So here is further proof that an FPS can have a good story mixed in without the need for multi-player being the selling point. So if you skip on below, after reading that is, you will see the new trailer for the next Silent Hill game nicely titled Silent Hill 8; at least the working title for now. This is what was shown to those in the horribly failed Konami Press event. At least as far as the presenters and a few titles go, it was failed. A new title called Crisis in the Gulf is available on XBox Live, and lets you take command of the situation and figure out a way to plug the oil spill. Of course this game is based around a "DP" oil leak and not actually THE BP oil leak. That's just a silly coincidence, right? If you follow me at all on here it should be no surprise that I have not seen much of a difference between Alan Wake and Silent Hill. At least that's my opinion from the viewpoint of the screen shots, trailers and the most recent live action Bright Falls series. I mean, they look so very similar. 3G Studios just announced that they would be crafting a first person "social shooter" for Facebook, arguably the most popular social networking site on the net. It seemed like this was in the making, the idea of a Facebook as a platform for more robust content (i.e. something a little more in-depth than say Farmville or Mafia Wars). Looks like Naughty Dog is serious about bringing some eye-opening DLC to their blockbuster title, Uncharted 2. On the 28th of this month there is going to be an overflow of new skins to adorn your multiplayer experience.
