A transcript of EA's 2014 E3 press conference Like any press conference should start, EA's began with the CEO Andrew Wilson taking the stage and welcoming everyone to E3 and their press conference. He immediately sets the show off by announcing a video for Star Wars: Battlefront will be shown at E3. He announces that the conference will be showing games releasing in the upcoming months and other games that will take longer but we'd get more in-depth looks. While At E3 I Got To See Dead Island 2 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Ah Dead Island 2, now here is a title I can completely get behind and that was based just on the trailer that announced that the game was coming. Who doesn't like a little zombie killing action in a non-depressing yet not-over-the-top comedic way? More or less the balance between The Walking Dead and Dead Rising in terms of tone and mood. Yes, the previous titles were not all that well received but I blame that on other critics not know what is truly good for them to unwind and eviscerate. Read More...

While At E3 I Got To See LittleBigPlanet 3 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Talk about a shocker out of left field with LittleBigPlanet 3. I knew it was coming sooner or later but when Media Molecule made it well noted they were not going to be showing anything at E3 I passed the hope for another LittleBigPlanet off. Then of course Sony had to go and change developers to Sumo Digital and that completely kept things under the radar. But none the less we have LittleBigPlanet 3 incoming for the PS4 and PS3 and I was able to get a bit of hands on with it at the Sony booth. Read More...

While at E3 I got to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it All of the teases and short shows of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can all be put aside now as we were given a new and nice look at the game and features that have yet to be announced or shown in a public form. It also kind of puts the whole demo thing for Ground Zeroes to the side as with what was shown here at E3 was considerably more and with a demo you should get all of the game's mechanics and features. Yes the core running, stealth, and shooting are all the same but here is what we didn't get to play before but will once The Phantom Pain launches. Read More...

While at E3 I got to see HUNT: Horrors Of The Gilded Age in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it Talk about a hidden gem with HUNT: Horrors Of The Gilded Age coming from Crytek. We had an official announcement just a few weeks ago but it didn't do much to impress me as an original IP but more the blending of two other IPs coming soon. I could not have been more mistaken after seeing what they had to show on the floor at E3 for HUNT: Horrors Of The Gilded Age. It does have similarities to games like The Order: 1886 and Evolve but it really shines as its own idea. Read More...

Here's my take on it One of the larger titles named and shown during the Sony press conference was a game called Bloodborne. The next title coming from Japan Studios and From Software for the PS4. You may know them from King's Field and Dark Souls and it looks like Bloodborne is along the same lines here. I had the pleasure of seeing their live gameplay demo on the show floor at E3. Dead Island 2 was announced at the Sony press conference and just as before it came with an amazing trailer to show it all off If I had to say one thing that Deep Silver does insanely well it has to be trailers for games and they did it again for Dead Island 2. EA and Visceral Games have made Battlefield: Hardline official and here is the trailer for the game to prove it I guess it only took a few 'leaks' of Battlefield: Hardline before EA and Visceral decided to let the secret out into the wild. It is sad that all of these other 'reputable' and 'deserving of early footage' outlets have decided to ruin the fun and excitement that I am sure EA was looking for at E3 but what is done is done. We can now be certain that Battlefield: Hardline is coming and that we will hopefully be getting a nice long look at it on the show floor and moving forward in the coming months leading up to the full launch of the game. As memory serves the original Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee looked spectacular using today's standards as a guide. At least if you could take what was on our standard resolution TVs back then and properly upscale it for our new high resolution/4K TVs. Those have only been followed by the news of how big and "hard to watch" the actual gameplay footage at E3 will actually be. As a man of his word, Hideo Kojima has given us just that with the following teaser video showing nothing but gameplay for The Phantom Pain.
