Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games One more week in video games is in the bad now and it has been another fun one. We were able to see Evolve go free-to-play, how South Park is taking comedy serious here, and also a whole bunch of new Battlefield 1 gameplay to tide us over for a bit. We also had the chance to review three more video games here this week with some highs and some lows. No Man's Sky It has just been confirmed that No Man's Sky has finally hit gold status and No Man's Sky will be hitting it new release date It seems like only a month ago that we were hearing about death threats over No Man's Sky being delayed until August 9th. Thankfully the pillow forts that were built over at Hello Games to shield them all worked as it looks like they have no wrapped up development and the game is ready to start going into the process to come out to us. Now the only delays we may see for No Man's Sky will be if the marketing team feels like they need more time to sell more copies. Paragon The next hero to join Paragon is Greystone and we get to see him fight and die in Paragon only to come back and save the day The next and newest hero to come to Paragon has just been shown off and slated to come with the July 12th update for the game. I've said it before but it looks like Epic Games is really keeping to their schedule and now we have so many more characters on the list since the initial five we were shown back during the announcement of the game. I am curious when it will stop but for now we get to see Paragon's Greystone who is joining the fight on the battle field. Not only that but bringing something we've yet to see in the game. Evolve It has been announced that Evolve is going free to play and you can now download Evolve on the PC to give all the new additions a try If you loved it or hated Evolve it makes no difference as the game is going free-to-play and getting a whole lot of upgrades and changes to the gameplay. As a matter of fact it looks like if you want to give the game a go on PC now that it is free it looks like 2K Games is giving it out to us all for free as of right now. That's right, you can now play Turtle Rock Studios' passion projected, Evolve for free right now on the PC and then later on the PS4 and Xbox One. Red Dead Redemption The latest game to hit the Xbox One backwards compatibility program is Red Dead Redemption and it doesn't matter which version of Red Dead Redemption you own to have access Leading up to E3 and well before that we had a lot of "leaks" and news about something related to Red Dead Redemption coming soon. A lot of us thought that this was all to lead up to Rockstar Games announcing a sequel to the original title but as that time has come and gone it looks like we'll have to wait longer. What we won't have to wait for is the original Red Dead Redemption to hit the Xbox One as Take-Two Interactive is allowing it to head to the system via the backwards compatibility program that has been set up. Carmageddon A new compilation video for Carmageddon: Max Damage has been released and it shows off some of the things you'll rundown in Carmageddon at launch With Carmageddon: Max Damage coming out here in short order, July 8th, it might just be time to sit back and see just what you'll be running down and killing for fun in the game. Apparently Stainless Games had the same idea as they have just given us the rundown of some of the things we'll encounter when the game launches on the PS4 and Xbox One. BioShock After many leaks, BioShock: The Collection has finally been announced and now we are getting all the BioShock titles in one location for the current gen Here we go with yet another one of the worst kept secrets in the video game industry as BioShock: The Collection has now been given the full announcement, details, and release date from 2K Games. It only took five different "leaks" and ratings to show up but now we have a nice new collection put together from Blind Squirrel that puts everything in one place for new and old fans alike. All of the BioShock titles bundled up, remastered, and heading out to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13th for $59. Read More...

Return To Arkham It has just been reported that Batman: Return To Arkham has been delayed with now release date in sight for when we'll Return To Arkham in this collection Back in May we were given a nice little surprise that we were getting a Batman: Return To Arkham bundle. This was a HD remaster of the other two Rocksteady Games titles that never made it to the PS4 and Xbox One. Not only that but the announcement came that Warner Bros. was going to give us this Return To Arkham bundle on July 26th. Read More...

Mafia 3 The pre-order bonuses for Mafia 3 have finally been fully fleshed out this is just what we will be getting for Mafia 3 if we pre-order or by the CE Maybe you remember or maybe you don't but back when Mafia 3's collector's editions was announced we also caught word on the fact that there would be a pre-order bonus. At the time though 2K Games had yet to define out what would be coming in the "Family Kick-Back" DLC and Hangar 13 was just as quiet about that too. Now we know what we will be getting for Mafia 3 if we shell out for the game on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC before October 7th no matter the bundle you are looking for. Read More...

Spider-Man During E3 it was revealed that Spider-Man was getting yet another title in the mix but this won't be a Spider-Man game tied into anything but the general lore Another one of the huge surprises out of E3 was the announcement of a new Spider-Man game coming into the mix. Maybe not a huge surprise given the agreement between Sony and Marvel for the IP but the bigger one would be that Insomniac Games is doing the building and that it will not be linked into the new film at all. In fact, this Spider-Man title will be a completely standalone title and unsurprisingly available for the PS4 sometime in the future. How long into the future is of course a good question as this is still a working title for the game but it would make sense to use the synergy of the new film; so maybe July of 2017… Of course as this is just an announcement and a tease for the new Spider-Man title, information for the game is still sparse. The Walking Dead The first teaser trailer for The Walking Dead's third season has been revealed and it looks like The Walking Dead is jumping forward in time but keeping fan favorites If you were able to pay full attention to everything out of E3 then this may be old news to you but for those who were overloaded with news, then you may have missed that The Walking Dead season three is slated to start up sometime this Fall. Not only that but we have a nice little trailer out of Telltale Games and a few little tidbits on the game directly. Given the success of The Walking Dead in general it shouldn't have been that big of a shocker to see the third season coming but in this season it looks like the surprises are more in the game than that it is coming. Mafia 3 While at E3 I was able to see Mafia 3 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Mafia 3 Here we go with one of the larger titles that 2K Games was pimping out at E3 and now we have a solid look at Mafia 3 in terms of world and gameplay. Gameplay that was shown off by none other than the devs over at Hangar 13 in the mix of a time jump back to the era that the game takes place in. Of course there is a whole lot more to go into for Mafia 3, as with all of the other games out there, but this is the best look we have until October 7th when it finally lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
