Diablo III Announced!
by Robert [ Saturday, 28th of June 2008 - 09:56 PM ]
After a 7 year wait from the last Diablo, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Diablo 3 was announced today at Blizzards Worldwide Invitational. Hope for another Diablo 3 release was squashed repeatedly when Blizzard North, responsible for the Diablo franchise, lost top developers on June 30, 2003, and again on August 1, 2005 when Blizzard Entertainment announced the closure of Blizzard North. Subtle hints have kept the hope of Diablo fans alive; on Oct 23, 2006 Richard A. Knaak, a novel writer for the Diablo series, told BlizzPlanet "I ain’t writing for a dead game. Read More...

Meet some of your favorite people of all times. *cough*Hades*cough*. So here's the skinny. I love saying that. On the 25th, that's the Friday, Ed Boon and Jimmy Palmiotti will be holding a panel to show off the game. Claims of unseen game play and more of the character line up will be given out at this panel as well. Read More...

BREAKING A RECORD
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Saturday, 7th of June 2008 - 04:26 AM ]
What person hasn't thought about breaking a world record at least once in their lifetime? I remember as a kid - the Guinness books were the ones most often checked out at our schools library, so when the chance arose to finally be in the book itself, I was more excited than a fat kid in a cake factory (no offense to any of you fat kids ;p ). Every year thousands of people gather at the Dallas based anime convention, A-KON in a weekend that can only be described as PEACE, LOVE and POCKY. This year's convention though seemly the same, had one major difference - Guinness Book of World Records was there to witness our world-record breaking skills at work! Read More...

MGS4, GoW2, RE5...Oh My!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of May 2008 - 03:46 PM ]
Metal Gear Product Placement Trolling around the interwebs early today I stumbled upon some new shots from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid. First Videos yesterday. Today, some new images. Tomorrow...who knows? But I digest... These new images really are not anything special. Outside of the fact that it shows how the product placement is coming more into our epic "movie like" games. I knew it was only a matter of time. If you look at them, you will see them pimping an Energy drink, same from the Video. Read More...

Crafting Beautiful Stars
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of May 2008 - 08:05 PM ]
More Star Craft 2 News K, well not really news per say, but at least it is more video on how it is looking and shaping up. If they keep going on the rout it looks, my faith in Blizzard since the Activition buy out will be restored. The video of the game looks absolutely amazing and this is just a bunch of place holders for the Zerg and such. The intro where the human is armoring up looks almost to die for as well. One thing I liked to here is that it is going well and that they are keeping things that worked well in the past. Read More...

New TF2 achievements - Fair or Foe?
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Monday, 5th of May 2008 - 11:12 PM ]
With the upgrades to Medic and the introduction to the new achievement system in TF2 - The Medic has been the first class to receive the honor of earning achievements and upgrades. However, have the developers given the medic too much power? If you've been playing some TF2 lately, odds are you've noticed an increase in the amount of medics playing, players uber-charged and people just not dying. Although the new upgrades have helped to turn the game play up a notch - I've began to notice that like with many games, players have found a loop hole in the system and it seems practically impossibly to kill a freaking medic!  Double Uber - when two medic uber-charge themselves - is by far one of the most frustrating things I've come to witness. But in any instance, there is a little more buzz going around about this game and it's previously announced sequel. What is it? Well the fact that it won't be coming soon. Which could be ok. Brett Favre To Be On Cover of Madden NFL '09
by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 25th of April 2008 - 11:18 AM ]
Brett Favre announced at the end of his recent appearance on Letterman that he will be on the cover of Madden NFL '09, the franchise's 20th installment. Brett Favre is a 3 time MVP, a 7 time Pro Bowl selection and 2007's Sports Illustrated Sportsman Of The Year. Favre also lays claim to many NFL records, to include Career Passing Touchdowns (with 442) and Career Passing Yards (with 61,655). This is one of the NFL's greatest honors, but also one of the most cursed for active players as almost all the prior cover athletes have been injured or poor performances during the season they were on the cover. Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb, and Daunte Culpepper are among the few that had season ending injuries while featured on the cover of Madden. Read More...
