The Chronicle Continues
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of March 2009 - 04:04 PM ]
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles Announced With the 5th installment of the franchise mere hours away from the mass populace, it should really be no shock that Capcom is going to try and keep the Resident Evil steam roller going by announcing not one, not two, but three new games they plan to bring out to market before the end of the year. Looks like they want to make 2009 year of Umbrella. If only all three were actually original games. Read More...

3 Days of Resident Evil 5
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 11th of March 2009 - 08:05 AM ]
Resident Evil 5 is coming March 13th here in the US and today we bring you a retrospective of sorts, to get you all caught up to RE5.AS WITH THE PREVIOUS ARTICLE, THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS THAT DO NOT AFFECT THE GAMEPLAY/STORYLINE.Before we get off to the retrospective I just want to clear up some more questions I had gotten asked about RE5:Are there typewriters in the game to save your information? No, the only saving is via an autosave system that save after every checkpoint and chapter end. The checkpoints are fairly well setup and save before most major battles. Read More...

Wii DLC for the Week of 3/9
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 11th of March 2009 - 04:17 AM ]
Hey there kids, it's time for your weekly Wii wrap up.  Even though we're only being graced with one WiiWare and one Virtual Console release this week, your selection improves to help you erase the taste of Family&Friends Party Time Game Thing from last week.  As the one'n'one combination sadly becomes the standard for the Monday DLC drop, I find it interesting that even in this week's press release is referenced your growing library of games in your "refridgerator" when we have yet to receive any new information on a storage solution for the little white box. This week you get two old school games: one retro platformer from a retired mascot and one retro-styled side-scrolling shooter.  Whether it's nostalgia for the Master System or the arcades, you might have a reason to hit up the Wii Shop Channel this week. Violent Fur ball Of Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of March 2009 - 08:38 PM ]
X-Men Origins: Wolverine Game Trailer Just in time for the motion picture release we will see the game based on the new Marvel film. But little has been seen on this new game, pretty much about the same as the film short of trailers and such. But it would seem that is coming to an end to get gamers and those who love movie adaptations of games all pumped and rearing to drop a few dollars on Wolverine. Should it be a big surprise? Well the surprise here is that it looks really nice. Read More...

Enter The Gateway Between Worlds
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of March 2009 - 05:27 PM ]
Dark Void Website Up With Trailer For those of you that got excited a month or so ago when you saw the game play footage or even just Heard of Dark Void, then here is a bit more for you to get all sloppy downstairs about. Well somewhat at least. I tried to find easter eggs anywhere on the site, but there was nothing I could find. No there isn't any more news about this game or really any further details that haven't already been released out there for you, but you can surf to the game's official website and check out the new trailer for this game. When you are done with that, you can also sign up for updates to be sent to you when they have more. Read More...

Beautiful Blur Of Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of March 2009 - 06:07 PM ]
Screens From Xbox's Ninja Blade Who doesn't like Ninjas? Besides maybe Pirates, or Robots, or Zombies. Okay, well there is a small list there that might not like them. But you know what they can't not like about Ninjas, these new screens for the game Ninja Blade. Ok, well maybe they can because they don't have a new game coming out. But now I'm just rambling on. In any instance, the below images do a great job of showing off the style and look of the new game due out in a about a month or so. Read More...

Look Ma, No Hands
by Brian Bentley [ Saturday, 7th of March 2009 - 11:43 PM ]
Gaming news and events here in the City of Cincinnati happen about as often as the city’s professional sports teams have a winning season.  So, when I saw we reported that the Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars van tour was making a stop on the north side of the city, I knew I wanted to put my hands on the game and create a nice article to post here on Pwned.com. You may remember last year’s E3, during Nintendo’s press conference, watching Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Cammie Dunaway using the Wii Balance Board to “snowboard” in a business suit with Shaun White nearby looking like a tool. More Hidden Mercenaries
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of March 2009 - 11:58 PM ]
Resident Evil 5: Mercenaries What kind of Resident Evil title would it be if it didn't have a Mercenaries type extra mini-game added into the mix right? Well Capcom knew this would be something fans of the franchise would be looking for and up until earlier today they didn't let too much out about the feature of the game. Well at least fans that have looked forward to it since it first came around in Resident Evil 2 and then pretty much now a staple. That's right, there will be a Mercenaries game added to your menu once you beat the game through on one go around. Read More...

Here Comes The Walrus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of March 2009 - 04:28 PM ]
THE BEATLES: ROCK BAND WORLDWIDE RELEASE SET FOR 9/9/09 I guess all of the talks have finalized and all of the licensing is settled for today they announced when we can all look forward to playing the collective works of The Beatles in a Rock Band type arena. That would be the 9th of September this year. Oh, and get this, it will be available worldwide and on all three of the major next gen consoles all at the same time. Let that set in for a second because I know that is some shocking news given the staggered releases from before, both location-wise and platform-wise. Read More...

Wii DLC for the Week of 3/2
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 4th of March 2009 - 03:58 AM ]
After a big week last week releasing four games, Nintendo gears back down to its normal conservative self.  This week in Wii DLC we have a game for everyone and a game for one.  For everyone in your household we have Gammick Entertainment's Family&Friends Party.  After searching their site extensively and finding no trace of the game, I had to rely on on Nintendo's exciting trailer.  You may not have family or friends to play with when they find out you spent 1,000 Wii Points on this game.On the flip side of the coin, on Virtual Console, is another Square Enix RPG from the Super NES days: Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen. Lemmy The Social Distortion
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of March 2009 - 09:35 PM ]
More Game Footage Showing Of Characters In Guitar Hero: Metallica So as it is no big surprise that this game is rolling out here in the U.S. at the end of the year, it should also be no big surprise that the marketing campaign will be starting soon, if not already, to start weaseling you out of your hard earned cash for this game. Damn that was long winded there. But in any instance. Read More...

Master Chief Was There For Population Control
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of March 2009 - 07:04 PM ]
A Cool Look At What Halo Wars Brings To The Story With Halo Wars releasing today, yes slackers it came out today, the minds behind the game and over all story decided to bring everyone a cool little look at the game from the story side of things. YES GAMES HAVE STORY! Mixed in are few other people who just have strong opinions on the Halo franchise, but for the most part they have a fun, good ol' time with this video discussing things that all Halo fanatics, on the story side, want to know. I was at the Comic Con panel for this and yes there are those people out there. One thing that I find pretty cool for the over all story was the fact that they bring out in the game how the Spartans where not originally suppose to be "space marines. Read More...

Check Out These New Final Fantasy XIII Screenshots + Translations
by Sam [ Tuesday, 3rd of March 2009 - 05:02 PM ]
As we start to enter March, Square Enix continues to tease us with more in game screen shots from the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII. Below are just a couple pictures found on the Famitsu website and under each picture was a description that I just went ahead and translated them to understand what is being said about each picture."[kokun] is ruled to be restrained by the troop of the “saintly prefecture”, the people whom it has been about to be banished to pulse. That they probably will be rescued, those where you stand up, are the young people who are called Nora. Read More...

A Game You May Have Missed: Noby Noby Boy
by Kevin [ Monday, 2nd of March 2009 - 03:33 PM ]
Every now and again, I'll look for a title that may have fallen through the cracks or that I know is new to some and familiar to others. More often than not it'll be a title that either caused my head to implode or really seemed to fall below the radar.Noby Noby Boy is a little title for the PS3 by Keita Takahashi, the creator of the Katamari Damacy series. I picked up solely on that premise alone - becuase of the inventiveness of the original and the expectation of something just as entertaining. That being said, I'm not sure what this game is.
