I do love the new direction that RockSteady has taken The Riddler, my second favorite villain, but I can't seem to look past the close similarities in the characters. They are both geniuses. They both like putting people in death traps. They both have a specific tone and method to their speaking. I guess the only real difference is that the new Riddler does it to prove to the world that he really is the smartest person alive. So it looks like the rumor about NOT being able to play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City is now busted. Submitted for your consumption, I give you a look at a bit of the game play as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City. Straight from the horse's mouth, A.K.A. Rocksteady, to our eyes. Yes, I know that doesn't make visual sense, but just go with it. It doesn't show any form of Co-Op which leads me to believe that she is either going to have a small portion of the game set up like The Joker did in Arkham Asylum. Recently I had a conversation with a few people on movie tie-in games and if they could ever be any good. As was to be expected, the conclusion was generally not likely. There have been so many crappy movie tie-in games put out there, most of which to suck more money out of the consumer. But every now and then there are a few that are not just utter crap. Well isn't this a little bit of interesting. Looks like the team that brought us Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is no longer ok with keeping their game just hopping dimensions, now they want to go through time too with Spider-Man: Edge Of Time. Edge Of Time being the latest title just announced from Beenox, Marvel and Activision. At this time the story for the game is pretty much this: Spider-Man: Edge Of Time challenges the player to take on the roles of both classic Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 to correct a time-stream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early and untimely death of Peter Parker. Bethesda Softworks announced this week Prey 2, and the teaser will make you think twice about putting your cell phone on airplane mode. Prey, which was released back in July of 2006, was originally developed by Human Head Studios. Prey followed the sci-fi adventures of Cherokee Domasi "Tommy" Tawodi. The general story was that he, along with Girlfriend and Grandfather, were beamed up to an alien ship known only as The Sphere. In Batman: Arkham Asylum the Riddler had kind of a small role, even though it was one of the larger side missions in the game. Well we can put the rumors the Batman: Arkham City co-op video that found its way to the internet started. In a recent interview Sefton Hill from of Rocksteady Studios gave there will be no co-op play in Arkham City. It will be a single player game only. This kind of makes me extremely happy. Especially with the reasons being that they didn't want to take anyone from the team off the work on single player to deliver a rushed co-op mode. So just like the Transformers Game, Green Lantern is getting the same treatment with a video game tie-in. A game nicely titled Green Lantern: Green Lantern: Rise Of The Manhunters and looks to be as tied to the film in every way but overall story. The more I see of Deus Ex: Human Revolution the more I really can't wait to get my hands on it. I mean it looks very impressive from everything we've seen including the new visuals below. But what is really snagging my attention is the overall theme of the game, "Should We Play God?"
