New gameplay for Evolve has been released showing off how the game will handle when you are offline and playing solo If for some reason you want to play Evolve only in solo mode then you will love the new video that Turtle Rock has for us. We have two good matches played from both sides of the fight in Evolve all in solo mode. Yes, you can play as only the Monster or you can play as the hunters all in offline solo mode. That of course is nothing new as it has been drilled in but with all the amazing online modes, gameplay, and betas for the online mode we all might have forgotten that. Read More...

Hatred is now available for pre-order as well as has some new gameplay for you all to hate on again Hate it or not, Hatred is getting released as an AO title for PC and there seems to be no stopping it. I see this as a good thing but the whole "Hatred debate" bullshit has been done to death and I wish the main character could show up and perform a finishing move on it. We all hopefully get it by now. Games want Hatred to be made. Read More...

The first developer diary for Battlefield Hardline has been released at it shows all of the care that Visceral Games took to make it the best yet I have been impressed with what I have seen for Battlefield Hardline up until now. It really looks like a next gen title as well as a welcomed, at least by me, deviation from the standard warfare title that Battlefield has almost always been. Of course we have Visceral Games to thank for that as they are the ones finally helming a full version of a Battlefield title with Battlefield Hardline and not some DLC add-on. The better question though is what have they done to get the game to where it is right now. Read More...

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is being released for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android as well as looks like the big tease that Quantic Dream and Aspyr had for us Remember last week when we brought up the tease that Quantic Dream had for us for this week? Well it turns out my second thought on what was being teased was pretty much spot on as we have Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered coming out tomorrow (1/29/15) for PC, Linux, Mac, and iOS with an Android version to follow sometime soon. So I guess it is much less a tease than it is an announcement with extremely little lead in time for anyone out there to clear out their backlog a bit to give Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered a solid play through. I guess all of the fans of the franchise won't care about something like that though and will just throw their $9. Read More...

Night Cry, the official name for Project Scissors and spiritual successor for Clock Tower, has a short film and is looking for funding now So we have a new short film for Night Cry, the official name for Project Scissors and spiritual successor for Clock Tower, and while it may not give us much of anything for the game it will most likely be one of the more bizarre things you see today. This game is coming from Hifumi Kono, creator of the Clock Tower game series, and Takashi Shimizu, director of The Grudge so we really shouldn't be expecting anything less right? These guys do have some rabid fans out there after all. Read More...

What looks to be the first 20 minutes of Life Is Strange has been released online so we can all get basic judgments out of the way Life Is Strange is only a few days out from launch so it isn't too strange that there is already gameplay footage for the game floating out there. Seeing as Square Enix and Dontnod haven't busted their asses to have it taken down from YouTube yet I think they are fairly okay with the fact that the first 22 minutes of the game can be viewed now. Just in case 22 minutes of Life Is Strange isn't enough and all. More than that would just be downright ludicrous and would require the whole servers to be taken down so as to not ruin any part of the game, or at least the first episode, before January 30th. Reptile has been confirmed for Mortal Kombat X now and we have a nice little trailer showing off the lizard kombatant melting faces We have the first of two new characters for Mortal Kombat X to be revealed this week and it is Reptile. Yet another character that you would have been a no-brainer for NetherRealm to add into the Mortal Kombat X mix and now we have it confirmed. Not only confirmed but a bit in motion and showing off some great new moves as well as a literal face melting opening for a fatality. Why we only get the opening for these fatalities is still a little bit of a mystery for me but I'd assume that it is to try and keep 1. Read More...

A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games The weekend is finally here and for those not at PAX South it is time to hunker down and play those sweet video games that we've been talking about all week. Or at least dig into those backlogs. I know I still have a huge backlog but Gat Out Of Hell and Saints Row IV are taking up a good chunk of that time. I need to get those whittled down so I can at least only have them in the background while I get ready to focus on titles like Dying Light and Life Is Strange. Hells, even Evolve though that is still a few more weeks away. Read More...

The second developer diary for Life Is Strange is out and shows off Max's rewind ability we will use in the game Life Is Strange is not too far off from having its first episode hit our homes. I feel like I have said that a lot this week. One of the things that I know I've been curious on for the game has been the rewind mechanic that we will all get to employ in the game. This is kind of one of the core things and builds off one of the best mechanics in Dontnod's previous title Remember Me. It was used to remix memories there and in Life Is Strange it looks like it is there to help us remix and alter the timeline. Read More...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is having a preview event for press but those not lucky to be considered can have a bit of gameplay to view for now Brace yourself as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is having a huge preview hands-on event and we will be flooded with "hands-on" stories from all of the outlets that Warner Bros. and CD Projekt RED have deemed worthy of attending said event. Normally this kind of thing is neither publicized nor widespread as they all like to keep the rush for view clicks a nice fair race but what we going to do? Read More...

Dying Light Developers, Techland, take to playing the game in co-op mode to show us what we can expect from the game here next week With Dying Light only a few days out from launch now, at least here in North America, it is high time for the excitement to pique here. It's another zombie game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC so why shouldn't we be all excited? I think… Anyways, one of the modes that have been announced and barely shown off has been the co-op for Dying Light. To try and remedy all of that Techland took to their PCs and put together a nice little video showing off the "fun" we will be having when we go co-op with Dying Light next week. Read More...
