The Climb A new developer diary for The Climb has been released and it shows off some of the ways that the developer is trying to make The Climb the most realistic climbing sim to date A few months back we first caught wind of The Climb as it began its development cycle. This would be the new rock climbing simulator that Crytek is working on to give us all a nice new experience to have with the Oculus Rift. For the most part The Climb sounds just like the title makes the game sound. Homefront An online co-op mode for Homefront: The Revolution has been shown off and the first details of Homefront's new missions based co-op mode have also surfaced with it Our first look at Homefront: The Revolution's online co-op mode called "Resistance Mode" has finally come. It isn't a huge shock that Dambuster Studios was going to add a multiplayer mode into Homefront here but now we have a nice little look at how some of the 12 missions for the game will play out. That of course being 12 missions just for the online co-op as the full version of Homefront: The Revolution hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 17th is slated to hold a massive 30 hours of solo gameplay to be enjoyed. Mortal Kombat X During the most recent Kombat Kast for Mortal Kombat X we were able to see one of the new characters for Mortal Kombat X in action and it looks like something extra is hidden in It is no huge surprise that during the ESL Pro League finals that we got a look at one of the new characters for Mortal Kombat X coming in the new DLC. Minecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story Mode is finally making the leap to the Wii U so now Nintendo fans will be able to enjoy Minecraft: Story Mode in all of its glory It looks like we have yet another platform to the mix for Minecraft: Story Mode as the game is making the leap to the Wii U now. It looks like Telltale Games was done with losing out on dominating all of the platforms out there for the Mojang franchise and not Minecraft: Story Mode is landing on January 21st in terms of the first episode. Mortal Kombat X A new gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack 2 has been released to show off a bit on all of the new Mortal Kombat X characters coming in this upcoming DLC The tease and reveal for Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack 2 characters has come and gone a while ago. Thankfully the time gap hasn't been too great before NetherRealm Studios gave a nice look at each of the new Mortal Kombat X characters in action. Granted it isn't anything like we have seen in previous Kombat Kasts from the past but it is a nice showing of what we can expect in Mortal Kombat X from Alien, Leatherface, Triborg, and Bo’ Rai Cho when the DLC lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime this year. Oculus While at CES 2016 I was able to play with the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch in a more intimate setting than just a video. Here's my take on the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch Obviously one of the big items around CES 2016 was the Oculus Rift; especially since it went up for pre-order and all of the new details cropped up just at the beginning of the show. That of course led to a whole lot of debate on if the Oculus Rift was going to be worth the $600 price tag out the door or if it was going to be another overpriced gizmo with a lot of buyer's remorse. This led me to take over the job of checking out the hardware of the Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers to see if the price point made sense for where the system is now or if, like I said, it was something that could be left behind. Here's My Take On Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood It was only announced a few months ago but Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood was one of the huge titles on display at CES 2016 in Sony's VR section of their booth. PlayStation didn't have a huge section this year but this Supermassive Games spin off from the main title was one of the bigger things for the PS4 and PlayStation VR here. At least if the pre-order card for the game at Target is correct and Dambuster Studios is about to wrap up their development cycle on the game. Oculus Rift The pre-orders for the Oculus Rift are up and running and it looks like we will be getting an Oculus Rift in home by the end of March or early April The wait is now over for the Oculus Rift…to some extent. Pre-orders are now live over on their site and we now have a price and an expected release window for this year. That would be sometime around the end of March or early April depending on who you hear from. As of this writing mine is stating that it will ship in April of 2016 but I have seen others claim sometime in March. Read More...
