by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Rise Of The Tomb Raider A new trailer for Rise Of The Tomb Raider has been released and it looks like we are getting even more callbacks to Tomb Raider in this game Just in case you spaced on the fact that Rise Of The Tomb Raider is still coming to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 here on November 10th we have yet another trailer to look at as a reminder. Sadly it is also a reminder that it is going to be limited for about another year as we wait for Crystal Dynamics to be able to spread the Tomb Raider love when they can bring Rise Of The Tomb Raider to all other gamers out there. That and that since we most likely know everything that there is to about the game in terms of gameplay we will be inundated with these hodgepodged together videos for Rise Of The Tomb Raider until launch. More gameplay for Metal Gear Online has been shown at TGS and it explains how Metal Gear Online will expand The Phantom Pain as well as just be damn fun If you are like me then you are still wrapping up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's main campaign mode. I swear we will have a review up here soon. If you are also like me then you have been excited to see how Metal Gear Online is going to play out and expand the The Phantom Pain experience further than it already is. The game doesn't need a multiplayer aspect to keep the gameplay going but Konami did promise a new Metal Gear Online and we had a small taste already. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/31/15 — 9/4/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of September 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This has really been the week of video games and their collector's editions hasn't it? There sure were a lot of those announced or shown off this week haven't there? Although now of them have been anything to write home to mom about but not all video games can have amazing CEs. If you don't believe me you can have a look at the Uncharted 4, Street Fighter V, and Deus Ex collector's editions that we had the pleasure of seeing this week. Also a Resident Evil one of sorts for the new HD remasters but those aren't true collector's editions. Read More...

Let's Get Debriefed On Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new video from Hideo Kojima has been released thanking all for the support with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and the 28 year run of the Metal Gear Solid franchise Since Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is now out and available for all on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC it would make sense that we have a nice little launch trailer to celebrate with. It is the normal thing and Konami usually goes right along with that don't they? Especially since The Phantom Pain has been getting some great reviews and sales are going strong. Read More...

Minecraft: Story Mode Is Going To Let Us Choose Our Hero Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
It looks like Minecraft: Story Mode isn't only letting us choose our own story paths but also how our hero of Minecraft looks and sounds…with new screenshots While all of those lucking gamers are attending PAX will be getting a chance to play with a beta build of Minecraft: Story Mode it looks like the rest of us are not being left out in the lurch with nothing to go one but word of mouth. Telltale wouldn't do that to us. And in fact they haven't as they have dropped a few new screenshots on us from Minecraft: Story Mode as well as a little nugget that is a first in the developer's history here for their foray into the Mojang franchise. Rise Of The Tomb Raider's Collector's Edition Has Been Detailed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The collector's edition for Rise Of The Tomb Raider has been revealed and it is pretty standard in the ways of collector’s editions goes Surprise, surprise. It looks like Rise Of The Tomb Raider is getting a Collector's Edition version of the game. Okay. Not really that big of a surprise here but up until now there has been no word from Square Enix on if there was going to be one or not. Hells, Crystal Dynamics has been pretty quiet on the whole thing but I am sure that is due to them trying to make Rise Of The Tomb Raider the game we want and need and not just a bland addition to the franchise. That is at least what I would like to think as it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to think that as I'll most likely have another year to sit and wait for Rise Of The Tomb Raider to move from the Xbox 360 and Xbox One over to the PC and PS4. The Ultimate Metal Gear Is Coming In Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
The launch trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been released and it is full of nostalgia and new gameplay just for The Phantom Pain We are now officially a week out from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's release on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Next Tuesday, September 1st we will be giving Kojima Productions' final foray into the Metal Gear franchise before departing Konami and moving on to other things. It will be a sad time but it looks like The Phantom Pain will be bringing us so much joy and "ultimate story" that we can overlook all of that and just pine for the game when not in our hands. The Phantom Pain has looked to be one of those titles that have the ability to last for quite some time even if you don't take part in the online multiplayer aspect of it all. Read More...

The Rise Of The Tomb Raider Demo That Should Have Been At Gamescom
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A stealthier version of the Rise Of The Tomb Raider demo that was shown off at Gamescom has been released to show combat doesn't have to be used in Rise Of The Tomb Raider If you were like me then you were most likely let down with the first showcase of Rise Of The Tomb Raider during Gamescom. It was claimed to be a stealth gameplay demo just for the show but there was a lot more combat mixed in and a lot less stealth than we should expect in Rise Of The Tomb Raider. It looks like Crystal Dynamics heard or read the outcry there as they have just released a new version of that "stealth" Rise Of The Tomb Raider gameplay footage only this time they really do mean stealth as Lara makes her way through the same area without trying to kill or injure a single person in Rise Of The Tomb Raider. Usually I am all about the killing to get rid of those pesky guards in games like Rise Of The Tomb Raider but that just has never been Lara's style before and more along the lines of Agent 47. 28 Years Of Metal Gear Solid Will Be Concluded In The Phantom Pain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new promotional video for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been released teasing that we will get the answers we've waited decades for It's a little crazy to think that we've been playing Metal Gear Solid games for almost thirty years. Twenty eight to be exact and it has been one hell of a ride that Kojima has taken us on over the years. I guess that will make the ending of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain much more emotional as it will be an end to a rather lengthy run. Konami has said they want to keep the franchise rolling but The Phantom Pain will be the end of the franchise with the man who started it all. Read More...

New Rise Of The Tomb Raider Demo Shows Some Tomb Raiding
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The actual demo for Rise Of The Tomb Raider on the Gamescom show floor has been released at it feels much more Tomb Raider-like than ever I am pretty sure now that Rise Of The Tomb Raider has been announced to not only be hitting the Xbox 360 and Xbox One but also the PC and PS4 that Microsoft is not going to do any justice on showing off what we can all look forward to for the game. During Gamescom they showed the world on their huge stage what Rise Of The Tomb Raider would look like on their system only to make Crystal Dynamics' work look like a Thief/Uncharted rip-off. That's how I saw it at least even though I know way better. Read More...

All Kinds Of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Multiplayer Explained
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Another long demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain from Gamescom 2015 has been shown off and it explains more on Mother Base and the FOB multiplayer aspect of The Phantom Pain Get ready for a nice long Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain session here today as we have even more gameplay and trailers for the game to sink our eyes into right from Gamescom. With under a month left until the game hits the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on September 1st and given all of the footage we've seen up until now you would think that Konami would hold back to give us something to experience firsthand in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but thus is not the case. What is also not the case is that even though we have another 30+ minutes of gameplay to spy on it still feels like Kojima Productions has a lot more added into The Phantom Pain that we haven't seen just yet as well. Rise Of The Tomb Raider Looks More Like A Stealth Game Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
New gameplay footage for Rise Of The Tomb Raider was shown at Gamescom and it looks like there will be a whole lot more stealth action than remembered in any Tomb Raider title before Another non-shocking title to be shown off today for Microsoft's press event at Gamescom was Rise Of The Tomb Raider. They are so proud to be getting Crystal Dynamics' title to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One first that of course they want to show off all the cool things those gamers will get before the PS4 and PC crowds. Can't fault them for that. Read More...

This Is How Everybody's Gone To The Rapture Is A British Apocalypse
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new developer diary of sorts for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture has been released and details out how Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is a very British Apocalypse Well Everybody's Gone To The Rapture hits the PS4 in a few weeks on August 11th. We've seen some good things for it up until now and it looks like The Chinese Room has created an amazing experience in storytelling with the game. I have yet to play any part of Everybody's Gone To The Rapture but I have seen so many little videos and explanations that I feel that I get what the game is going for and what we all will most likely experience; even if Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is not an apocalypse story that was designed for someone with my background. That background being not having grown up in a rural town in the British Isles. Read More...
