Underworld Dreams: The False King Is Launching Out There This Spring

Underworld

The Underworld Dreams anthology is kicking off this Spring with the launch of Underworld Dreams: The False King

Underworld Dreams: The False King is offering us all one smaller tease here as we get ready for the pending release on the PC and Switch, a release that has always been a bit nebulous on when we could expect it. Now it is sounding as if Drop Of Pixel and Skystone Games are looking to drop it this Spring for those platforms. We are in the midst of the season as of now, so that only leaves a few months to expect it, but the Underworld Dreams Anthology is about to kick off there. Unless this is all some massive rouse and we are all just going a bit madder in our heads while we wait for it all to land.

All of that fun wordplay only makes true sense when you realize that Underworld Dreams is another title that is digging into the Lovecraft lore out there. The following teaser should be able to clue you in on that too, even if it is using some of the dated visuals from gaming history to help tell this story. A style that I feel will help aid Underworld Dreams so we can get further immersed in the story and horror while not focusing on if the characters are detailed enough to be taken as real. That happens to me often and I know I would rather focus on the story and gameplay elements instead of how snazzy a title might look if you have the best hardware.

Underworld Dreams: The False King — NGPX Trailer

Underworld Dreams: The False King is the first game in the Underworld Dreams Anthology — the first-person horror series based in the Lovecraftian mythos. Inspired by the works of Lovecraft and Robert W Chambers and set in the 1980s, it sets the stage for the Underworld Dreams experience.

Underworld Dreams: The False King is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch later this year.

When do you think we should truly expect to see this Underworld Dreams title in our hands? Do you think that the coming soon aspect is more in terms of the year than the season or will it surprise drop on us in the next week? How deep into the lore will the team go with this one or will it just be imagery and names of things with nothing beyond that? Tell us all that you have to say down in the comments and then let the discussions fly. If we have anything more to share for Underworld Dreams: The False King, know it will be here on the site. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and everything else we have to throw at you.
