Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week of video games in the bag and there was still so much we didn't get to. Even with it only being SDCC and Animazement being the big conventions that just happened there seems to still be a whole lot of new information and updates out there. More so with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Agents Of Mayhem, and Observer all just about to release next week and massive info dumps for all of those video games adding on to all of the other things. Shadow Of War Two new trailers for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War are here fresh from SDCC and give us a feel for two more of Shadow Of War's characters This year's SDCC may be over, but that doesn't stop all of the videos and updates we had out there from flowing out and here we go with two more for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War. Yes, two more and two more characters that will be coming to life from Monolith Productions here to make the game's story richer and in some cases a little more lighthearted. Injustice 2 The first gameplay look for Injustice 2's Starfire has landed and it looks like more Injustice 2 premiere skins are on the way too Just as we all assumed, during SDCC this year we had another character for Injustice 2 shown off. Not a completely new character in terms of announcement, but we did get to finally see NetherRealm Studios' version of Starfire for the game in action and assumed to be released during August as part of the first Fighter Pack. While it would have been awesome to get solid word on the other characters coming to Injustice 2 in the coming months while out there, it is nice to see that they are working hard on bringing us what has already been announced out there. Shadow Of War It's time to hear who will be joining you on Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's quest, aurally, & then maybe meet the Shadow Of War VO cast at SDCC We can mark this under the "Not A Huge Surprise" list, but Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War will be at SDCC this year and in tow will also be the voice cast for the game that has recently been announced. Of course some of the people from Monolith Productions will also be there to talk about the game, but given the way SDCC is, it will be more about the big names linked to the game and seeing them. Injustice 2 Gameplay for Injustice 2's Sub Zero has been revealed and now we can see what he will be bringing to Injustice 2 this week New DLC for Injustice 2 drops this week as we get to add Sub Zero into the fighting mix of this DC hero and villain fighting game. Of course, this is not a huge surprise as NetherRealm Studios has already announced him and we all figured it was coming given Scorpion and the first Injustice title. That and we had a small tease for the character last week as we had our first look at him in Injustice 2, but now we have a whole lot of gameplay to look at and figure him out. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That ends another week in video games out here and even with the slowdown due to the American holiday, it was still a pretty decent one out there. Not overflowing with news and updates, but still just enough out there to keep things flowing. I mean it was more about the updates for Horizon Zero Dawn and Shadow Of Mordor, but other video games like Assassin’s Creed Origins had quite a bit of highlight and we learned about the physical version of LawBreakers that hopefully you picked up on the PC or are waiting for the PS4 version to open up. Shadow Of War A new update for Shadow Of Mordor has released that will carry over Nemesis & Followers to Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War If you had planned on getting to start completely new for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War, then you were right to think that as before now it didn't seem like there was going to be much of a bridge besides story for this title and Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor. For most gamers this is still an option, but for those who had some great nemesis and followers from the first game it looks like Monolith Productions is going to give us the option to carry over the best of each when we spin up the new game on October 10th. Yea, you will be able to start Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War off with your best follower from before at your side fighting the good fight, while needing to be on the lookout for your greatest nemesis whom may be trying to end out their story arc. Call Of Duty The third DLC pack for Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be hitting the PS4 next week with all the usual Call Of Duty goodies mixed right in Not get all of the Call Of Duty titles all mixed up here, but the third major DLC for Infinite Warfare is about to drop on the PS4 so it is time to take note and not confuse this with any future DLC. None of that makes sense to me either. The takeaway here is that the most recent Call Of Duty title that Infinity Ward made for us last year will be getting its third major DLC drop as part of the Season Pass so get ready to dive into that and forget about the WWII one that Activision is also pushing at the same time. God Of War New screenshots for God Of War are out there as well as a fun look at how the new looks for God Of War came about from the previous titles With only two trailers for God Of War being out there currently, the game has already looked to take an interesting turn for the franchise and the character involved. Given the drastic nature of the shift, and the way all those internet fans are, it is no surprise that Santa Monica Studio has been harped on for having a different type of Kratos in the game. I know a lot of people saw the woodsman beard in the first God Of War trailer and gameplay we had and though he was going to be even more grizzled after the ending of the third main game. Injustice 2 There is now a release date for Injustice 2's Sub Zero DLC and we have a small look at him in action for Injustice 2 in case you were wondering It looks like the DLC fighters for Injustice 2 are going to be rolling out here in a pretty quick order as we just had Red Hood release about a month after the initial release of the game and now we have word on when the next fighter will be joining in. This isn't a completely new fighter mind you but another from the NetherRealm Studios vault brought to us just for this game. He's already been announced, but now we know that Sub Zero will be coming to Injustice 2 on the PS4 and Xbox One on July 11th. Read More...

God Of War Another gameplay trailer for God Of War has been released and it also tells us God Of War will officially release in 2018 It's been almost a year since last we had anything solid to go on for God Of War as the last official showing was during the media briefing and E3 of 2016. I know there was a lot of hope that Santa Monica Studio would have had the game hitting the PS4 this year, but now it is confirmed that 2018 will be the year that Kratos is back and slaying all of the mythological beasts of Norse mythology. It is a wait, but given that this is the reboot that God Of War should be getting here, I'll wait the time to make sure we get another great experience out of it all. It would seem a bit of a waste if it was just Kratos going at all of these new gods for no other reason than they are gods and such. Read More...
