It's Illuminati Week For The Secret World

Is Silent Hill Downpour Going To Have Child Abuse Now?

Most likely not, unless the new trailer for Silent Hill: Downpour from Tokyo Game Show 2011 is sending hidden messages other mixed in with the new visuals and little bit of story. They did just use Korn here and while the music adds a bit of creep to the whole thing, it is an interesting choice given the music the band started out with. While their themes would be a bit fitting for the town of Silent Hill, I think we are still a way off from Konami adding that into the mix. I could be wrong. Read More...

Comparing Silent Hill: Downpour To Alan Wake...

So I was trolling around the net, as I am want to do, and I stumbled across some interesting discussions surrounding Silent Hill: Downpour. Primarily people talking about how the latest screen shots, seen below, are very reminiscent to some of the visuals in Alan Wake. So close to the point where I have seen a few people state that Konami is just ripping off from the game. There is also some people trying to defend the fact that because it looks close it doesn't mean it is a rip off. Review: Killzone 3

Here we go again. It's time to try and end this conflict between the I.S.A. and the Helghast once and for all. Picking up right after the events of Killzone 2, we are thrust right back into the mix of it in Killzone 3. All to meet the end of saving Earth from the new tech and tactics of the Helghast who are still hell-bent on doing just that. Outside of being a continuation, Killzone 3 is also one of the titles that Sony seems to be relying on to show off their tech and hardware capabilities. So outside of pleasing fans of the franchise, Guerrilla Games and Sony have a lot on their plate as far as expectations. Read More...

Story Time With The Helghast Of Killzone 3

So here is further proof that an FPS can have a good story mixed in without the need for multi-player being the selling point. I mean let's face it, Killzone is not the franchise that all you multi-player freaks hop right out to go play. Don't you even try to deny it or swear that you do. You know just as well as I that is not true. That being the case obviously there has to be another great pull to the franchise to help sell millions of copies. Silent Hill Is The New Detention Center

So if you skip on below, after reading that is, you will see the new trailer for the next Silent Hill game nicely titled Silent Hill 8; at least the working title for now. This is what was shown to those in the horribly failed Konami Press event. At least as far as the presenters and a few titles go, it was failed. A new title called Crisis in the Gulf is available on XBox Live, and lets you take command of the situation and figure out a way to plug the oil spill. Of course this game is based around a "DP" oil leak and not actually THE BP oil leak. That's just a silly coincidence, right? Dance On The Mass Grave Of Helghast

No matter how you would do that, I won't let it detract from the new "teaser" trailer for Killzone 3. Something you can see below or over at the official Killzone 3 website. If you want to go through all the normal BS to see this trailer and such. At first this may not look like much of a tease since it is all a pre-rendered fight scene. But what it would seem is the tease is the last little bit of the teaser; Where it looks like you might be infiltrating the Helghast from the inside. Read More...

Killzone 3 Trying To One Up Uncharted 2

While it might not seem like it, since they are all Sony developers, it looks as if Guerrilla Games is trying to do just that visually. That and just recently the Senior Producer of Guerrilla Games said as much. But knowing that from the start doesn't help me grab your eyes and thrust them to these new screen shots for Killzone 3. Review: Alan Wake

If you follow me at all on here it should be no surprise that I have not seen much of a difference between Alan Wake and Silent Hill. At least that's my opinion from the viewpoint of the screen shots, trailers and the most recent live action Bright Falls series. I mean, they look so very similar. If you don't think so, then you should have your brain examined. Well, I was just recently able to give Alan Wake a good play through. A really good play through so I could contrast and compare between this new IP and the "older" Silent Hill IP. Read More...
