Sony Motion Controler Delayed... Big Surprise...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 20th of January 2010 - 05:13 PM ]
That's right. Get ready for that surprise. Just announced, Sony is pushing the launch of the new motion controllers back to this Fall instead of in the next few months as they stated at E3 2009. Not to big of a surprise as it was still in very early tech demo stage no more than a half a year ago. Even though according to the below press release, it isn't for development issues on the hardware side. But more along the lines of not having a large list of titles ready to go for the launch of the new controllers. I'm not to sure if I buy that, but at least it is a good excuse to wait on launching new controllers that will require a $40 camera as well as how ever much it will cost to buy them. Read More...

ESPN Coming To XBox 360
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 20th of January 2010 - 02:28 AM ]
With all the consoles (finally) starting to stream digital media, either from Netflix, or from online stores, it seems that the only natural progression would be to start showing live TV shows/sporting events. ESPN were in talks with Microsoft in a very "private" meeting, about the possibility to stream sporting events live on the XBox 360. Of course fee's would be involved but now your average gamer, on any given sunday, could sit at home and switch back and forth from Madden '10 to whatever football game was on. For a per-subscriber fee, ESPN could provide live streams of sporting events, similar to the ones available through ESPN 360, a service that is available from some high-speed Internet providers. Aliens and Predators Show Off Their Killing Moves
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of January 2010 - 05:19 PM ]
As is to be expected, there are a myriad of ways to kill each other in Sega and Rebellion's upcoming Aliens Vs. Predator. How many, well that number has yet to be counted, but from the below video you can get a small idea. Small, just for the fact that it is a quick minute montage of killing scenes from the game. From all creatures point of view. Yes humans are included in the "creatures" of the game. Read More...

The Blood And Metal Of God Of War III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of January 2010 - 02:26 PM ]
It is a well known fact that in God of War III you will be taking on huge bosses and traversing large environments that are literally the titans themselves that are suppose to be helping Kratos in the upcoming finale to the God of War storyline. If you had no clue of this, go back to Utah because that is apparently where you are from. Either that or read a bit more on this epic game. For all of you out there that know what the fuck I am talking about, you have been waiting to see what some of the levels will look like. Read More...

Resident Evil 5 Gone Gold Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of January 2010 - 03:53 PM ]
Here we go again... again. This is where the year of "Capcom forgetting how to count again" starts. At least this time when it starts it has a nice new video showcasing some of the stuff that will make us shell out more cash for games we already own. Like say, Sheva in a little red ridding hood costume and Chris looking like something from a Mad Max film. Not to mention all the extra story that justifies RE5 going into another gold phase only a year after the first version came out. From this video, I can actually see the worth in getting the DLC when it becomes available, but not a full new version of the disc. Read More...

Review: Bayonetta
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 16th of January 2010 - 01:07 AM ]
I went into Bayonetta with much enthusiasm, but still approached it with caution. Was this another Japanese action game that relies on a sexy female protagonist and forgoes gameplay (see Onechanbara)? No, Bayonetta proved itself to be so much more. Bayonetta is a witch trying to remember her past and stop the resurrection of Jubileus The Creator.  She fights angels and other angelic beings from Paradiso. She fights with a variety of melee weapons while dual wielding pistols in her hands as well as another pair attached to her heels. Read More...

How Did That Naughty Bear Get So Naughty?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of January 2010 - 06:00 PM ]
I've bet you been wondering the same thing since hearing about this game haven't you? Haven't you? You have heard about this twisted teddy bear game right? Looks kind of like Fairy Tale Fights with a bit of upgraded 3D graphics and just the same amount of cuddly, twisted humor. You know. Naughty Bear! Well if you haven't, then here's a link for you. It will tell you how the game seems like a mixture of Manhunt and cuddly bears all wrapped into one awesome game. Read More...

Final Fantasy XIII And Lady Bad Luck
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of January 2010 - 09:18 PM ]
Don't Panic! I've always wanted to start off with that. But as it says, don't panic. There has not been an announcement of a delay, set back or some other event to hindering Final Fantasy XIII from dropping on time. It is just a reference from the new trailer below. For once the characters of the story actually see how everything is happening in a string of bad luck. Now, if only they could reference the horrible voice acting that seems to be plaguing this new trailer. The trailer itself is just another great montage of scenes and voice acting from the English version due to come out in two months. Read More...

CES 2010: BioShock 2 Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of January 2010 - 12:08 AM ]
At this year's CES in Las Vegas, NV there was loads to show off in terms of hardware. At least as gaming consoles and gaming computers go. But what about some of the software that was shown for all of us gamers? Like a real hands on with the multiplayer of BioShock 2. Not just spiffy videos. Well this was one of the games that was being showcased for all who attended and found there way out to the IGN and Sprint trucks hidden in front of the convention. Let me start off, as I usually do when it comes to multiplayer, not a big fan of it. In fact with this title, I was loathing the fact it was having multiplayer added as it generally ruins the single player game. Read More...

CES 2010: nVidia Press Conference
by Binh Nguyen [ Saturday, 9th of January 2010 - 05:02 AM ]
As CES 2010 is now under way, so are the many news and notes that are coming out of the convention. The first event that Brian and I went to was the nVidia Press Conference. As we went to sit down we were given 3D glasses for a part of the conference. As the wait finally ended and the music started to kick into high gear, so did the montage that nVidia put together. The montage began with video games and movies but wasn't in 3D yet. After the montage was over, the President of nVidia, Jen-Hsun Huang came out and talked about not only the evolution of desktop PC (personal computers) but also the evolution of portable PC in general. EA shutting down multiple online servers
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 6th of January 2010 - 02:34 PM ]
Below is a list of games that will no longer have multiplayer support as of February this year.  EA says you can play these titles up until the actual shutdown date.  Community programs could shut down earlier, depending on circumstances.  A little surprise for you football buffs, Madden 09 is on this list for a February 9th shut down date.  What does that mean, that means you're gonna have to shell out some cash for Madden 10 if you want to get online and get your fix.Be sure to note which platforms are being shut down, not all titles are being shut down on all platforms, so make sure you take a good look as to which platforms will no longer be available. With the Holidays finally over and a brand new year ahead of us, Nintendo starts the new year with a bang... or at least with a bit of spice. Your cooking skills will be put to the test with Hell's Kitchen Vs, or maybe you'd rather duke it out in Final Fight 3. Let's see how good you really are when you play Pub Darts. Nintendo DSiWareTrajectilePublisher: NintendoPlayers: 1ESRB Rating: E (Everyone)Price: 500 Nintendo DSi Points™Description: Trajectile is a puzzle game that's as much about firepower as it is about brainpower, requiring you to line up your shot and launch a flurry of missiles at enemy targets. Uncharted: Santa's Fortune
by Kevin [ Friday, 25th of December 2009 - 02:21 PM ]
Well, with holidays comes gifts of some sort and the fine folks at Naughty Dog are at it again. Instead of overweight Drakes however, this time you'll get characters adorned with Christmas hats and a Double Cash weekend. This go round it will be from Thursday, December 24, 2009, at 10:00 AM PST through Sunday, December 27, 2009, at 11:00 AM PST. Not only will you gain double for your trouble with kill, but for medals as well. At this rate I would expect there to be something for the New Year with everyone in the New Year Baby's diaper.
