Alien Isolation Is Now A Movie Tie-In Game From The 70's
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Pre-order bonuses for Alien Isolation have been announced and it will let players recreate part of the original film during gameplay No, this isn't announcement about a new movie to go alongside the release of Alien Isolation. If the headline there confused you then I am not sorry to tell you that there is no new film. We are getting the chance to recreate part of the Alien film though; with some of the characters and voices that made the franchise so big that it spawned all those sequels, crappy games, and no Alien Isolation. Note that I have left Alien Isolation out of the crappy games category for now and then we will carry on. Read More...

I've Never Seen Anyone This Excited For Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Audio
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been released showing off the audio direction and design of the game Not only do we want our Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare to look good, we want it to sound good too. You know, to add all that extra immersion into the gaming world while we run all over other people's homeland shooting up the "bad guys" to our heart's content. Keyword here being immersion and audio has just as much to play into that as visual and great gameplay mechanics. This is why we are bringing you the latest in Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare dev diaries showing off very little of the tech going into doing just that. Read More...

Here Is The 15 Minute Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Demo From E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A narrated version of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel E3 demo has been released for those who may have missed it Last week we had the short "Survival Tips" video for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Now we have all the goodies that we actually were able to play on the floor at E3. I swear 2K is trying to keep the wonderment of E3 going as Evolve received all the limelight there and not their other titles. No matter the case though, they have taken it upon themselves to give us a little slice of the level and mission that they had to show. Spoiler alert, it looks like Borderlands in space with a few new gizmos and elements. Read More...

Miss The First Destiny Beta? The Next One Is Upon Us…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new Destiny beta trailer has been released to make sure we all know the dates that we will be able to play the beta again Just in case you missed out on the first Destiny beta (or alpha) do remember that there is another one slated for July 17th and July 23rd for PlayStation and Xbox respectfully. That is at least when they open up to all of those players out there who pre-ordered the game or all of those lucky enough to be granted early access by their respective news/blog sites. I'm almost sure that by the end of it all damn near anyone who wants access to the beta will have it with or without pre-order so I think the better thing to focus on here are the dates. Read More...

Here's What People Waited 2 Hours To See For Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel At E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The 'under the dome' E3 exclusive video for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has been released online for those who didn't get a chance to see it If there is one other thing I learned at E3 this year it is that all of you Borderlands fans are pretty damn rabid to see anything for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Case in point will be the below video that fans stood in line upwards of two hours just to see under the safety of a moon dome that took up a third of the entire 2K booth. Granted this was played just before we were all queued up to actually play Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel but only half of the group actually went on to do just that. Read More...

The Wolf Among Us Season Finale Will Be Upon Us Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The trailer for The Wolf Among Us' season finale has been released with the dates for us to bring the story to its conclusion Here we go with the ending of the first season of The Wolf Among Us. We have a new trailer for the episode and this time there is no waiting for the release dates as it looks like Telltale just figured that they should release everything all at the same time unlike the many times before. It does seem a bit odd that this episode is coming out before the next episode for The Walking Dead but at least we can see what happens in Fabletown now that 'war' has been declared by the better characters against the weaker. Yes, I think the protagonists are the weaker characters in the story here. Read More...

Alien Isolation Has A Few More Screenshots To Show Off The Horror
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
New screenshots for Alien Isolation have come out of hiding and are ready to pounce We had a few sexy screenshots for Alien Isolation. Now it looks like we have a few more that didn't make the cut earlier but they still show off how nice the game will look. At least in the terms of fire, make-shift Molotov Cocktails, and flame throwers. We can file all of these in the folder of "The Environment Looks Amazing And The Lighting Effects Are Awesome" for now. It's a long name but it will make it easy to search for later. Read More...

A new video for Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX has been released and shows off the differences between the SD and new HD versions of all the games Sometimes it takes nice little videos like the following Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX one to show how far we have advanced in the gaming world over the years. It's been only nine years since Kingdom Hearts II was released and I remember losing my brain when I saw how spectacular those looked back then. Now we get to see all of the hard work that has been put into upgrading the second wave of titles for the new collection from Disney and Square Enix. The video will show a considerable upgrade to all of the titles in the mix for Kingdom Hearts 2. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Deep Silver has just announced Escape Dead Island, a third-person survival mystery take on the Dead Island franchise from Fatshark Just in case you couldn't wait for some hardcore zombie killing action in Dead Island 2 or Dying Light (Coming 2015™), Deep Silver and Fatshark are bringing us yet another zombie slaying game of sorts with Escape Dead Island. It's not just zombie killing and surviving, but also a game about solving the mystery of what caused the outbreak and keeping your own sanity in the middle of this world crushing event. Also to deviate from the normal Dead Island type of formula is that Escape Dead Island will be in third-person view and with a graphic novel art style instead of the more realistic we are used to. A new 'dev diary' has been released for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare showcasing the advanced technology we will get to use Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been making its name recently for all those cool little toys we are going to be able to use while trying to win whatever war we are thrust into via the story.
