I was hoping that we were all beyond this with the epic tea bagging Devastator gave us in the last Transformers film. Ok, well not really the Silver Surfer himself in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 but what looks an awful lot like Galactus has turned the "Villains" of the game into "Heralds" of some sort. I mean if you watch the trailer and look at the screen shots below you get to see "Silver" Wesker, Dr Doom, Dormammu and Akuma do everything the planet eater asks of them. In this case it looks like they are asked to be the first wave of attack against which ever hero team you have brought to stop Galactus from eating the Earth. Ok, so here is a nice little twist to things on the MvC3 front. It looks like there is a bit more DLC already planned after launch of the game. This DLC won't be new characters, but it will bring new challengers to the table. New challengers in the form of a Shadow Mode for the game. What is Shadow Mode? It is a way that Capcom can allow users at home to download AI opponents programmed after the techniques and preferences of Capcom's development staff and famous players from the fighting game scene. It has been announced that Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath were coming to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 as DLC for a short while now, but how are they going to look? Well I am sure your eyes have already drifted south for a second to see that we have a slew of new screen shots showcasing what you can expect the two new characters to look like and a bit of fight like. Today Guardians of Graxia (Reviewed here) is getting its first full expansion pack Elves and Dwarves. With the new expansion come new guardians, new units, new abilities and six new skirmish maps. It's a pretty big deal. New Guardians First out of the gate are the new guardians, GoG is introducing a new elf and dwarf Guardian with corresponding units. So just as Sony did when GoWIII was hitting its console, Epic is doing the same for GoW3 for the 360. Those titles being God of War III and Gears of War 3 respectfully before I move on. So yes this means that if for some reason you held out on getting either of the Gears of War titles, you can look forward to getting a combo pack with both of those games on disc to catch you up with everything before the big daddy hits. Blizzard's World of Warcraft is the current definitive MMO. With six years of collected content, twelve million players, and three expansions, it doesn't look like WoW is going anywhere soon. Blizzard had built an empire, but to strengthen the empire's walls, it would have to rebuild itself from the inside out. For the past six years, in order for a player to reach the cap level of 80, players had to grind through some of the most grueling quests we've seen since Everquest. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow came and went. It was a great addition to the franchise in my opinion but the replay on the game is almost nonexistent. Once you beat the main game and then clean up the challenges and Paladin play-through there really is not much more to do with the game. It just sits on the shelf collecting dust like all of tomes in the Vampire's castle. What do you do after you announce that your latest game has gone over the $1 Billion dollar worldwide sales mark? You announce some DLC to keep that game going strong. Activision announced today its first DLC map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops entitled First Strike. The new DLC Map pack is slated for February 1, 2011 to be released on XBox Live. “We’re committed to supporting Call of Duty: Black Ops fans with continuous updates to the game and exciting new content that will keep our community engaged,” said Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. The map pack will include four new maps: Kowloon - Kowloon city in china, except this time on rooftops Berlin Wall - Located in Berlin at the infamous Checkpoint Charlie Discovery - an Antarctic research station Stadium - takes place at a hockey rink in the US A new Zombie map called "Ascension" will also be included in the map pack, but no details on that one yet. No I'm not saying that Bulletstorm is going to be the stop gap in the need for Gears Of War 3. It will however score you a slot in the GoW3 beta. Well at least if you preorder the "Epic Edition" of Bulletstorm that is coming to the XBox 360. There is no price difference for the "Epic Edition" from any standard price for a new title ($59.99) but there are a few extras outside of the Gears beta. Looks like Blizzard did it again. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, the latest expansion in the World of Warcraft series sold 3.3 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release.
