The Cataclysm Is Upon Us

The Cataclysm is coming, and the Warcraft universe will change yet again. According to Blizzard's press release the Beta for World of Warcraft's Cataclysm expansion has begun and invites are being sent out to players who opted in on battle.net. If you got in, you should receive an e-mail notification, or login to your battle.net account and see if you have been selected. Cataclysm boasts two new classes, the Goblin and the Worgen, and will bring players back home to Azeroth where the world has literally been rocked by the biggest baddest dragon we've seen so far. E3 2010: Sights And Sounds

It has been over a week now since E3 closed its doors. Since then I have been pouring over the many pictures I snapped - from the Activision Party to the Nintendo and Sony presser to everything else in between. I also managed to film some of the Method Man and Redman concert at the Konami booth. You may think it is all fun and games when you are at E3, and at times can be, but it is also a lot of hard work. E3 2010 Hands On: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

At E3 2009 Konami showed a trailer, for the first time, for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Needless to say, it took nearly everyone by surprised. A year later Konami showcased the game with a playable demo. I wasn't able to play the full length of the game but I still played long enough to talk about what I played. The demo started off in the rainy village, where Gabriel has come to find leads about the whereabouts of a powerful unnamed entity. Since it was announced through a need to Platinum God Of War III, God of War: Ghost of Sparta has been a title on my radar with a HUGE blip. It is God of War game, after all, but it is also a God of War on the PSP again. Not that the first wasn't great, but will a PSP follow up to the superstar God of War III be as good? E3 2010 Hands-On: The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword

It started with a rush of excitement from the crowd in the Nokia Theatre on Tuesday morning and proceeded throughout E3. A brand-new Legend of Zelda was coming to the Nintendo Wii. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the Wii Motion Plus-based adventure fans have been clamoring for since the little white box’s inception. Not much of the story has been released for Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but judging by the reaction at the Nintendo Press Conference and how long people were willing to wait in line to experience the brief demo at E3, that is not a concern…yet. So How Is Gears Of War 3 Looking These Days

Something we have all been thinking since the announcement back in April. Yea there have been a few shots before, but here we go with a few more. A few more that are extremely stunning and blood filled. Nothing to the level of Splatterhouse in terms of blood and gore, but still. I will have to say that things are looking to progressing very well. At least in the graphics department. Lord Of The Rings Online To Go Free-To-Play

Today Turbine and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment announced that in the fall their popular MMO, Lord of the Rings Online, will be introducing a free-to-play model. Turbine will be implementing a three-tier system (VIP, Premium and Free) that will put limitations on the non-subscribing members. Free members will still be able to access all four races, most of the player classes and all three starting zones. Microsoft's Project Natal To Be Priced At $149

Accoriding to a report from Edge-Online today Microsoft has set a $149 price tag on its upcoming motion capture camera dubbed "Project Natal". This price is three times the original rumored price of $49. To keep it relative the anticipated pricepoint of Sony's similar upcoming hardware release "move" is rumored to be only $99. Will Microsoft sell the millions of units to the casual and non-traditional gaming crowd that it anticipates at this price point? Naughty Bear Are You Losing Your Touch?

As Naughty Bear has been stealing more and more for the book How To Be More Like Hades™, I would have expected him to use one of the better rules this time around. That rule being #12, "Use Their Own Knife Against Them." But instead he went with the less used rule #1012, "Curb Smash When You Can." Which does not make sense as it is a larger slap in the face to gut someone with their own machete.
