the helm for the latest edition to join the franchise and they are looking to stake their claim back into our hearts and systems. They have been trying to push the limits of the current and next gen consoles and all of the hype has shown that to be the case but did they actually do it? Is Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare just a fancy cash grab or is it the next greatest edition to the overall franchise? Read More...

Now Here's Everything You Need To Know For Far Cry 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of November 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Here is a new trailer for Far Cry 4 from Ubisoft and Red Storm to show us everything that we need to know for the game's launch It looks like these "everything you need to know" videos from Ubisoft are all the rage still so here we have one for Far Cry 4. We all need a reminder as to why we need to be picking up Far Cry 4 and giving it a spin because all of the previous videos and information handed out like candy just wasn't enough. I'm so glad that we are getting treated like we have the truncated version of a gold fish's memory. Like under a week kind of truncated here. Read More...

More Support For Evolve In The Way Of Cabot
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of November 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
IGN Has Shown Off The New Support For Evolve Named Cabot And He Looks More Supportive Than The Others Last week we had our most recent hunter for Evolve shown off in the wake of the PS4 and Xbox One beta. This week we get another new hunter in the support class named Cabot. He's a rail gun shooting, death ray wielding, orbital cloud calling new addition to the mix who also looks to be way more in the support class than any of the others that have already been announced by 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios to date. Here's a quick breakdown of what Cabot brings to Evolve and how I came to my thought on him. We all know that the support for Evolve is there to buff and also put the hurt on the monster as you hunt it down. Read More...

The Game Awards Have Been Announced Because We Need Another One…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of November 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Geoff Keighley has announced that it is time for The Game Awards show, another awards show just for video games I was thinking the other day "Why don't we have another awards show for video games?" Looks like someone was reading my mind as it looks like we have The Game Awards just announced by Geoff Keighley coming our way to celebrate the video game industry. If the VGX and other award shows of the past weren't proof enough that most gamers out there don't care for an awards show then I don't know what else will. Although to be honest after hearing a bit more on The Game Awards show some doubts could be put aside as it doesn't sound like one network's way to grab some quick cash using our beloved subculture. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 8th of November 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There we go with another huge week for video games. We had Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare get released and another huge kick off to Blizzcon in the form of Overwatch getting an announcement. This was also just the start of the huge AAA title rush at that and we have so much more to look forward in the world of video games. Most of which should be hitting all of our systems in the next week or so. At least that is the major push for things currently as that is what most of the news, videos, and images are all about. You Want Zombies In Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare? Of Course You Do
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of November 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
If you are still lost on how to unlock the Zombies in Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare here's a nice little guide It has been confirmed that we are getting a zombie mode in Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare via future DLC from Activision and Sledgehammer Games but do you really want to wait until then? Of course you don't. Especially since it wouldn't be part of the Season Pass DLC but be a standalone thing for Advanced Warfare. Hopefully you knew all that before you read this so if you wanted the zombie killing action you didn't get primed in other ways. Read More...

Review: Sunset Overdrive
by Greg Tatterfield [ Thursday, 6th of November 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We sit down and play Insomniac's new action third person shooter Sunset Overdrive. Is a trip to Sunset City worth it? Find out in my review. Story A new energy drink hits Sunset City and turns most of its residents into mutants, sending the city into the apocalypse. The company Fizzco who put out the energy drink then closes the city off to the rest of the world in hopes of covering up the incident. As a survivor you team up with others to escape the city and expose Fizzco. Hated There was not much to hate about Sunset Overdrive if you are into fast pace action and crazy moments. Read More...

We Have A New Trapper For Evolve Named Abe
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
IGN has shown off the new trapper for Evolve named Abe and he has a couple of game breaking features I loathe needing to link out to other sites that are all about being paid support video games but that is the only way we are going to get any further Evolve updates now. Looks like IGN has locked that up but that won't stop us from bringing our look and opinion as now we have Abe the new Trapper for Evolve. Now we are up to three different Trappers and two of everything else as the Big Alpha wound down on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Glad that we all get to miss out on the new stuff for the click bait. Story Time: Far Cry 4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We have our first good glimpse at the story for Far Cry 4 and a few explanations why we are murdering up the mountain If you haven't been following along with much of Far Cry 4 outside of the fun looking game mechanics and killing that will take place in the game on November 18th then you might be a bit behind on why all said killing is going on. Yes it is well known that there is some guy named Pagan Min shitting all over Kyrat and all that jazz but why? Also why should we care is another great question to ask when digging into Far Cry 4. This Week In Video Games 10/27/14 — 10/31/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of October 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Happy Halloween and happy end of the week in video games news. It's time to get a butt load of candy, fatter, diabetes, and have some time to kick back and play some of our favorite video games of the horror theme. All of this is to lead into the next month where we get to do it all again. Of course this is mostly directed at all of those American readers here as most other countries don't have the same holidays and look at us as the degenerate freaks that we are. Even if it isn't proclaimed all over the internet in much of a public face. Read More...

Looks Like No Evolve For Those PS4 Owners For Halloween
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of October 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
An update on the big Evolve alpha for PS4 owners dictates that the new system update has ruined things for those hoping to play Looks like we got a trick for Turtle Rock Studios and 2K games for those who were looking forward to playing the hell out of Evolve over the Halloween weekend. According to the Evolve Big Alpha blog it would seem that the latest 2.0 update for the PS4 firmware is causing issues and that the PS4 alpha is being postponed. Postponed to when they have not stated yet as 2K and PlayStation are working on solving the issue. Read More...

Far Cry 4, Rakshasa, Golden Path, & The Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We have a look at the multiplayer of Far Cry 4 and the factions vying for control of Kyrat Now that we are getting all of the single player updates for Far Cry 4 we should look for an update for the multiplayer aspect of the game. At least one of them which is just what we have explained a bit in the most recent trailer for Far Cry 4. It even has a bit more on the lore of Kyrat and Pagan Min for all of those story fiends out there. You know, because there are so many of us out there. Read More...
