The Last Of Us Is Not Leaving Behind The DLC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of November 2013 - 07:08 PM ]
A New Story DLC Pack Has Been Announced For The Last Of Us Titled Left Behind. Check Out The Trailer If you have not played The Last Of Us yet or at least made it about half way through I would recommend not reading much more or even watching the clip below as it does link up to one of my favorite parts of Ellie's past. That part being where she talks about how she survived with her friend only to have her friend get infected and forcing Ellie to go solo. While there isn't much detail on what we will be getting in this new DLC I think with what is shown below we can assume it has much to do with this part of her past. Read More...

Here's Some More Fact From Myth For BioShock Infinite's DLC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of October 2013 - 04:47 PM ]
We still don't have a solid date on when we can expect the story DLC for BioShock Infinite, but that doesn't stop the train of fun. Most fans of the franchise can't wait to go back into Rapture with Booker and Elizabeth. I'd be lying if I wasn't interested in see if this will be a side story to BioShock and not just another side dimension that takes place in Rapture with no real hooks to the original story. I'm going to guess that it is a side dimension with considerable similarities to the original Rapture we wandered in BioShock and BioShock 2, but we'll see. Any-who, just as they had for the launch of Infinite, Irrational has another fun and informative clip for the new DLC Burial At Sea. Read More...

The BioShock Infinite DLC Is Announced. Is It What Was Originally Promised?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of August 2013 - 05:59 PM ]
Here we go. Just the announcement that everyone who was a fan of BioShock Infinite has been waiting for; the DLC. Seems odd that so many people were pining for this DLC yet normally get pissed when publishers announce some cool little thing is going to end up being DLC at some point. So let's take a look at what is coming out/out at the time of publishing this story. Now I clearly remember being told that we were getting new story DLC out the gate or at least shortly after the release of the full game. It looks like we have here is more or less "challenge maps" instead. Read More...

The DLC For This Article Will Be Released Soon.
by Kenton Winkfield [ Tuesday, 22nd of January 2013 - 07:07 PM ]
I love it when I turn on a game I've already played and beaten and find that there is brand new stuff to do thanks to new content being added. But, in a world dominated by the internet is it really such a good thing now? I feel that games now-a-days are sometimes left incomplete in order to reach deadlines, and the finishing touches are just brought out at a later date in the form of patches or add-ons. In the past; unless you were on a PC; an incomplete game was rare on consoles before they could access the internet. And unless the game was incredibly good, people wouldn't go out to buy the next installments. Read More...

Rock Band Hits 4000 Songs!
by Matt Waitt [ Saturday, 10th of November 2012 - 12:25 AM ]
If you're a fan of Rock Band, like me, then you should know that there is a crap load of songs for DLC. So many in fact that over the past week they broke the 4,000th song mark for their franchise. I don't know about you guys, but over 4,000 songs to choose from? That is an amazing feat. I've been playing Rock Band since the very first one, and had a ball playing through the second and third installments of the franchise. I can't wait for a fourth installment, if there is ever going to be one. I hope so. Read More...

Review: The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim - Hearthfire
by Irene Collazo [ Monday, 10th of September 2012 - 10:00 PM ]
I gave Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC approximately 25 hours of my life this past weekend. Considering all of the not-so-sure attitudes towards it, I gave it a try. Once I started my game I did a bit of running around Skyrim. Finally, an 80% naked courier approached me to propose a message from the Jarl of Farkreath stating that I could buy land in that area. There are a total of three plots of land you can purchase from Farkreath, Dawnstar, or Morthal. You can get all three if you would like. Read More...

by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 6th of June 2012 - 04:51 AM ]
Finally! With a game this big it is a little surprising that Bethesda is ready to give us new DLC. Honestly, Skyrim has only been out since Last November (2011) and we are seven months from its release and already we are waiting for a full expansion pack called Dawnguard. Prepare yourself Dovakhiin; there are vampires in the woods.Seriously, check out the video below. There are people that haven't even beaten the game yet (*cough* Quiglin *cough*) that adding this type of expansion pack is huge for. Read More...

by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 4th of April 2012 - 04:37 PM ]
…and we're not gonna take it anymore. That may only be slightly paraphrasing the movie Network, but then again, we're gamers, so we'll probably continue to "take it." We're hoping you take and enjoy our latest episode of the Aggrocast as Corey, Brian and Matt talk about the latest news, including the recent announcement for Amazon Instant Video on PS3. The guys also talk about their latest adventures in gaming - including World of Warcraft, iPad games, SNES games, Wheels of Destruction and Mass Effect 2. Our Community Spotlight this week focuses on our support for Aggrogamer's own Chief Editor, David Becker, as he attempts to break gender-stereotypes and win the Maxim Gamer Girl contest. Read More...

Aggrocast Episode Ninety Four: DLC Evolution and Expectations
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 22nd of February 2012 - 11:14 PM ]
The Aggrocast returns to its roots with the typical format. Matt, Corey and Brian first talk up what they've been playing - including Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Tiny Tower, Rock Band 3 and Final Fantasy XIII-2. Care / Don't Care this week moves to a shorter four-question format, tackling some recent news from the world of gaming. The segment ends with an important discussion about the situation revolving around Jennifer Hepler (from Bioware). Our main topic focuses on downloadable content (DLC) - where it originated, how it has evolved and how our expectations have changed over the recent past. Read More...

Not too much for you unless you are playing Call Of Duty on the 360 and a Premium Member to the Elite service. Even if you are don't expect more than the first two of twenty "Content Drops" for what is dubbed Content Season. Yes I know I used the word content quite a bit here, but bear with me and you will see what those in the listed circle are able to get as far as new content for Call Of Duty. You most likely guessed it if you haven't skipped to the video below that is showcasing the new content. We are getting two new maps. Read More...

Do You Wonder What Ryder White Was Thinking In Dead Island?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of January 2012 - 07:07 PM ]
If you are like me you might be curious on the motivations of antagonists in films and games. I mean not ever villain is like the Joker who just does messed up stuff for the sake of doing it. There is usually a motivation behind their actions. Well it looks like next month we all will get the chance to see what Ryder White had planned besides just trying to save his wife and self. According to the announcement the DLC, aptly titled Ryder White, will add several hours of game play where you will actually play as White. We will all know how it will end, but we will get more information on the overall story of Dead Island as well as what else was going on while the main four were doing their thing. Read More...

Mortal Kombat No Longer The Dream You Want
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of July 2011 - 10:26 PM ]
So this threw me for kind of a loop at Comic Con. The fourth, and possibly final, DLC character announced for Mortal Kombat is Freddy Krueger. Not the rumored Green Lantern or some other comic super hero but the master of nightmares. Not to mention the most recent incarnation of him with a few tweaks to make him a realistic fighter for the game. That means that they needed to glove each hand instead of just the one. Below you can view the new game play trailer for Mr. Read More...

Waterworks In The New Mortal Kombat DLC
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 18th of July 2011 - 03:55 PM ]
The guys over at NetherRealm Studios have released a few trailers for their newest Mortal Kombat DLC character Rain. The trailers show off some of his back story, which is quite nice. Seems that after being orphaned from Shao-Khan's merciless army, the resistance adopted him and made him into a very powerful but arrogant warrior. After being denied a command position in the resistance he betrayed them and joined his mortal enemy, Shao-Khan. The trailers also shows off some very brutal combos and attacks that we can expect to dish out and sorely take to the face a couple dozen times. Read More...

Klassic Skins And Skarlet DLC Coming Soon To Mortal Kombat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of May 2011 - 09:03 PM ]
So that didn't take long at all. A little under two months out from launch and we are getting all those pretty pre-order exclusives for Mortal Kombat hitting the open market. I get that those who pre-ordered the game at a specific location have had access to whichever klassic character skin and fatality from day one, but do you feel any kind of special for being that big of a fan? I know I'd feel a little cheated as the proof of my fandom is now being given out to anyone who wants it now. The collection consists of seven pre-order klassic character skins (Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, Jade and Kitana) and klassic fatalities (Reptile, Scorpion and Sub-Zero). Read More...
