Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This was a rough week, personally, but at least we had a whole lot of video games to keep everything flowing. We had a few confirmations like Watch Dogs 2 and Injustice 2 coming for E3 next week and we also had some great updates to other titles like XCOM 2 and Call Of Cthulu. Watch Dogs 2 The full announcement of Watch Dogs 2 has taken place and we have all kinds of new and old information about Watch Dogs 2 to share out there Yet another game that had a lot of its thunder stolen by dick heads who wanted to claim "first," but we have the full announcement of Watch Dogs 2 along with some of the updates and changes to the game as well as the release date. Injustice 2 After many 'leaks' Injustice 2 has been officially announced and it looks like Injustice 2 is bringing a lot more than just more combat Even though some of the thunder was taken away for the announcement of Injustice 2 it is here and hitting just as hard as the "gods" we will get to place into the mix. XCOM 2 With the success of XCOM 2 on the PC platforms it looks like fans have finally been able to get XCOM 2 headed to the consoles this September We all wanted and demanded it and now it looks like Firaxis Games has given in and now we have XCOM 2 on its way to the major consoles as well. Of course they are not doing the work directly as 2K Games has brought on The Workshop to help usher the game over to the new platform but given their history that isn't a bad thing. Mafia 3 The Mafia 3 Collector’s Edition has been announced and also that Mafia 3 will be bringing back the Playboy collectibles in game Just like every other huge game out there it looks like Mafia 3 is also getting a Collector’s Edition and 2K Games was completely ready to bring us all of the details. Not only that but it looks like there is an extra bit that blends the physical and the digital that Hangar 13 has crafted for us in the way of Playboys. Mafia 3 Another Mafia 3 developer diary of sort has been released showing us just how Mafia 3's city has been brought to life We here it almost in every open world style of video game and it looks like Mafia 3 is joining the ranks of stating that the game's world is a living and breathing character of its own. It is not to shocking to me that Hangar 13 would make the same claims that we hear all the time as they have been working hard to make sure their version of New Orleans feels as authentic as it can for us. PAC-MAN Hit mobile game, PAC-MAN 256, is taking aim for consoles and PC next month and bringing multiplayer to PAC-MAN 256 exclusively for those platforms Legends never die and it looks even more the case now that PAC-MAN 256 is making the leap from mobile devices over to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam here on June 21st. For those not in the know this would be the version of the franchise that Hipster Whale and 3 Sprockets have put together for us all that has won quite a few awards. Plants Vs Zombies The next major update for Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 has been announced and it brings one of the largest maps to Plants Vs Zombies ever this Summer It looks like more trouble is on the way to Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 but thankfully it is the kind that we are all looking for. In this case it is in the form of another major content update from PopCap Games as we are getting a new map, characters, and a whole lot more. Dishonored 2 A new batch of screenshots of Dishonored 2 have been released a bit before the larger Dishonored 2 that is still slated for the E3 event Last we heard on Dishonored 2 was the release date of November 11th this year and that we would get to see the game in action during Bethesda's big E3 showcasing and most likely on the floor. As it looks though Arkane Studios didn't want us all to have to wait that long and we now have some new screenshots for the game. Mafia 3 More gameplay for Mafia 3 has popped up online and along with it comes some good explanation on how Mafia 3 is not an open world clone If what we've seen so far for Mafia 3 wasn't enough to get you interested in picking up the title then I don't know what is wrong with you. I'm sure Hangar 13 would feel about the same way given all of the insane advancements and changes to the franchise that look to make it truly new. Of course you have a lot of people out there stating that Mafia 3 is just another open world clone of games like GTA now but as some new gameplay and impressions would show those people may be just as wrong as the mafia was to kill Clay's crew. Mafia 3 A new trailer for Mafia 3 has been released and this one focuses more on the driving mechanics of Mafia 3 which the developer claim as more Hollywood Stunt Driver than anything If you were hoping that Mafia 3 was going to be deviating from its franchise's grounded history in driving then you might be a bit upset. For those like me then you may glad to see that Hangar 13 is deviating from the norm a little bit to give us a better cinematic feel when driving around New Bordeaux. Outlast 2 During PAX East a whole lot more on Outlast 2 was revealed, only to those who were overly active viewers, & now we all get to see what Outlast 2 holds During PAX East we had a good chunk of gameplay show up for Outlast 2 and we all rejoiced. It looked dark, terrifying, and showed how much care that Red Barrels had put into its development so far. As we all did though we tried to figure a few things out based on the gameplay for Outlast 2 but for those on the show floor or avid viewers of the Twitch streams there was a bit more in the mix. Dishonored 2 The release date for Dishonored 2 has been set for us all and it looks like E3 will hold the first true showing of Dishonored 2 and how it has progressed since announcement Just as Corvo has done in the past, the Dishonored 2 release date has just popped up out of seemingly nowhere. Details have been a little dry out of Arkane Studios and Bethesda on the title so far but they have now gone out and set a release date for us.
