A new version of the game that is heading to the PS5 on March 26th from Teyon will have us back in the resistance fighting side of it all and trying to survive the end of times one more time. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Things are starting to slow down and we can start to kick back and enjoy some of those video games we have out there. It is that time of year, and even though the awards of last week gave us some stuff to look at for The Callisto Protocol and a new Mass Effect, I have feeling things will be slowing down a lot more until the new year starts. Callisto Protocol A new version of The Callisto Protocol announcement is here to show how graphic The Callisto Protocol might be going Earlier in the week, we had the announcement for The Callisto Protocol and a fun new cinematic trailer out there. It is a new horror title coming out from Striking Distance Studios and Krafton for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022. That means we did not have much to go on for The Callisto Protocol as of yet with it being so early in development. Callisto Protocol A new horror game, The Callisto Protocol, is on its way with some major players behind the scenes for The Callisto Protocol It is going to be a bit of a wait, but we have a new horror coming at us with The Callisto Protocol. The wait being that the current timeline points it to a 2022 release with it poised to hit the PC and consoles at the time. All of which is time I am fine seeing Striking Distance Studios to take so we have some solid next-gen horror coming at us all. Something that is even more exciting when you also learn that some of the devs working on The Callisto Protocol are the same that made the Dead Space franchise so over-the-top with the fear. Oddworld The release window for Oddworld: Soulstorm has shifted a bit but we have a new trailer to check out for Oddworld: Soulstorm I am sorry to say it, but we need to dash any hope of getting Oddworld: Soulstorm earlier than expected. The release window has been pushed out until Spring of 2021 for the PS4, PS5, and PC for the same reason many games are getting shifted along the pipeline. The Rona strikes again and has forced Oddworld Inhabitants to keep the work going as things have slown down due to developer safety. I will wait a bit longer for Oddworld: Soulstorm if it becomes a better game and the devs can live on to keep the IP going on further into the future. Read More...

CryoSpace The announcement for CryoSpace is out there to bring us a new and dark game to experience as we try to survive what CryoSpace will throw at us Space is already a dark place and now we can see how things can go darker with the announcement for CryoSpace. This is a new title coming to us from Kuklam Studios and Games Operators for the PC in 2022 that will take us down that path. All in the way of a new survival style game where we are on a spaceship sent out to colonize a different planet. Unfortunately, and the reason CryoSpace is more of a game than a story, things have gone wrong and you and a few others are brought out of cryosleep to find something has gone horribly wrong. Tomb Raider A new mobile game, Tomb Raider Reloaded, is announced and will bring us all more of the Tomb Raider fun on our phones next year We might not have had a full Tomb Raider game here this year, or one on the horizon to fully look at, but that does not mean we will not be getting something in the franchise soon. It looks like Emerald City Games is looking to bring us all a little more Lara into our lives next year. All of which will be coming at us through a new mobile game called Tomb Raider Reloaded. Underworld Dreams A new horror title, Underworld Dreams, is announced and it looks like Underworld Dreams looks to offer up more in the Lovecraft mythos It sure does seem like there is a popularity recently when it comes to the Lovecraft mythologies and here we go with another video game announced in that vein with Underworld Dreams. This would be a new indie title from Drop Of Pixel that is in the works and has Skystone Games at the helm to publish it all for the PC and consoles next year. Doctor Who A new video game in the Doctor Who universe is coming with the announcement of Doctor Who: The Edge Of Reality There is another big title coming in for the Doctor Who franchise after the big VR title that was released a bit further back. Not just a new title but also a follow up to that one from Maze Theory that will continue it all forward. Seems a bit odd as that one was a VR-only title and this one will be a PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC title, but it is what it is. Torchlight The full release for Torchlight III will be here in October with Torchlight III coming to more systems sometime after it launches The Early Access is coming to an end for Torchlight III and that means we are going to be seeing a final release date for the game. It has been shaped and crafted by Echtra Games for a bit now and we will soon see it on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in its full form. All of which will be on October 13th here with Torchlight III coming to the Switch in the future too.
