The Surge Is Letting Us Target Some Limbs & Then Take The Spoils
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of April 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Surge The limb cutting mechanic for The Surge has a new trailer to try and show it off as well as the loot and crafting system that The Surge will employ Here we go with yet another video for The Surge and this time it is slated toward a mechanic I have been trying to wrap my head around in the game. Deck 13 has stated that there is a limb cutting mechanic in the game and has shown it off a few times before. From what I've seen in the past for The Surge it looks like just how it sounds as limbs do come off when hit, but what I have yet to understand is just how we do this without just flailing wild and hoping for the best. Jump For Joy As We Happy Few Gets Another Major Update & Area To Explore
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of March 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
We Happy Few The second major update for We Happy Few has been released and this one adds in some requested items as well as adding to We Happy Few a new area to explore Great news for all of those gamers out there still enjoying We Happy Few. It looks like there is now even more to enjoy as a new major update for the game has been pushed out there that adds a whole new area to explore and quest on. Not only that, but some other great things have been added into the mix so that you can now stop pestering Compulsion Games for a bit so they can double down on making We Happy Few a final project and not an early access thing that we have right now. When you force the developers to look at things that could be left alone for now it only pushes the final launch out just that much further. Read More...

Enter Senua’s Soundscape With The Latest For Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of March 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Hellblade The latest developer diary for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has been released and this one goes into just how sound in Hellblade will be a huge aspect Every time I see something new for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice I am generally impressed and can't wait to see where it all goes from there. This time around I can't say that I saw anything new and impressive with Ninja Theory's latest developer update for the game. Thankfully this is not due to the team faltering on Hellblade or anything, but because this time around it is all about the audio and in that aspect I am taken back yet again. Read More...

Here's My Wish List Of Things I'd Like To See In Destiny 2
by Greg Tatterfield [ Thursday, 30th of March 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Destiny 2 Now that Destiny 2 has been given a full announcement, here's a wish list of items I'd like to see in Destiny 2 when all is said and done The new Destiny update, The Age Of Triumph, just released which brought all the end game raids up to max light and has the game feeling fresh again. Re-expediting the classic content which made up the early days of the game and the release of the Destiny reveal coming in the next few days from Bungie has me thinking about what I would like to see in Destiny 2 when it releases in September 8th. 1. No More Rumors As Destiny 2 Is Officially Announced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of March 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Destiny 2 Not long after the Destiny 2 rumors of last week, it looks like Destiny 2 has been given the full announcement treatment to entice fans Last week you may or may not have seen or heard about Destiny 2 getting possibly leaked out there via a few promotional posters showing up online. Not the first time something like that has bitten a developer in the ass, MKX, but it looks like Bungie would have been the most recent one. This of course led many to question if Destiny 2 was truly coming or it was a hoax of some sorts. Thankfully the wait has only been a few days as it looks like Activision gave the go ahead to officially announce the game is coming and then gave us all a nice little teaser image for the game. Review — Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Styx We sit down and review Styx: Shards Of Darkness. The goblin is back and there is even more to steal & kill. Here's our review of Styx: Shards Of Darkness Styx is finally back and doing what he does best in Styx: Shards Of Darkness; stealing and killing. It's been a long wait since he was the Master Of Shadows and brought his fun to the screen but Cyanide Studios didn't want the little guy falling into the darkness of obscurity and brought us yet another experience through the eyes of the thieving goblin. Hopefully learning from any mistakes and adding in just enough new items to make the game feel the same but enough to warrant the extra funds that Focus Home Interactive doled out for the game. None the less, here's our review on Styx: Shards Of Darkness and just how the game did in our eyes. Read More...

Be Stronger, Faster, & Tougher As The Surge Has A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Surge The final release date for The Surge has been set and with it we have another fun CG video for The Surge to celebrate and get us amped up even more It looks like today is the day that we change The Surge's May release date into a solid May 16th release date as it has now been set for us. This was about when I figured that Deck 13 would be looking to release the game, but now it is confirmed and those waiting to give it a good play can now try to shuffle their schedules around to fit it in. There are already a few other great titles listed as launching on the same day, but all in different gameplay styles than The Surge so now you will have options and yet another title to put in when you need to break up the flow or monotony of the others out there. by Duke Searles [ Wednesday, 15th of March 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
System Shock 3 A new publisher has joined to help System Shock 3 finally come to fruition after System Shock 3 was first confirmed back in 2015 with little else Maybe you remember back in December of 2015 when we finally had word that System Shock 3 was officially in the works or maybe you don't. It has been quite some time since we've hear anything new out of Otherside Entertainment on it and I know it fell on the back-burner for me as well. As it turns out it looks like System Shock 3 is still happening and that Starbreeze will be helping bring the game to market for the PC and "other platforms. Read More...

Styx: Shards Of Darkness Now Lets You Kill With A Buddy Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of March 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Styx It looks like Styx will be getting another buddy in Styx: Shards Of Darkness and this time it is one of your real-world friends The wait for Styx: Shards Of Darkness is finally over as the game finally comes to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 14th. That's not exactly why we are here though as not only is Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive bringing the game to us but they are also bringing in the ability to play the game with a friend. Not the friend that we've seen already for Styx in terms of his clone but we are getting Co-Op game play in Shards Of Darkness. As if setting up all of our kills solo wasn't going to be fun enough but now we can do it with any of our friends who also enjoy slaying with this little goblin. Read More...

See How A Goblin Is Made Here For Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Styx A new developer diary for Styx: Shards Of Darkness shows off a bit more of the game as well as how Styx has been evolved since the last game and beyond If Styx: Shards Of Darkness will be your first foray with this little goblin then A, you are missing out, and B, you need a crash course in who this little goblin is and how he has been crafted for the game and how he has evolved since. It would be odd if Cyanide Studios left him in the past and didn't use all of the new hardware and game to further show off this amazing character and while they are odd, they are not that odd. This is why we have a new developer diary of sorts to show off Styx in his new light as well as to get to know his personality a bit more and just to enjoy another great IP that is coming out of Focus Home Interactive. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Has Been Given A Release Date To Run Too
by Jana Lass [ Monday, 20th of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Crash Bandicoot A release date for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has been set and it looks like June will be when we dive back into these three Crash Bandicoot titles in HD Get ready to clear some calendar space as the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has finally be given a release date to look forward to and that would be June 30th now. This would be the latest HD collection that Vicarious Visions has been remastering for Activision and it is coming for the PS4. While I know many gamers out there would have rather had a full and new Crash Bandicoot title, at least this is a start and a nice little slice of nostalgia for all of those hardcore fans of the IP as well as the PlayStation name.
