It is in and it makes Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City look like a load of fun. The trailer also makes all of the screen shots look like there were originally working it out for the Wii. Granted, there are a lot of pre-rendered scenes in the trailer, but if you look fast, you can see the game play mixed in. From the looks of it, it looks to take RE: Outbreak and do what was originally intended for those games. Fast action and a bit of sneaking with a sprinkle of Zombies and B. Read More...

You've dedicated your gaming life to Gears Of War, isn't it time to see how much dedication Epic Games is giving to Gears Of War 3? It would be nice to see that they are giving at least a small portion of the same dedication and love. Some of you out there have permanently altered your flesh for the game and franchise, something that I have yet to publicly see from any of their staff. Well below you will see the dedication that the team is giving you. Not to mention a good deal more of the game play and details abound for the multiplayer. Read More...

Doesn't it bug you in games when non-supernatural heroes or villains can fall from hundreds of feet and survive without rhyme or reason? Or for that matter, falling 20 feet almost kills them out right. It is a mix between realism and game play that designers have to take into account. Do you forgo realism in a major way for game play sake or do you try to fake it? Mix in the ability to portal hundreds of feet into the air, sometimes on accident, and now you have a real issue. But it looks like minds behind Portal 2 have the solution. Read More...

The wait is finally over. The first episode of the Mortal Kombat web series is finally out for all of us fans and webiphiles to enjoy. The video is below, so I'll put the rest of my words after that. I know you're just going to jump down and press play anyways. That small clip from before makes so much more sense. The creep factor from the very first "viral video" is a bit lost here, but then again this is just the lead up. I am sure that as it continues it will get darker and creepier, but not so much right now. Read More...

It only took a little under a year, but we now have a release date and a pretty awesome trailer for Twisted Metal. All I have to say right off the bat; WELL WORTH THE WAIT. At least worth the wait for the trailer as we still have to wait until October 4th for the game. But at least we get to have the fun media frenzy to look forward to and most likely a few demos at conventions and on the PSN. The trailer doesn't show all too much of the game but a few scenes from the live action films and slight game play but at least we have been promised some more info here this week. What this could be is anyone's guess, but I'm sure it will be only the start of the forth coming avalanche of info and visuals. Read More...

The time is almost here. The time for that awesome live action Mortal Kombat web show to hit the net. Obviously that also means that it is time to tease it a little bit before. Here is said tease. Ok, so nothing as awesome as the first short, but I am sure it will fit in well somehow. I mean with the huge splash that the first video made it would be ludicrous to try to slop out some crap afterwards. At least it is a look at Kano and Jax, although we got a basic look already of Jax. Read More...

Recently I had a conversation with a few people on movie tie-in games and if they could ever be any good. As was to be expected, the conclusion was generally not likely. There have been so many crappy movie tie-in games put out there, most of which to suck more money out of the consumer. But every now and then there are a few that are not just utter crap. For me, they are usually the games that are not rushed to meet a film's release date and TRULY expand on the overall story of the film. To put it short so I can move onto the Green Lantern stuff, I've only really enjoyed the games for the Saw franchise. Read More...

It wouldn't be Mortal Kombat without Shang Tsung. We all know he is in the game, but wouldn't you like to see/hear his story in this outing? How different can it be from all of the older titles? I mean, seriously. Well let's see what has been cooked up for him in the new Mortal Kombat. Ok… So nothing all that new as far as the story goes. Although I do have to say that the Fatality shown is pretty fucking cool. I want to make people knowingly pull their own heads off and be powerless to stop it. Read More...

There is nothing like see the dirty underbelly of the streets and police force. It totally gives me the warm and fuzzy feeling in my belly. For once, one of the trailers for L.A. Noire has actually been able to get me to lose some doubt. Well, at least the doubt in how the audio mixes in with the visuals. As I have said before, to me the audio seems just way too high quality when mixed in. Not that either the visuals and audio are bad, but they just didn't seem to meld well. Read More...

So we heard a little about this a few months ago. A new survival horror on the PSN called Amy. There have been a few screens thrown up for our approval, but then there has been nothing much. This is odd seeing as VectorCell Studios and Lexis Numérique are aiming for a June 2011 release. You'd think we would have more, which ends the lead in here. Today we are given just a bit more on AMY, a game that seems to be all about one of the things that are despised in Survival Horror games; escort missions. Yep, the overview of the story and game play make it seem to be 90% escort mission and the other 10% a mix of everything else. Read More...

A few months ago I brought you a look at Inversion, Namco's upcoming game that give you use over the fundamental forces of gravity. There was a teaser. There were a few screen shots. There was even a Feb 7th 2012 date given for the game. Fun stuff… Looks like the early promotions are continuing, only this time it has nothing really all that new for the game. Maybe a bit of what is going on with the story, but even that can't be fully seen here. It's like the beginning of Heroes then moves into some crazy Cloverfield shots. Read More...

It is official. Mortal Kombat has gone gold. We no longer have to worry about major delays or cancelations. Not that we were at all. It is no Duke Nukem Forever or anything. Am I right? Huh? Huh…? Now as we wait for April 19th to slowly work its way to us, we get to pass the time looking at screens and videos. That is if you have played the demo to death since it came out. If you did, below we have a few more screens to add to the mix as we wait a few more weeks. Read More...

If you missed the announcement of Spider-Man: Edge Of Time and/or couldn't catch all the goodness shown and spoken of at WonderCon, then are you in for a treat. Those of you who heard the announcement are also in for a treat as we have the first trailer and screens below. It really does have that Shattered Dimensions feel to it doesn't it? I guess it would be easy to just reuse a bunch of the stuff Beenox has already made and just change the story. No reason to remake everything that already worked right? Read More...

It has been a bit since we've had some good and solid updates for F.3.A.R. I guess it is time to get another look and a story trailer. Thank you Warner Bros. and Day 1 Studios for giving us just that. STORY TIME! Looks like someone has some serious "mommy issues." Not to mention that they look to have lead to some even deeper and twisted results besides becoming a man-whore. That's what happens isn't it? Like the opposite of a girl having "daddy issues? So here we go with the third "episode" of game play trailers for Battlefield 3. This time it would seem a basic "disarm a bomb" task goes a little awry and turns into an all out shoot and destroy everything mission. Who would have thought that following a wire into an enemy "hideout" would turn into such madness and violence? I do have to say that out of all of these clips, this one impresses me the most with visuals. The immersion factor, even for just being a video, was cranked up because of the lighting and textures of the vents and underground room. Read More...
