Be The Overlad!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of March 2009 - 05:12 PM ]
FIRST OVERLORD™II GAMEPLAY VIDEO Evil is as Evil does, or something like that. With Codemasters' new Overlord game coming this Summer, it looks like they are going to give us all the chance to put that age old adage to the test. At least it looks that way from the new Game Developers vlog that Codemasters just placed out there, with some fun looking screen shots from the game. All of which are below. They are quick to point out that they don't think that the first game allowed for you to be as evil as many wanted to be in the game, so they added a new system to the game to make that available. Valve Spanks "Bad" Servers
by Brian Bentley [ Sunday, 15th of March 2009 - 02:12 AM ]
Announced in the Team Fortress 2 blog, Valve has begun a process that will be de-listing servers they deem as "bad."  Using number of connections and player time on the server as the main factors in judgment, they calculated a score for each server and those servers in a certain block (my guess is a percentage), were removed from the master server listing system.  Password-protected and low-use (less than 200 connections) servers were excluded from the search and destroy mission.Once again Valve is making owning one of their software titles a treat and a vacation from released garbage put on shelves only to remove $50 or $60 from your pocket. Killzone 2 Review [PS3]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of March 2009 - 06:18 PM ]
A Review of Killzone 2 For The PS3 While technically the third in the series, as it follows after the events of the first Killzone and then the PSP game Killzone: Liberation, we'll still go with it being a sequel. And like a sequel, there are some massive improvements to the game from the first. Not only graphically, but in functionality as well as storytelling aspects. Let me explain each in their own section so you can have a good idea of how each played in. The Good: The graphics of this game are stunning. Read More...

"There's Something In The Sea"
by Sam [ Saturday, 7th of March 2009 - 12:02 AM ]
Take-Two has just released a teaser website for Bioshock 2: Sea or Dreams and are going around town putting up weird posters on the streets to advertise the website, which can be found here.Picture provided by Kotaku reader Dominique:Though the site is new, there isn't much too see on there. You can see a picture of the big daddy doll that was shown in the first teaser trailer of the game, a picture of an "average mens shoe" on the beach and local newspaper articles such as one from February 20th, 1967 titled "LOCAL GIRL VANISHES IN MYSTERIOUS ATTACK" which should give some kind of hint about what to expect in the upcoming game.Still more updates to come. Hopefully we'll get an insight of what to expect in the game or maybe some actual gameplay soon. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of March 2009 - 06:53 PM ]
View Of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel For those of you who are psyched for the new Action RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, then you are in for some fun little eye candy. Just released are some screen shots and a new trailer for the game. Of curse they are below for you to ogle and make feel dirty like your next door neighbor who just happened to walk by their window naked and caught you staring with a telescope. What does look interesting though is the new engine that they use for the game. Some might not think that it is, but look at it. Read More...

Looking Undisputed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of February 2009 - 09:30 PM ]
UFC 2009 Undisputed Footage Attention UFC fans, it looks like THQ is getting a great game wrapped up for you to dish out your own fantasy fights within the UFC. Just to show it off, THQ let a bunch more screen shots flow out to tantalize us all as well as a "mock" fight video between two of the fighters from the game. Complete with a not so drunken Joe Rogan giving his thoughts on how the fight is playing out and advantages one fighter has over the other. Kind of a fun little thing to show off the power of this new game. Read More...

by Kevin [ Thursday, 26th of February 2009 - 02:09 PM ]
Acclaim developer David Perry has recently gained some attention for some comments he made concerning the next version the PSP. Kotaku reported that after speaking with Perry that a UMD free PSP is both real and forthcoming. "I spoke to a developer who is working on it right now," he said to the news outlet. "I know this developer is already working on it, so that means they have a prototype. That would sound like a fall release to me. Read More...

by Sam [ Thursday, 26th of February 2009 - 05:07 AM ]
For the first 14 days of March, Sony is giving one lucky winner each day a huge StA52 Assault Rifle from Killzone 2. The catch is real easy, all you have to do is play Killzone 2. Sony will be browsing around on the leader boards each day and picking winners in both single player and multiplayer game modes. Like the Gears of War 2 assault rile, these too won't be sold in stores, so they should be worth something. Read More...

Lost Sneak Attack
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of February 2009 - 07:30 PM ]
Lost Planet 2 Announced Yes, in my opinion it was a sneak attack by Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi. Don't believe me, then check out the small blurb sent out from Capcom in their most recent press release about Street Fighter IV selling 2 million + copies. That and it was kind of on the sly released onto XBox Live. Secondly, a hot tip: fire up your Xbox to get a sneak preview of a brand new Capcom title. In an industry-first, we've announced a new game through the Xbox LIVE service, complete with an introductory video from the producer and director. Read More...

It Was Late For An Important Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of February 2009 - 04:24 PM ]
EA and Spicy Horse Return to Wonderland for All-New Alice Title Yes, you read that title right, if you read it that is. EA and Spicy Horse are working on a new Alice game to follow up the awesomeness of the 2000 game of the same title. Alice for those that got confused with the round about talk there. Little else has been brought up about this title other than just the announcement and how excited American McGee is to be working on a follow up to the twisted view of Alice in Wonderland. Well outside of the announcement that it will be produced for PCs, PS3s, and XBoxes instead of just PCs like the first go around. Read More...
