Team Fortress 2 Scout Update Coming Next Week
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 18th of February 2009 - 03:06 PM ]
Yesterday, Valve began the unveiling process on their new Team Fortress 2 update adding new achievement weapons.  This time to the Scout class.  Quick and wiry, the scout is listed as an offensive class, but as anyone who has put time in the trenches will tell you, the scout can also be a formidable defense class.  With the new site in place, Valve plans to release a bit of new information each day.  For day 1, they released information on the new weapon to replace the bat, called The Sandman. Get Yo' Killzone 2 On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2009 - 05:00 PM ]
This Week in Killzone 2 (and more demo codes) There have been many ways for people to gain access to the Killzone 2 demo before the game actually comes out in about 10 days, from now. Most recently one could have hunted down one of the only Helghast avatars in PlayStation Home and request one from them. Apparently something that was difficult for a bunch of people on the PlayStation Blog. But outside of that or pre-ordering the game, like one should, Sony is hooking everyone up again with a chance. FEAR 2 Review
by Ben Brody [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2009 - 02:28 AM ]
What's scarier than a little 7 year old girl just absolutely tearing people apart? Nothing, that's what. FEAR 2, the true sequel to FEAR, comes to us from Monolith and is hands down one of the scariest games ever. Dead Space, Silent Hill, and Condemned are given a run for their money with Alma, the girl previously mentioned. The game starts out about 30 minutes prior to the ending of the first game and puts you in the shoes of Sgt. Michael Becket, a Delta Force member who was mentioned in the first game as apart of a team assigned to bring Genevieve Aristide and put her into protective custody, which is the first mission of the game. Epic Considering Rank Change for Gears 2
by Sam [ Sunday, 8th of February 2009 - 07:55 PM ]
Epics Rod Fergusson made a post in the Gears of War 2 forums about a "proposed rank change", hopefully making the rank system more experienced based whenever a third update comes out. Fergusson writes ""What if, instead of skill rank, we instead showed your experience level." And over at Kotaku explains how it would work:• Experience would be acquired through individual performance in public mutliplayer. The experience would be balanced according to game times, so you couldn't level faster on the respawning game types. • Levelling would not be a fixed amount for each level, but a progressively higher amount for successive levels, ("like a typical RPG. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of February 2009 - 10:16 PM ]
Download the Resistance 2 Cover of Your Choice Just before Resistance 2 came out, Sony had a small vote on their official Blog to see which cover art would be used for Resistance 2. The final retail version of course is the one that won. But what about those people who really wanted one of the other covers for their game? Why won't people think about them? Oh wait, Sony just did. Read More...

Dark Void Game Play Videos Not much to really report on here. The short and skinny of it is that Capcom has brought out some more game play videos for their new Sci-Fi Action-Adventure game. All of which are videos that got glanced over by all the other big things that Capcom was bringing out at CES. But what kind of a news guy would I be if I let something like this fall to the curbside. So with no further gilding the lilly, such a great phase, I will give you some more footage of Dark Void. We cover everything from the lack of a real gaming section at the show to some of the cool little things I saw. Check it out. Read More...
