The first bit of gameplay for NightCry has been added to the Kickstarter campaign by Nude Maker in the hopes to help fund the game more Last week we had a look at the live action trailer for NightCry, the Clock Tower spiritual successor, and it was okay. It was meant to help set the tone that Nude Maker is going for with NightCry. In my opinion it didn't do a great job as it felt like a really cheesy made for TV short film and nothing that could hold a candle to my memories of Clock Tower. White Night, a new survival horror title from OSome Studio, has been announced and is coming to the PS4 in March and other platforms in April Some of you may have heard of White Night as it was technically announced back in 2013 during the Game Connection Europe show. Don't feel bad if you haven't heard of the game though as it was only really shown to the press and potential publishers for the title. Yea, White Night kind of had a small announcement back then even though it did win a few small awards but we can treat this new trailer below as the official announcement for the game. EA and Visceral Games have released new details on the next Battlefield Hardline beta scheduled for February 3rd Here we go with the next Battlefield Hardline beta and it is an open one for all of us on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. No discrimination for platform or for those who could only make it to a specific convention or random drawing online. We all get to play Battlefield Hardline in beta mode starting on February 3rd and running into February 8th. Unless you are in Japan that is as the start date is the 4th instead for the PS4 and PS3. Hatred is now available for pre-order as well as has some new gameplay for you all to hate on again Hate it or not, Hatred is getting released as an AO title for PC and there seems to be no stopping it. I see this as a good thing but the whole "Hatred debate" bullshit has been done to death and I wish the main character could show up and perform a finishing move on it. The first developer diary for Battlefield Hardline has been released at it shows all of the care that Visceral Games took to make it the best yet I have been impressed with what I have seen for Battlefield Hardline up until now. It really looks like a next gen title as well as a welcomed, at least by me, deviation from the standard warfare title that Battlefield has almost always been. Of course we have Visceral Games to thank for that as they are the ones finally helming a full version of a Battlefield title with Battlefield Hardline and not some DLC add-on. Night Cry, the official name for Project Scissors and spiritual successor for Clock Tower, has a short film and is looking for funding now So we have a new short film for Night Cry, the official name for Project Scissors and spiritual successor for Clock Tower, and while it may not give us much of anything for the game it will most likely be one of the more bizarre things you see today. This game is coming from Hifumi Kono, creator of the Clock Tower game series, and Takashi Shimizu, director of The Grudge so we really shouldn't be expecting anything less right? What looks to be the first 20 minutes of Life Is Strange has been released online so we can all get basic judgments out of the way Life Is Strange is only a few days out from launch so it isn't too strange that there is already gameplay footage for the game floating out there. Seeing as Square Enix and Dontnod haven't busted their asses to have it taken down from YouTube yet I think they are fairly okay with the fact that the first 22 minutes of the game can be viewed now. Just in case 22 minutes of Life Is Strange isn't enough and all. More than that would just be downright ludicrous and would require the whole servers to be taken down so as to not ruin any part of the game, or at least the first episode, before January 30th. The second developer diary for Life Is Strange is out and shows off Max's rewind ability we will use in the game Life Is Strange is not too far off from having its first episode hit our homes. I feel like I have said that a lot this week. One of the things that I know I've been curious on for the game has been the rewind mechanic that we will all get to employ in the game. This is kind of one of the core things and builds off one of the best mechanics in Dontnod's previous title Remember Me. These would be a collection of HD remastered version of the Sniper Elite post-apocalyptic spin-offs titled Zombie Army. A test market survey for Far Cry from Ubisoft was sent out and it alludes to other options that we may see for the franchise moving forward Marketing surveys can be fun and in the case of the most recent one for Far Cry from Ubisoft it looks like the fun doesn't stop. In fact it flows and has now added all kinds of speculation to the future of the franchise that they are still doing extremely well with. At least last I checked Far Cry 4 was still one of their top selling titles from last year but the video game industry can be a fickle bitch.
