Kratos is back to show the world why he was so pissed at the beginning of God of War 2 - not to mention that finally one of the original storylines for the franchise is brought into the mix. Blizzcon 2010 In A Nutshell

Here we are, the day after the most anticipated weekend of conventions, Blizzcon. For your typical Blizzcon, it seemed they didn't have any major announcements this year. No Diablo III release date. No word on their new MMO (World of Jersey Shorecraft??) but I will say the cosplay contest was probably the best I've seen so far. Chris Metzen hosted this year's keynote, and after some Blizzard buffs, we broke into a steady run of news beginning with the next WoW expansion. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will be on sale December 7th, and for those that don't want to wait in line at midnight, players can buy and download directly from the website in advance. Read More...

God Of War Screens Not As Epic As The Trailer

The title really says it all here. Below you will find a new set of screen shots from God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta. Some will look similar to things we have seen and already played in the demo. Some are a bit new. But in the end, they really don't do anything to excite like the most recent Back-story Trailer from last week. This makes me kind of sad. Not sad as in the game will be horrible, but sad in the fact that this kind of slows the epic steamroller it looked like Sony was getting in motion for teases until launch. Read More...

Unless you are a hardcore fan of God Of War, and I mean HARDCORE fan, you may not know that the original story was going to have Kratos fighting his brother who was discarded due to Spartan law. Something that you only got to know by watching the extra videos after beating the original PS2 game or the re-mastered version in God of War: Collection. Up until now, Gene Simmons the Demigod of Rock has prevailed. That is, up until now when the Beast finally bested the Demigod and locked him away. Blizzard Officially Announces Cataclysm Release Date

Blizzard finally graces us with the official announcement for the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclsym. I'm pretty sure everyone has figured it out by now, but it's nice to see that now it's "Official" and no longer simply speculation. Deathwing is coming and he's bringing a boat load of destruction with him. With an increase of the level cap to 85, two new races and a complete restructure of the old world, this is revving up to probably be the best expansion yet. So if you haven't already reserved your pre-order, digital download or time off from work on December 8th, you have plenty of time to make your arrangements and hit the ground running when the expansion comes out. Fable III Is Star Studded

Viva La Claptrap Revolution!

Back in early August we mentioned the new DLC for Borderlands, Claptrap New Robot Revolution. It is bring a bunch of additions to the game, as we mentioned, as well as being included in the GOTY Edition, also mentioned. So what new do we have for you? Not a solid release date, but I'm willing to bet on 9/14, 9/21 or 9/28 if 2K and Gearbox want to keep their September time frame originally mentioned. It is, as you've most likely glanced already, a set of new screens and posters for the DLC. Nothing too revealing, but something to make you look at and give a thought about dropping the $9. Unleash The Rock Warrior Within With Guitar Hero

We all know by now that each of the characters in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock have an alter ego. If you don't, consider yourself informed now or ask yourself why you clicked into this article. For those of you that have a clue, we have a new look at ALL of the characters in the new game. How they all look, from concept to in game, what all of their abilities are and a nice in game look of what it is like when they will transform to help the Demigod of Rock. This is my first time seeing Austin, Casey and Judy here in all the transforming glory and I will say I am anxious to get my hands on Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Borderlands Giving Out DLC For Free

Isn't it always the case now? Everyone is out to make a buck one way or another at the expense of our pockets. The recent price hike for XBL is a good example of that. What you may have missed is the push for Game of the Year (GOTY) or Special Edition versions of games that come loaded with all that expensive DLC pumped out after game launch. Obviously this is simply a play to grab all the people who didn't shell out cash to make sure the DLC was created. LittleBigPlanet and Batman: Arkham Asylum are great examples here of this. The on-line world is in a blaze right now as announced by Major Nelson that Microsoft will be raising the cost of XBox Live Gold membership starting November 1, 2010 in the US, Canada, Mexico and the UK. The new prices for Xbox Live will be this: Well I know for a fact that Michael is probably not happy with the price changes at all, and probably a good majority of its users. I Can't Live Because Of You NCSoft

Craig Smallwood from Hawaii will soon be a name that will be in gaming news for a while. Why? Wired.com has reported that Craig has filed a lawsuit against NCSoft. What for you may ask? Craig claims that NCSoft “acted negligently in failing to warn or instruct or adequately warn or instruct plaintiff and other players of Lineage II of its dangerous and defective characteristics, and of the safe and proper method of using the game.” Wahhhhh? Craig claimed NCSoft should pay unspecified monetary damages because of how addicting the game is. Read More...
