New gameplay for XCOM 2 has been released and it focuses on the strategy elements of XCOM 2 as well as living in a big ass ship You wanted more gameplay for XCOM 2. Well now you are getting more gameplay for XCOM 2. The only thing is that we are not getting the turn-based gameplay but the strategy stuff that Firaxis Games is taking great care into allowing us to micromanage every little aspect of XCOM 2 with. Just what all of us were looking for with the franchise as it moves on from its better titles and leave the crummier ones in the dust. PlayStation Sony has announced that the PlayStation Experience will be happening again only this time the PlayStation Experience will be in San Francisco Given the success of last year's PlayStation Experience it would be a bit daft to think that it wouldn't be making a huge comeback this year. For the uneducated this would be Sony's huge PlayStation "Fan Fest" of sorts to show off all their new and current IPs, hardware, and ideas coming to their platforms. Seeing as they didn't make a big push for anything sans the Morpheus at E3 and other conventions we can most likely expect the PlayStation Experience to only show off items for the PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and the like but who knows? It has been made official as Resident Evil 2 is getting the remake treatment so even more gamers out there can experience the horror of Resident Evil 2 It looks like fans and the internet win again as Resident Evil 2 is getting a remake treatment and it won't be a fan project as we've seen spreading all over the internet. In fact this news comes right from the horse's mouth as Capcom has green-lit Resident Evil 2 Remake and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi will again be at the helm. That would be the producer behind Resident Evil HD Remaster that hit the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC not too long ago and I am pretty sure he has his hands in Resident Evil 0 Remaster as well. A new hunter for Evolve has been released and is currently available for Evolve's Hunting Season 2 DLC pack The hunt continues on as Evolve's second major DLC push brings us yet another Trapper to play with in the game. This would be part of the Hunting Season 2 DLC push that Turtle Rock Studios has been working on to keep fans playing Evolve as well as trying to draw in more fans for the game. If only they would have started with a character like Jack, or Jackal, from the start I might still be playing Evolve. There was so much to take in for this week we didn't get a chance to cover most things that cropped up for the industry at all. During Gamescom 2015 the release date for Battleborn was shared as well as a look at a few more the badasses of Battleborn That didn't take long as now we have a release date for Battleborn. This of course being October 31st 1864 … This being the title from Gearbox and 2K Games that was being shown off in great form at Gamescom recently. A new gameplay trailer for Mirror's Edge Catalyst was shown off at Gamescom 2015 and it shows us all that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be the reboot to the franchise we've wanted When I first heard that Mirror's Edge Catalyst was going to be a reboot of sorts for the franchise I was a little worried as I didn't think it needed a reboot. After my experience with it at E3 I was calmed down a little as it looked like DICE was going in the right direction even if it felt more like an expansion to the world and not a new title. After seeing what EA had to present for Mirror's Edge Catalyst during Gamescom here I think my worries are now pretty much faded away as even if it isn't going to be coined a sequel Mirror's Edge Catalyst is exactly what I was hoping for back when it was called Mirror's Edge 2. The Mafia 3 trailer has finally been released to give us a feel for what the game will be about as well as introduces us to Mafia 3's protagonist We've all been waiting patiently since we first heard about Mafia 3 being on its way and getting a trailer out of Gamescom here. Last week it cause such a stir that all kinds of rumors and speculation flew around the internet about what Mafia 3 that I am sure Hangar 13 had a few good laughs at us all. Only they and 2K Games truly knew what was going on with Mafia 3 but thankfully we've all been let in on the fun as the world reveal trailer for the game has finally landed. Looks like the cat is out of the bag as Mafia 3 has been confirmed to be in the works and out first look at Mafia 3 will be during Gamescom It's been five years in the making and now we have it confirmed that Mafia 3 is on its way to us. It's hard to believe it has been that long since Mafia II came out and won over so many critics including us but it has. Now the franchise has a new developer, Hangar 13, and we are getting to go back into the world of Mafia with Mafia 3. Pre-order bonuses for WWE 2K16 have been announced and one will allow you to play as the Terminator in WWE 2K16 for some reason It's that time of year again were we get another WWE title in the way of WWE 2K16. At least we are getting there as the game releases on October 27th for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. News about the DOOM multiplayer beta and alpha have come out of QuakeCon 2015 as well as a few new looks at the gameplay for DOOM It would make sense that out of QuakeCon we would get some new information for DOOM wouldn't it? It is one of the larger showcasing of Bethesda's titles and we all know DOOM is going to try and make a huge splash when it finally launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hells, DOOM helped do wonders to get the pre-orders for Wolfenstein: The New Order to spike among those who were not willing to take a chance. The Walking Dead Escape Was Back At SDCC Giving All Of Us A Feel For What A Survival Horror Game Really Feels Like Another SDCC down and another fun run of The Walking Dead Escape to show us all how a survival horror kind of game could be like in the real world. If this is your first time reading about The Walking Dead Escape this would be the zombie obstacle course that has been set up out in San Diego's Petco Park for the fourth year running. Pun intended. The quick breakdown, if you don't want to read our original write up, is that you get grouped together with a small group of other "Runners" and then set loose to get from one end of a set up obstacle course to the other all while a group of other paid participants dressed as the "Walkers" try to corner you and end your life.
