Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That puts a final wrap on this week and all of the video games we had to look at and get excited for here. On top of the big review we had for Circus Electrique, we also had D23 and a whole lot of other updates for various titles out there. Cyberpunk 2077 has some new DLC on the way, God Of War: Ragnarök showed off the new realms we will be able to explore, and Evil Dead: The Game expanded itself just a bit more to keep us all busy this weekend with so many video games out there. God Of War Another realm for God Of War: Ragnarök is finally here with the lands of the Dwarves putting the God Of War to new challenges We have been told that we will be able to go to all of the realms in God Of War: Ragnarök after having a few limited or just blocked out in the last title. It totally worked for the story but it felt odd that Santa Monica Studio still left the options in the game with telling us a big "no" when trying to access them. Thankfully, when God Of War: Ragnarök launches on November 9th for the PS4 and PS5, we will get access to those new worlds out there and we have a small sample of one of those realms right now. Borderlands The Borderlands will be offering up some new and old characters to the mix for the New Tales From The Borderlands If Borderlands is known for anything, it is known for having some odd and over-the-top characters for us to experience out there in the world. Sometimes they can be a bit much and other times it feels like Gearbox Software just wants to punch us all in the feelings. That might be the plan for some reason, and it could be something hidden in the upcoming title. Hogwarts It is time to head back to Hogwarts and we are getting some fun new things to add into our version of Hogwarts Legacy It is that time of year where all of the Potterheads get together and celebrate everything about the IP, which means we have even more for Hogwarts Legacy to go into. We are still hoping for a closer release date than February 10th, but that seems to be locked in solid by Avalanche Software. Thankfully, what we are getting as of right now is a way to bring our own little bits into the world of Hogwarts Legacy. Not in a way of 3D scanning or anything, but through linking our Wizarding World accounts over to the game so we can get the unique elements from all of those quizzes to show up in our personal game. Hogwarts Legacy The Dark Arts are on display for Hogwarts Legacy as we gear up to pick up the Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition Things are starting to get a bit dark for Hogwarts Legacy here with the latest look that we have at the game out of Gamescom this year. It is a bit more of the game's story but also how Avalanche Software will be giving us some rough choices as we dive into the fun of it all. As long as Hogwarts Legacy is not delayed any further from the February 10th, 2023 release date we have for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. Borderlands Head back into the Borderlands with the official announcement for the New Tales From The Borderlands out of Gamescom Another of the worst kept secrets out of Gamescom is here with the official announcement for the New Tales From The Borderlands. The follow-up to the amazing title that Telltale did a long while ago, but with Gearbox Software behind the wheel to bring it to us. It will be interesting to see if they are able to bring us the same kind of gameplay experience we had in Tales From The Borderlands, but at least we all know it will be hardcore in on the lore and humor of it all. Gotham Knights New villains are here for Gotham Knights as we get ready for the new launch date we have to share for Gotham Knights We have had a few teases for Gotham Knights when it comes to the villains so far. We all knew Mr. Freeze and the Court of Owls were going to play a larger role in the game and give all of our heroes a bit of a headache. Now, out of Gamescom, WB Games Montréal has offered up a couple more villains from the long list that will be showing up to give the Gotham Knights a run for their money. Hogwarts Legacy The release date for Hogwarts Legacy is set again with February being the timeline we will get to experience the Hogwarts Legacy It looks like we are all one step closer to getting Hogwarts Legacy on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. There are still many steps we have to go through as we wait for Avalanche Software to wrap things up, but there is light at the end of the Hogwarts Express now. It looks like we can expect to have Hogwarts Legacy in our hands on February 10th of 2023 now. At least for all of the gamers out there not looking to experience the Wizarding World on their Switch. Gotham Knights The latest member for Gotham Knights is here to show off how you can use guns to save the day in Gotham Knights The fourth and final member of the Gotham Knights is here with a new showcasing of Red Hood in the game. He is definitely the more aggressive of the group with his hand-to-hand styles and guns, but WB Games Montréal is set up to make it all work. That and to make Gotham Knights all forms of exciting for us as October 25th is coming up on us all with a quickness. Sherlock Holmes Sherlock Holmes is coming back into action with a full remake for Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened Your brain is not fully breaking, yes, we are getting a whole new version of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened out here in 2023. It has been some amount of time and not everyone was expecting it from what Frogwares was teasing out there, but a full remake of the game from so long ago is heading to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC when it is ready. All rebuilt from the ground up to use what the developer has learned over the years with their Sherlock Holmes titles and the most recent Cthulhu title The Sinking City. Gotham Knights Batgirl was out in full force for Gotham Knights out at SDCC and we get a bit more of the gameplay to enjoy for Gotham Knights Obviously, out at SDCC this year, we had all kinds of heroes running around and so much news flooding into us for all forms of fandom. Gotham Knights was teased before and we had a massive drop out there with WB Games Montréal offering up a solid look at Batgirl in the mix of the game before October 25th when it hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Batgirl is not anything we did not know was coming, but now we have the showing of how she will be out there doing what Batman used to do. All along the way to earn her place in the Gotham Knights and become one of the saviors of Gotham and how she will make sure the legacy carries on after Knighthood. Read More...
