by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of March 2009 - 07:04 PM ]
A Cool Look At What Halo Wars Brings To The Story With Halo Wars releasing today, yes slackers it came out today, the minds behind the game and over all story decided to bring everyone a cool little look at the game from the story side of things. YES GAMES HAVE STORY! Mixed in are few other people who just have strong opinions on the Halo franchise, but for the most part they have a fun, good ol' time with this video discussing things that all Halo fanatics, on the story side, want to know. I was at the Comic Con panel for this and yes there are those people out there. One thing that I find pretty cool for the over all story was the fact that they bring out in the game how the Spartans where not originally suppose to be "space marines. Read More...

Halo Wars Review
by Ben Brody [ Monday, 2nd of March 2009 - 08:49 AM ]
NOTE: I am not a huge Halo player. I've played and beaten Halo: Combat Evolved, but I have not beaten Halo 2 or Halo 3 (even though I do own both, I have never played either extensively). So please be gentle if I have no idea what a bunch of stuff in Halo is.... mainly because I don't have any idea.... Also I did NOT get the mythic map pack with my review copy so please don't ask me how the mythic map pack was. Many of you are probably excited to play Ensemble Studios final game, Halo Wars. Wii DLC for the Week of 2/23
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 25th of February 2009 - 05:17 AM ]
Hinted at last week in their press release, Nintendo released three Commodore 64 games on the Virtual Console this past Monday.  While this is not necessarily news to our friends across the pond, this is a first for those of us in North America.  The 500 Wii Points per game seems a little steep to me, but it's Nintendo and heaven forbid they sell something for less then 500 Wii Points because who knows, perhaps people will begin expecting to purchase a game only paying what it is worth.  I have a lot of fond memories over at my friend, Jason's house playing Commodore 64, but unless they release Summer Games or Winter Games, that price point is too high for me.Besides the Virtual Console releases, Wii Ware also had one release. Screens Of Godliness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of February 2009 - 06:19 PM ]
More Screen Shots From God of War III With the big media event that happened recently for God of War III and the new extended trailer being launched, it would seem that Sony is ready to start the huge marketing scheme for this game. Which I will not complain about at all. Except that we will all have to wait until after this year's E3 show to get a up close and personal look at this game. They are going to be showing it off in all of it's glory there. But until then, we can all ogle Kratos and the game with the little things like the below screen shots. Read More...

Wii DLC for the Week of 2/16
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 19th of February 2009 - 02:15 AM ]
A little late is better than never.  The next batch of Wii DLC hit this past Monday with one Wii Ware title and one Virtual Console title.  There is a surprise wrapped up in the update this week if you're crafty enough to piece together the clues.  A good luck to all our super sleuths and to those who continue to have patience waiting for Earthbound to drop... Outer space meets inner space at the Wii Shop Channel this Presidents Day. A new WiiWare title will have you soaring across the astral plane, while a vintage NES shooter for the Virtual Console invites you to battle your way through the innards of an alien creature. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of February 2009 - 06:35 PM ]
New God Of War III Footage We have been tantalized and teased with small clips from God of War III in the past few months. To no end. Leaving fans drooling like hungry Cerberus for more. Well today, Sony has released some more game footage as well as information about the game. Still no release date given, but with what has been given, one can't be anything but excited. These two new videos aide quite well with this. The first is the extended, like 3 minutes extended trailer for the game. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of February 2009 - 04:46 PM ]
First Real God Of War III Details A little while back a cover shot of the new Game Informer magazine was 'leaked' onto the net. Well not really leaked, but more given to tease the big article in the magazine, God of War III. One of the more anticipated games in my opinion. No it is not a humble one. So you can guess it has been much waited for, the new Game Informer. Well someone has received their copy early and decided to post scans of it on line. Read More...

Hudson Releases Official Website for Onslaught
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 11th of February 2009 - 10:24 AM ]
Last week Hudson Entertainment released screen shots on Onslaught, hailed the first First Person Shooter on WiiWare. Now, they have finally pulled back the curtains on the official Onslaught online page. The new, flashier vehicle now provides more insight into the story, wiimote and nunchuk button layouts for both foot and vehicle movement, small weapons and vehicle layouts and some finer details on on-line play. Yes, folks I had to re-read the website myself, Hudson is promising on-line co-op and ranking system for up to 4 players. The “Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Free Battle” seems promising as you can play with friends from around the globe. Read More...

Wii DLC for the Week of 2/9
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 10th of February 2009 - 01:11 AM ]
It is Monday again, so time for Nintendo to continue their download strategy of not rushing too many titles to WiiWare or the Virtual Console. Thus giving you plenty of time to "clean your refrigerator" and make room for these two titles.  Nothing says gear up for Valentine's Day like a horror puzzle game and an old-school arcade shooter.  So, grab your Wii Points and let the love (or a hail of gunfire) into the air. No matter what you've got planned for Valentine's Day, the latest additions to the Wii Shop Channel have what it takes to get your heart pounding. Read More...

Epic Considering Rank Change for Gears 2
by Sam [ Sunday, 8th of February 2009 - 07:55 PM ]
Epics Rod Fergusson made a post in the Gears of War 2 forums about a "proposed rank change", hopefully making the rank system more experienced based whenever a third update comes out. Fergusson writes ""What if, instead of skill rank, we instead showed your experience level." And over at Kotaku explains how it would work:• Experience would be acquired through individual performance in public mutliplayer. The experience would be balanced according to game times, so you couldn't level faster on the respawning game types. • Levelling would not be a fixed amount for each level, but a progressively higher amount for successive levels, ("like a typical RPG.
