Overwatch Has Two New Characters To Add To The Roster
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of March 2015 - 08:01 PM ]
During the Blizzard PAX East Panel it was revealed that there are two new characters for their upcoming shooter Overwatch In case you were not able to catch what Blizzard had to show for Overwatch at PAX East, then you should know that there have been two new characters announced for the game. Not too surprising given the past of Overwatch and the fact that we all want to have as many options when it comes to our shooters online. Especially when it is all team based and set in a pretty fantastical world. This now brings us up to 14 "heroes" total to choose from in Overwatch. Read More...

A new trailer for Street Fighter V shows off that teased Nash character in action and then teases another character for the next trailer Charlie/Nash is now longer a teased character for Street Fighter V as we now have some footage of him in full action. Maybe you remember the tease as it was back in December of last year or maybe you don't. It also happens to show some of the insane combos that Nash will have as well as the ability to teleport in the PS4/PC title. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Bethesda announced today that they will be holding their own press conference at E3 2015 but with no details about what will be shown It looks like Bethesda wants in on all of the E3 fun of hosting their own press conference as the publisher just announced on their blog that they would be doing just that. No longer will they be held to just a booth and a kick-ass off site party/get-together at E3. They will be taking a stage and showing off what they have in the works for the coming years and most likely announcing a few things we all may have been wanting for a while. Read More...

Lady Hammerlock Is Coming To Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Lady Hammerlock was announced at PAX South 2015 to be a new DLC character for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel starting January 27th Hopefully you Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel fans were keeping a close eye on the news out of PAX South over the weekend as it looks like Lady Hammerlock is joining the rogue's gallery of characters you can play in the game starting tomorrow (1/27/15). For those not in the know Lady Hammerlock happens to be Sir Hammerlock's sister whom he himself has a bit of fear of. I'm guessing jealousy as well as Lady Hammerlock is the heiress to the Hammerlock fortune leaving her to be able to buy all of those cool toys we will be using to freeze and destroy the inhabitants of Pandora coming up soon. This Week In Video Games 1/5/15 — 1/9/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 10th of January 2015 - 12:15 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Here we go for the end of another week in video games. While not everything here was directly for the software side of things we did have some great highlights for the hardware side and then a bit of software. I blame CES bringing us so many cool things to play our video games with. Could you imaging Resident Evil running with the Oculus Rift or Morpheus. Or maybe allow all of us who are not parkour masters to run through Dying Light and give us all a feel of the action. Read More...

The Nyko Data Bank May Be A Cheaper Storage Solution For The PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
The Nyko Data Bank was shown off at CES 2015 and adds an extra option to the internal storage for the PS4 in the way of 3.5" Drive If you've thought that only 500GB for your PS4 was a bit on the low side then you may want to keep your eye out for the Nyko Data Bank sometime later this year. The Nyko Data Bank, pictured below, is a nice little add-on for the PS4 that will allow you to swap out the system's hard drive for a 3.5" drive as opposed to the 2.5" that we are currently stuck with. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
LyteShot, a new gaming platform, was shown off at CES 2015 and has had its Kickstarter campaign kicked off This may be the first time you've heard of LyteShot but I've heard a few things and had the pleasure of seeing things up close and personal at CES here this week. Nothing in action outside of the below Kickstarter video for the gaming platform but if you can use your imagination, as the platform wants, then you can see how this could be the next great addition to gaming; both video and physical. If you follow along here you may get to understand and have a hand in bringing the whole thing to light. Pun intended. Read More...

Star Fox Could Be Playable At E3 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Shigeru Miyamoto stated in a recent interview with Smosh Games that Star Fox for the Wii U could have a playable demo at E3 2015 If you are a Star Fox and also on the list for going to E3 this year then you may be able to line up and play the game. At least if you are lucky enough to get in and willing to sit in the crazy long line that is going to inevitably be plaguing the Nintendo booth given the latest little tidbit revealed on Smosh Games. That being from Shigeru Miyamoto responding from the age old question of "when will we get to play [insert game]?" The game in question if you've been following along is of course Star Fox for the Wii U. Read More...

This Is What The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Looks Like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
New screenshots for the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta on the Xbox One have been placed online for those who are not in the beta yet If you are part of the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta then none of what you are about to see is going to be all that exciting. In fact you may want to move on as you have seen all of the footage live and in play already; hopefully. For everyone else then we have a bunch of new screenshots from 343 Industries to show everyone who has yet to pre-order Halo 5: Guardians or turned on the beta what they may be missing out on. Although it seems odd to think that anyone who would have access to the Halo 5: Guardians would not have been balls deep in it just yet… To be honest it looks just as we all would have thought Halo 5: Guardians to have looked. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Wait no longer as here are the free games coming to PlayStation Plus January 2015. Happy New Year to us all Just like that blasted Christmas week we are back to scraping the bottom of the barrel for news and here we have the free games for PlayStation Plus in 2015. The New Year's week is just as bad as ever for any hard hitting news and updates for the video game world. It sucks but at least you have us here to try and keep you informed as much as we can and this time it is for all of you playing the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita as long as Sony can keep the PSN up and running. But that is a whole different issue now. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]

This last weekend now marks the first bit of gameplay as well as the first public match of the game being played. This of course all took place during the 2014 Capcom Cup in San Francisco, CA last Saturday (12/13/14). This Week In Video Games 11/24/14 — 11/28/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 29th of November 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games The biggest take away for this week in video games would have to be Evolve, Reviews, and Telltale. When you look at the list of what we were able to cover this week in video games then it should be easy for you to see just about that. There were a few deviations from that list of items there but with American Thanksgiving and Black Friday causing so many hiccups in the news streams not many other developers and publishers had much in the way of news and updates for their titles. I am sure that will not be the case for the next few weeks given what is coming up in the world of video games. Read More...

Review: WWE 2K15 [Next Gen]
by Greg Tatterfield [ Monday, 24th of November 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
We sit down and play 2K’s first next gen WWE game: WWE 2K15. Does it transition well into next gen? Find out in my review After a brief delay the long running WWE series has finally come to the next gen consoles. This time developed by visual concepts and helped by series veterans Yukes. WWE 2K15 makes a bunch of improvements upon the core gameplay of past games. Hated WWE 2K15 makes some great improvements over past games. I didn't have many things that I disliked about the game except for one feature. Read More...
