Review: Metro: Last Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of May 2013 - 05:09 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Metro: Last Light. The wait is over for the sequel to Metro 2033. Metro: Last Light is upon us and is continuing the saga of humanity's decimation and Artyom. Let's get down to brass tacks with how Last Light plays and feels. Story The story picks up with Artyom after following the "bad ending" of 2033. That would be allowing the Dark Ones to get blown to hell after they threatened the last safe haven of humanity in Russia. It turns out that one of these "Dark Ones" survived and has been spotted. Review: Poker Night At The Inventory 2 (PSN)
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of May 2013 - 09:48 PM ]
It's been a while since we've had a good card game on the PSN. Now, after a little over 2 years, we have the sequel to Poker Night At The Inventory hitting the PSN. It is aptly named Poker Night At The Inventory 2 for those who can't seem to keep up. It was released on every other platform about a week earlier, but I had the opportunity to give it a go when it hit the PS3. Here's what I thought. Hated Oh my gods the loading LAG in the game. by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 7th of May 2013 - 05:36 PM ]
During PAX East I had the honor of meeting the President of Mommy’s Best Games, Nathan Fouts. A really cool guy, who is extremely passionate in what he does. We exchanged contact information and for the past couple months we have been emailing each other back and forth, talking about Mommy’s Best Games, Serious Sam, as well as some other things. AggroGamer: When and why did you establish Mommy's Best Games Inc.? Nathan Fouts: I started working at bigger companies, like Running With Scissors, back in 1998. Read More...

More Screen Shots For Batman: Arkham Origins To Show The World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of May 2013 - 11:01 PM ]
Who wants a butt load of new screen shots for Batman: Arkham Origins? You do of course. This should be something to help tide us over until we get some actual in-game footage or at least an awesome CGI trailer. Hopefully that won't be too far off. I'm thinking at least a month, if not sooner. We'll have to see. Maybe they are still trying to work out the Voice Actors still. Anyway, the following images do show off some cool action shots as well as a few villains. Read More...

Live Action Tease Declassifies The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of April 2013 - 06:54 PM ]
Last week we got an awesome announcement that the XCOM title we saw back in 2011 is still alive and has not been fully canceled. There was also the promise of new information to come "soon." Who would have thought that the information, not to mention release date, would have come so shortly after the re-announcement? I'm a bit surprised and excited. Oh…wait…It's just a live action trailer and a few screen shots? Read More...

Finally We Are Going To Get New Details On The FPS XCOM
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of April 2013 - 09:00 PM ]
Ah… I remember back in 2011. Sitting in a dark room at E3. Waiting to see what 2K had to show us for the new XCOM title they were bringing. Then I remember not seeing a gods damned thing about it for almost two years. It looked so amazing and then I was crushed thinking it was never going to see the light of day. At least that was until there was a blog posting on the 2K Blog. Here is a copy for you so you don't have to click out. Read More...

With the success of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, most of us figured there was going to be a new Batman game coming. Lo and behold, just announced by Warner Bros., we have Batman: Arkham Origins to look forward to this coming October. Not only that, but there is also a handheld side kick that has just been announced for the Vita and 3DS; Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. Big news in the world of witty cross-over card game simulators. Telltale Games has recently announced that Poker Night at the Inventory is getting a sequel. According to the Telltale's website, “Poker Night 2 is the unnecessary sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory! In the original game you played poker with a bunch of weirdoes for fame and fortune Team Fortress 2 items and the satisfaction of beating the odds.” The original game had you playing against Max from Sam&Max, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, The Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and Tycho from Penny Arcade. This time around you will be able to play against Max’s partner Sam, Claptrap from Borderlands, Brock Sampson from Venture Brothers, and Ash Williams from Evil Dead. Read More...

PAX East Hands On: Swimsanity
by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 28th of March 2013 - 06:13 PM ]
One of the last titles I got to see at PAX East was an incredible amount fun and I'm not just saying that because I got to beat my friends down in it. Swimsanity was one of my favorite titles that I got to play at PAX East. The best part is it's not even finished yet. I got to speak with the whole team of Decoy Games, a new indie developer company that is responsible for the amazing Swimsanity and they confirmed that there will be many more features and maps besides what's been showcased at PAX East. Decoy Games is an independent gaming company started by two brothers, Ahmed and Khalil Abdullah. After exploring their passion for gaming, and finding they had an ability to create games, they began to build what they call team Decoy. Read More...

Let's Get To Know Elizabeth From BioShock Infinite
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of March 2013 - 05:57 PM ]
With just under a week from launch it looks like it would be a good time to showcase one of the main characters from BioShock Infinite wouldn't it? Of course it is. This is why Irrational Games has released the following "dev diary" all about Elizabeth and everything that went into making her walk, talk, and not being an annoying escort mission pain in the ass. If you are trying to be a purist and have as little info about BioShock Infinite before playing the game proper, you don't have anything to worry with the following video. Unless you really care about a small scene were Elizabeth tries to get Booker to dance with her and very basic level scenes. Read More...

Review: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 23rd of February 2013 - 12:06 AM ]
When one hears anything Metal Gear you usually think "Tactical Espionage" style of game. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance deviates from that to an extreme, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. While it all takes place in the same game universe, MGR:R tries a bit of difference with an action packed style of game play. How does it work out? Well read on. Read More...

Review: Serious Sam Double D XXL
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 22nd of February 2013 - 06:15 PM ]
Serious Sam Double D XXL is one hell of a mouthful, especially for a title of a game. But don't let the ridiculously long title discourage you from enjoying this great game. Featuring a Gunstacking ability, some awesome platforming, 2D side-scrolling action, and the comedy/humor we all know and love from the Serious Sam franchise. So let's talk about what I enjoyed about Serious Sam Double D XXL. God damn it I need to find a shorter name for that game SSDDXXL? Read More...

Review: Dead Space 3
by Irene Collazo [ Monday, 11th of February 2013 - 05:38 PM ]
Isaac Clarke is back for round three of limb dismembering, skull stomping, and vigorous shimmy shaking action against the Necromorphs we all love to hate. Oh, but he was dragged into it for the sake of mankind. Once again, Unitologists decide to cause an outbreak of Necromorphs because they’re simply crazy and suicidal. That’s just my opinion. Dead Space 3 is somewhat different from the first two games which threw me off for the first hour of game play. Read More...
