E3 Impressions of APB (All Points Bulletin)
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 3rd of June 2009 - 09:09 PM ]
APB, which stands for All Points Bulletin, is the upcoming Persistent Online Game from developer Realtime Worlds. It is a game in which players enter cities as one of two sides, an enforcer or a criminal. With up to 100 people per city, the two sides, as well as various gangs, are in a constant conflict. APB strives to make the gameplay more player driven, than game driven as with most Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games. They like to consider it as a Dynamic Action Based game, not an MMO or a Role-Playing Game (RPG). Read More...

Aggrogamer E3 Recap for June 2nd
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 3rd of June 2009 - 03:58 PM ]
So day 2 has come and gone for E3 and it was a day ranging from dull to exciting. We saw what Nintendo had to offer, as well as Sony, and finally got to hit the showroom floor to start looking at all the titles. First we all had the chance to attend the Nintendo press conference and they showed off mostly what we've come to expect, which is plenty of casual games aimed towards a broader audience. Which is exactly why the slogan this year was "Everybody's Game". With titles like Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort, Style Savvy, and James Patterson's Women's Murder Club: Games Of Passion, it is easy to see that they are truly trying to reach every demographic. Mini Ninjas at E3
by Corey Dockendorf [ Saturday, 30th of May 2009 - 12:21 AM ]
To say that I am excited about Eidos' new game Mini Ninjas is an understatement. I think I'm going to get some smoke bombs and adorn my office in samurai swords and kendo armor. One of the games that Eidos' will be debuting as a playable version at E3 is this little gem. Mini Ninjas is the story of a tiny ninja, named Hiro, and his big adventure against an evil warlord, and his quest to save the animals that have been changed into evil samurai, bringing harmony back to the world. From the screen shots it looks like you will be able to navigate through three different characters as well as take control of different animals. There are a few trailers with some game play as well as story and characters on the website. Read More...

Ghostly Multiplayer Madness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 11:04 PM ]
Ghostbusters Game Trailer It makes total sense for this game to have a multiplayer aspect to it. Albeit, limited to four people multiplayer, but multiplayer none the less. What fun would it be if you could only have one of the Busters active by a player at a time? Especially with the others possibly being run by an AI that could be poor. Don't need another Sheva incident, if you know what I mean. The below video shows off all the fun madness of the multiplayer, as well as some of the new weapons and enemies for the Ghostbusters world. Read More...

Doki Majo Plus Sees Gameplay Upgrades
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 9th of May 2009 - 03:30 PM ]
Less than a month ago, it was announced that the SNK Witch Touching series, Doki Doki Majo Shinpan would be getting a new title this summer (Read the article here). The new title Doki Majo Plus, which will be set on an island beach during summer break, has finally released new screens. With the new screens, comes news of more mini-games this time around. No clear specifics on what the mini-games will consist of, but be sure they will add more variety to the game than just battles and witch checking.  Battles will be getting an upgrade with a new powerful technique that won't require the user to use their magic. Wii and DSi DLC for the Week of 5/4
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 6th of May 2009 - 03:52 AM ]
Another week means new downloadable releases on Wii and DSi.  This ultimately indicates another first party cash-in for Nintendo.  A rumor I had heard and spoke out about on Total Meltdown, Episode 26, that Nintendo would use their first party mascots/characters to sell little applications on the DSi has come to fruition.A pair of applications are new to the DSi Ware shop.  Featuring the Animal Crossing license and each costing 200 DSi Ware points, Nintendo released a calculator and a clock. Can You Feel The Fear?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2009 - 12:17 AM ]
Feel Game Trailer A while back there was some buzz about a game based on the horror film The Grudge. It was quite a while back, and it was mainly the people that brought the film to you were working on a game, but the internet buzz twisted it one way and went with it. As the mass majority of internet users are want to do. What else would we expect from the crazy people on the internet and their pornography clouded minds? Well for once, at least from looking at this video for a game called Feel, they were more on par with what was going on than normally given credit to those crack pots. Read More...

Another Evil Blast From The Past
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2009 - 05:39 AM ]
Resident Evil: Archives I said it a long while back that this year was going to be the year of Resident Evil. Not that it would dominate the market and be game of the year. But that there was going to be a cornucopia of Resident Evil titles out for consoles this year. Although it would seem that more of them will be on the Wii over the other consoles out there. Count is 1 to 1 to 2 now. XBox, PlayStation and Wii respectfully. Read More...

Almost Died From Memory
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2009 - 05:21 PM ]
More Dead Space Extraction Screens Just when the buzz started to die down about this Wii Rail Shooter, Dead Space: Extraction, EA throws a few more screen shots out at us. Not the best way to generate that buzz back up about the game, but it is a good way to keep the slight vibrations of it going just a little bit longer until the big pay off. I know where all of your minds just went with that last sentence there. Don't deny. Read More...

Alright, Enough Already
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2009 - 04:29 PM ]
More Wii Accessories Well it looks like the Wii is now creating it's very own fitness facilities right in your home. I understand the popularity of the Wii Fit, I mean its innovative, it's new, it's healthy, but really these items will be put in a closet or stashed somewhere after a few months of boredom if more games cannot be used with them. First up is the WiiDum, 1.7lb weights that cradles the controller ever so softly. Read More...

Doki Majo Plus Equals More Witch Touching Fun
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 15th of April 2009 - 01:16 PM ]
As Japanese import game fans know, the Doki Doki Majo Shinpan series was a bold new step in eroge games on the DS. SNK created the series and urged gamers to utilize the stylus to rub, poke, touch, kiss or wink at potential witches to reveal their "Witch mark". It's no wonder to anyone why this series has never seen the light of day outside of Japan. This summer SNK is bringing out a brand new adventure for the Doki Doki series, titled Doki Majo Plus. This side story brings back the cast of the original game as they are on vacation at an island getaway. Read More...

Wii and DSi DLC for the Week of 4/13
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 15th of April 2009 - 12:09 PM ]
Sorry it’s been a couple of weeks, folks, but once again, I’m bringing Nintendo’s weekly DLC into the spotlight.  This week, the big N drops two titles into the DSi Shop, one into Wii Ware and one into the Virtual Console.  Everyone has good weeks and bad weeks and Nintendo is different with this week’s lineup. The “Telephone” clone is impressive in that the title can support up to 21 people online, but 500 points seems a bit pricey for a slightly improved version of Picto-chat.  The Master of Illusion Express: Shuffle Games title is a great idea, for a demo.
