No Man's Sky The other three aspect trailers for No Man's Sky crept out on us and now we get to see how No Man's Sky will play in all aspects It looks like I was wrong when it came to the recent intro videos for No Man's Sky that we were getting here. Evolve A new-ish character is coming to Evolve Stage 2 as one of the original hunters from Evolve is getting a solid makeover for you to earn up to That didn't take too long for the new Evolve to get yet another character update added into the mix. It looks like Turtle Rock Studios is truly behind this IP and don't want it to fall behind like so many other 2K Games titles out there that have. The Walking Dead A few new tidbits for The Walking Dead season three from Telltale have come out of SDCC as well as some new screenshots for The Walking Dead's third season It was stated that we would get some more on the third season of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead during San Diego Comic Con and fans were not let down. At least not let down outside of the fact that we were still left with a whole lot to wonder on as we head toward the new season's release and just what has gone on in the game's world since then. Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — A Portal To Mystery. This is the sixth episode of Telltale's take on Mojang's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did The story continues for Minecraft: Story Mode as we have the first episode in the expanded adventure and the sixth episode in the epic tale of Jesse and his crew as they do what is apparently done in Mojang's world. If you are somehow still behind the times though this also expands on the story that Telltale Games has been building up for us over pretty much a year now. Batman A solid release date for Batman: The Telltale Series has been revealed and it looks like the first week of August is when Batman will be taking flight again Last week we were teased with when Batman: The Telltale Series would be coming to us in digital format but we were told that we would get to see a new trailer just in time for SDCC. As they are people of their words over at Telltale Games we now have a released date for the digital version of the game, August 2nd, and a trailer for the first episode of the game. Minecraft The release date for Minecraft: Story Mode's seventh episode has been set and it looks like the world of Minecraft is getting the Tron and Borg treatment The seventh episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, or second in the adventure pass, has a release date set and it looks like it will be July 26th here. On this date we will get to see how much further down the rabbit hole Telltale Games is going to take us into their take on the famed Mojang IP that has a few hits and misses in my eyes. Star Wars During London's Star Wars celebration event we received a few new bits of concept are for the Star Wars Visceral is working for us We all know that EA is holding onto that Star Wars IP with an iron grip and forcing pretty much all of their development studios to work on the IP in some way or another. One of which would be Visceral Games that we all know for the Dead Space titles and the most recent Battlefield Hardline title; also they are the studio who picked up Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame. Of course it makes sense that they would have them working on another Star Wars addition into the video game world and it looks like we have a bit of an update and some pieces of concept art to work with as we wait and see. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games This week seemed to drag on but luckily we had all kinds of video games and all their news to keep us entertained and moving forward. That isn't to say that we didn't have some cool things come out like the new stuff for No Man's Sky and Call Of Duty. Then we had the flip flop on the Batman franchise although both of the video games in question there were from different developers. Batman The release window for Batman: The Telltale Series digital has been revealed as well as when Batman will be getting a physical version from Warner Bros. As I assumed we would be seeing more of Batman: The Telltale Series as we got closer to SDCC and here we go. It isn't a trailer as Telltale Games has stated that they will be showing us that next week during the big event and when they do their play through of the first episode live. But for now it looks like we only have news that Batman is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices digitally sometime in August. Gears Of War 4 Fans looking forward to Gears Of War 4 will be glad to know that the new Xbox One S system will have a Gears Of War 4 themed version of the system Look at that fans of the franchise looking forward to Gears Of War 4. If for some reason you don't have an Xbox One yet or are really looking to upgrade just for The Coalition's new title, then you'll be glad to see that there is a new version of the upgraded console coming just for the game. No Man's Sky A new video series for No Man's Sky has kicked off and now we are getting a look at the four main aspects of No Man's Sky's gameplay Last we heard that No Man's Sky has gone gold and that August 9th is completely locked in and now it looks like we are getting video break downs of the core aspects of the game. According to the Hello Games these are Explore, Trade, Fight, and Survive. That does seem to be a lot more than I remember them stating before but this is a good thing as it gives me personally more to look at for No Man's Sky as well as to get behind all of the hype the game has produced for so long. Paragon The new character for Paragon has been added to the list now let's have a look at Greystone from Paragon in a little more detail Earlier on we had word on the new character coming to Paragon with the most recent update to the game. That would be an update that Epic Games pushed out to the PS4 and PC versions of the game yesterday for those wonder. His name is Greystone and he brings a bit of a new way to go about matches for Paragon on both sides of the coin. Brawlout The reveal for Brawlout has been made public and we get a quick look at Brawlout's gameplay as it brings the platform brawling genre to us again If you felt like you needed a new platforming brawler title, then let me show you Brawlout here. This is just what I was talking about coming out of the minds at Angry Mob Games and set to hit early 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Finally, we get a brawling game that isn't a console exclusive or something and I'm glad to see Brawlout giving the genre another try. Return To Arkham It looks like the delay of Batman: Return To Arkham may not be as long as most of us feared as sources claim Return To Arkham will be launching in November While this is still in the realm of speculation it looks like sources close to Batman: Return To Arkham state that we should be seeing the bundle released sometime in November of this year. At least that is what is being reported out there on Rocksteady Games' new collection after it was delayed instead of being released tomorrow. The Bunker A new horror game, The Bunker, is coming out this September and The Bunker features Live Action play instead of traditional character models It has been very far between when a video game uses live actors instead of polygons for gameplay but here we go with The Bunker. This is a new horror title coming out of Splendy Games for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile devices. It had a very small announcement back in April of this year but it looks like Wales Interactive wants to bring The Bunker to us all this September. No specific date has been announced as of yet but this is a step up from there being nothing when wind first started to pick up for it. Read More...
