Styx: Shards Of Darkness Has Been Delayed But We Have New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of October 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Styx Delays have hit Styx: Shards Of Darkness until next year but with it comes a new look at Styx and some of the upgrades that will be coming with this game It looks like my worries were true as it looks like Styx: Shards Of Darkness has been delayed until Q1 of 2017. I thought this might happen as we got closer to the original timeline that Cyanide Studios wanted to hit but as we had not heard much on the development of the game before now it was looking like a delay was inevitable. Not to tragic of news for a lot of gamers I know as Styx has been more of an underground kind of game already, pun intended, but as the team has been upgrading to the Unreal 4 engine for this game they and Focus Home Interactive though the delay was needed and I am going to side on this for sure. Now that the downer news is over here, let's move onto a bit of the new stuff for Styx: Shards Of Darkness. Read More...

There Is A Way To Play Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Right Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty It looks like Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available to play right now for those who pre-ordered Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Earlier in the week we were able to see the launch trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. We thought it was a bit odd for Activision to pump this out almost a month before the launch of Infinity Ward's upcoming title that it came bundled with but we rolled with it. Especially since it was looking like you needed to have the physical disc for Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare in the system to actually give the game a play. That is until now for those who have happened to pre-order it all on the PS4 as there is a nice little surprise going on right now. Read More...

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Is Giving Us Some Flashbacks
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of October 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty A new trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has released and it gives quite a recap of what happened in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare the first time It seems a bit odd to have a launch trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered already given that it doesn't come out until November 4th but that doesn't mean we don't have it already. To be fair this was just a remastered version of the game Infinity Ward gave us so long ago but it does feel odd that Activision would pump out the trailer so far in advance. Oh well. Read More...

Let's Sink Our Teeth Into Vampyr's Combat & Upgrading System
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of September 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Vampyr A few new screenshots for Vampyr have been released and with those come a few updates on how combat in Vampyr will actually work We've seen the combat in Vampyr a bit in motion already but there wasn't any real explanation on how it all plays or why we need to do anything other than the amazing supernatural attacks that we've seen Jonathan do. I think this is part and partial to Dontnod not really showing much of the game since it was officially announced but also, as I am sure, Focus Home Interactive wanted them to hold off so they could hype the game a bit more. Thankfully that hype is on us right now as we have a better explanation on just how Vampyr's combat system is going to work and mix into the core game in general. Read More...

Review — Batman: The Telltale Series — Children Of Arkham
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Telltale Series — Children Of Arkham. This is the second episode of Telltale's take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did The time has come and the second episode of Batman: The Telltale Series is here and we get to see if the momentum from the first episode keeps going or not. Telltale Games did knock it out of the part with the first episode for me but with the chance that the story could change drastically or the gameplay could falter at any episode there is a chance. None the less this should be when all hell breaks loose in the story and builds toward the true climax in some way just as all Batman comics, games, and films usually do by this point. Read More...

Sundered Has Been Announced And Test Your Sanity And Survival Skills
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of September 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Sundered A new title, Sundered, has been announced and Sundered looks to bring back some of the great Metroid and Castlevania platforming to us all In the mix of all the larger titles that are being announced and shown off here as of late it is a bit refreshing to see a smaller title like Sundered get the full announcement and everything. This would be the follow up title from Thunder Lotus Games here that brings us back into the Metroid and Castlevania style of gameplay all with some amazing hand-drawn art. I'm not talking that Sundered has hand-drawn art here to look at in terms of concept but that the game is going to have that look and feel in the final game when it launches in 2017 for the PS4, Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. Review — The Bunker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Bunker We sit down and review The Bunker. It has a new and dark take on the point and click genre. Here's our review of The Bunker We caught wind of The Bunker not that long ago but it definitely piqued our interest over here with the creep factor as well as the fun twist on the point-and-click genre of game. While Splendy Games isn't breaking new ground on using live actors for the visuals and gameplay, it is something that we don't usually get. Not only that but Wales Interactive helped take The Bunker out to a real world bunker to capture all of the performances and interactions to make sure it felt authentic. Read More...

Apparently We Knew Nothing About Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Story
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 19th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty A new story trailer for Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been released and it looks like it is taking Call Of Duty down some usual paths Up to now we've only had some fun and bits to speculate on for Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare's campaign story that we are going to get to play here in a few months. So far the game has looked a lot like a lot of other shooters out there and some have stated that it looks like Infinity Ward has just been copying off other franchises that Activision doesn't own. I can see the comparisons so far but we've been reassured that this will be a Call Of Duty game and not a rip-off of other IPS. Read More...

You Have To Hold That Fart Longer As South Park: The Fractured But Whole Is Delayed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
South Park It looks like South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed a bit as this new South Park games is now set for 2017 Here we go with yet another sad bit of news as it looks like South Park: The Fractured But Whole will no longer be hitting that December 6th date that we were given back at E3. It's odd as it did seem like Ubisoft was so certain that they were going to be able to hit this date only a few weeks ago during Gamescom but that just isn't the case anymore. In fact there is no news on when South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC outside of early 2017. Read More...

Not only that but this week also marks the time when you can pick up the physical disc version of Telltale Games' latest story game. Of course that will be only a Season Pass disc for Batman: The Telltale Series and not all five episodes but it will give you a chance to have a physical disc for the game as you wait for the rest of the episodes to flow out like all of the other digital gamers out there who are giving the game a go on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One or PC. To go along with all of this and the upcoming episode for next week, we have some new screenshots for Batman to have a look at the chaos that will be coming. Read More...

Skylanders Imaginators Honors Crash Bandicoot A Bit Before Launch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of September 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Skylanders New gameplay for Skylanders Imaginators has been released and it shows off one of the new Skylanders we all know as Crash Bandicoot We've all known that Crash was coming to the PS3 and PS4 version of Skylanders Imaginators and if not then you know now. He will be coming to the game in form of one of the new Sensei characters that Toys For Bob have built for the game and through the seemingly close relationship that Activision has with PlayStation now. Of course Skylanders Imaginators is also coming to the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U on October 16th but this is the console exclusive we are talking about here and just like the last addition to the franchise we'll only be talking about the Sony version for now. Well, Crash has just hit his 20th anniversary and it looks like Skylanders Imaginators wants to help celebrate it all with some new gameplay showing him in action in the game. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]

Io Interactive isn't holding back on this one as we move deeper into the story that has been unfolding for a while now. Square Enix has is all packaged up for us and now on September 27th we'll be playing the next-to-last part of Hitman proper. So Much Multiplayer Is Coming To Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of September 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty The big reveal for Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer modes has occurred as well as a nice look at Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare's remastered version It is no huge surprise that Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare has a multiplayer mode added into the mix for it. I think it would have been more shocking for Infinity Ward to announce there wouldn't be a multiplayer mode in the game. We know that Activision will never let that happen to a Call Of Duty title so I doubt it will ever happen but that isn't why we are here right now. There will be a multiplayer mode in the game again and now we have the official reveal and a bit of a breakdown of what is new and what is old coming to us on November 11th. Read More...

Batman: The Telltale Series' Second Episode Has Been Dated Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of September 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Batman The second episode of Batman: The Telltale Series has a date now and it looks like we'll be joining more of the Batman fun before the end of September It's hard to think that the first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series was out just over a month ago now. Given that Telltale Games has so many stories and IPs going on right now it is also shocking to see that the second episode of this IP will be out in only a few weeks now. I keep saying it every time but it does look like they have perfected their development cycle for Batman here and hopefully it will stay the same for all of their games and only get better. But for now we get to see the next episode coming out on September 20th worldwide. Read More...
