In Time For The Next Evolve We Have The Intro Cinematic
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
The Evolve intro cinematic has been released online to get all those hunters read for the next big beta on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC In only a few more days we will all be helping Turtle Rock and 2K test out those servers for Evolve. Hopefully you were in on the Big Alpha so you had a nice easy time getting set up for the next beta for the Xbox One or the server stress test for the PS4 and PC. If not good luck and keep an eye out for a whole bunch of new gameplay to be hitting after the beta is over as we are now moving closer to the launch of Evolve. With that close at hand we not only do we get those aforementioned beta/stress tests but a nice new video for those who are not going to be able to take part in the fun. Read More...

Straight Out Of CES Comes The LyteShot Kickstarter
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
LyteShot, a new gaming platform, was shown off at CES 2015 and has had its Kickstarter campaign kicked off This may be the first time you've heard of LyteShot but I've heard a few things and had the pleasure of seeing things up close and personal at CES here this week. Nothing in action outside of the below Kickstarter video for the gaming platform but if you can use your imagination, as the platform wants, then you can see how this could be the next great addition to gaming; both video and physical. If you follow along here you may get to understand and have a hand in bringing the whole thing to light. Pun intended. Read More...

Is Limbo Coming To The PS4?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
A listing on the PEGI website may have confirmed a PS4 version of the popular indie title Limbo, not through PlayStation Now Hopefully by now you've at least heard of Limbo. Not the place of nothingness in popular religious mythologies but the video game. It is a fun little title from Playdead and has been named as one of the best indie titles for some time now. Limbo has seen a release on many different platforms ranging from the PC to the Xbox 360 to the PS Vita to the PS3. According to a recent listing on the PEGI website it looks like it may be adding the PS4 to that list and not through the use of PlayStation Now as one might have been thinking already. Read More...

A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Hopefully this will be the last of the slow weeks for video games here. At least in the news side of things. We'll be all over that next week for your reading and hopefully viewing pleasure. Until then, let us focus on those video games that we can look at now. Read More...

Project Scissors Gets Its First Live Action Teaser Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of January 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Project Scissors, the spiritual sequel to Clock Tower, has had its first live action teaser released to show the theme and mood of the final game Fans of the Clock Tower franchise may be familiar with the upcoming Project Scissors title coming soon. It is pretty much the "spiritual sequel" to the franchise. How it is only going to be a "spiritual" sequel instead of an actual sequel is beyond me as Project Scissors is being made by the same guy who directed the original series; but that is me just splitting hairs when we don't need to. Especially since we have the first trailer for Project Scissors just a bit below. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
In an early copy of a Finnish magazine it has been confirmed that Kung Lao will be joining the roster of fighters for Mortal Kombat X Just like the Kano "leak" for Mortal Kombat X it looks like print media has given us a look at Kung Lao before the official announcement from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. may have wanted. This magazine being a Finnish gaming magazine, Pelaaja, and thus translated by a Mortal Kombat fan site for us all. Read More...

This Is What The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Looks Like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
New screenshots for the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta on the Xbox One have been placed online for those who are not in the beta yet If you are part of the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta then none of what you are about to see is going to be all that exciting. In fact you may want to move on as you have seen all of the footage live and in play already; hopefully. For everyone else then we have a bunch of new screenshots from 343 Industries to show everyone who has yet to pre-order Halo 5: Guardians or turned on the beta what they may be missing out on. Although it seems odd to think that anyone who would have access to the Halo 5: Guardians would not have been balls deep in it just yet… To be honest it looks just as we all would have thought Halo 5: Guardians to have looked. Oh The BioShock Film That Could Have Been…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Concept art for the canceled BioShock movie has been released online showing off the direction that the film could have taken If there was one franchise that could have made the jump into films easily it was BioShock. The environments, the characters, the story, and well everything about it could have easily made the jump. Unfortunately at this time BioShock will not be gracing the silver screen in a film sort of way. The project was canned a while back due to having the funds slashed from $200 million to $80 million. You wanted to see those Elite skins for Evolve so 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have given you this little Christmas gift During Evolve's Big Alpha people wanted to have a better look at all of those elite skins as they didn't seem to stand out. At least that was one of the major complaints people had as I am told. For those people it looks like 2K and Turtle Rock Studios have a fun little Christmas gift for you. That would be a nice big look at those Evolve for the monsters rendered in a way for us all to have a better look at them. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Sunset Overdrive's Mystery of the Mooil Rig DLC is out today and just in time for us all to fight some tentacle monsters on our Xbox One's for Christmas If you didn't already have a huge backlog of titles or any new games to play over the coming days then let Sunset Overdrive add a bit more DLC to itself to keep you entertained. In fact, it is some of the first Story DLC to be added from Insomniac Games and it can be downloaded to your Xbox One as you are reading this text. Of course that does mean you also have to have Sunset Overdrive for the system already but that should be a given. Read More...

See How The Monsters Of Evolve Have Evolved
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
In the latest livestream for Evolve we get a good look at how all of the monsters have evolved in the game as well as a better look at the Wraith The third monster for Evolve has been revealed and we've seen a bit on the Wraith but now it is time to get the full look at her. Not only the Wraith but all of the monsters we will be playing in Evolve when it launches on February 10th next year have gone though some evolving just as the game's title states. Now we have a nice long look at the evolution as well as a lot of game play for the monster so we can be better prepared when the Evolve beta lands on top of the game proper. Good thing 2K and Turtle Rock have some spare time to spend doing all of this. Read More...

Telltale Is Working On Minecraft: Story Mode Now?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Telltale and Mojang tried to hide a Minecraft: Story Mode announcement in a game but it looks like we are getting it Hey look, just what all those Minecraft players want; a story mode. No? Well Telltale and Mojang are now officially working on Minecraft: Story Mode just for all of you out there who truly want some kind of story behind all of the mindless hours of tree punching. My whole experience with Minecraft should be obviously only based on what was shown on South Park so I have no clue if there is more to the game than that. All I know is that there is no Minecraft 2 announcement but a Minecraft: Story Mode announcement here. Read More...

Evolve's Third Monster Finally Shows Her Sneaky Face
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
The third monster for Evolve has been revealed as well as the dates for the next beta on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC Merry Early X-mas to me and all of those Evolve fans out there as we have the third monster that we will be hunting down or hunting with this coming February. To quote Turtle Rock Studios on this, "She’s a space alien ninja Monster who warps around the battlefield, ripping into her enemies with her blade-claws. She can hit – then run – before you even see her coming." That's just the description though. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Bloodborne In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. I Gave The Game A Go Via Two Different Hunters To Make Sure I Didn't Miss Anything… Up until the PlayStation Experience my time with Bloodborne has been only in the way of trailers or watching one of the developers try to show off the game. If you've been following my drivel since Bloodborne was announced then you will know that I have been nothing but unenthused about the game. That is why I decided to give it the old college try and see if this PS4 exclusive was going to be able to capture my love with actual hands on. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Mortal Kombat X In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. I Was Able Beat People To Death. Here's What I Thought Of The Game There was no new character for Mortal Kombat X announced nor was there an exclusive character just for the PS3/PS4 mentioned at the PlayStation Experience but the latest build was available for us all to play. This included all characters, levels, variations, and moves that have been seen up until the Quan Chi announcement. That was a hefty bit if I do say so but it was well under 50% of what it looks like we will be getting in the final version of Mortal Kombat X. Read More...
