BioShock 2 Shows Us How To Use The Scout Plasmid

During your play through of BioShock, didn't you always wish there was a way to Scout out what was going on in the next room? Wouldn't have been nice to be able to do that and also set up or actually attack enemies in the next room so they were weaker before kicking down the door for the attack? I know I would have saved a few deaths if I was able to do that. Actually screaming out "I wish I could [insert what I said above]" when I died. Not really, but I can picture it in my head. XBox 360 Gets Monster Hunter In Japan

Capcom is pushing hard for the whole Monster Hunter franchise to take off, so what do they do, turn it into a console MMO. Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Frontier Online for the XBox 360 in Japan. A first for the Monster Hunter Franchise, which has never been on the XBox platform before. $15 a month to play a game online you don't even play by yourself? An online beta will start sometime in May, and according to the website it will have a release date of summer 2010. If your wondering if there is a western release date, there is none at this time. Just as promised, the Rock Band Network is up and running starting now. That's right, get ready for the flood of unknown musicians of every genre to start flowing on your XBox Live stores and shortly after on the PSN. Shortly meaning about a month later after getting the XBox exclusive treatment and testing out of the way. But that's neither here nor there for the actual news here. Sony Motion Controler Delayed... Big Surprise...

That's right. Get ready for that surprise. Just announced, Sony is pushing the launch of the new motion controllers back to this Fall instead of in the next few months as they stated at E3 2009. Not to big of a surprise as it was still in very early tech demo stage no more than a half a year ago. Even though according to the below press release, it isn't for development issues on the hardware side. But more along the lines of not having a large list of titles ready to go for the launch of the new controllers. I'm not to sure if I buy that, but at least it is a good excuse to wait on launching new controllers that will require a $40 camera as well as how ever much it will cost to buy them. Read More...

ESPN Coming To XBox 360

With all the consoles (finally) starting to stream digital media, either from Netflix, or from online stores, it seems that the only natural progression would be to start showing live TV shows/sporting events. ESPN were in talks with Microsoft in a very "private" meeting, about the possibility to stream sporting events live on the XBox 360. Of course fee's would be involved but now your average gamer, on any given sunday, could sit at home and switch back and forth from Madden '10 to whatever football game was on. For a per-subscriber fee, ESPN could provide live streams of sporting events, similar to the ones available through ESPN 360, a service that is available from some high-speed Internet providers. Resident Evil 5 Gone Gold Again

Here we go again... again. This is where the year of "Capcom forgetting how to count again" starts. At least this time when it starts it has a nice new video showcasing some of the stuff that will make us shell out more cash for games we already own. Like say, Sheva in a little red ridding hood costume and Chris looking like something from a Mad Max film. Not to mention all the extra story that justifies RE5 going into another gold phase only a year after the first version came out. From this video, I can actually see the worth in getting the DLC when it becomes available, but not a full new version of the disc. Read More...

I went into Bayonetta with much enthusiasm, but still approached it with caution. Was this another Japanese action game that relies on a sexy female protagonist and forgoes gameplay (see Onechanbara)? No, Bayonetta proved itself to be so much more. Bayonetta is a witch trying to remember her past and stop the resurrection of Jubileus The Creator. She fights angels and other angelic beings from Paradiso.
