Why I Am Not Excited About Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Tuesday, 22nd of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Am I the only one who is disappointed by the new Borderlands game announcement? I have been a fan of Borderlands since its release day. I have played both games on all three platforms. Each time the game looks the best to me on the PC. Contrary to the evidence, I am not a PC elitist. The game just seems to pop a little better when ran at max settings on a PC. That is why when I heard that we were getting a new Borderlands game I was a happy camper. Then I read that it was going to be built on the same engine as Borderlands 2. Read More...

Rumor Mill: Resident Evil 7 May Be Announced At E3 2014
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
An article on a prominent Japanese economic newspaper suggests that we should see a Resident Evil 7 announcement at E3. Yet another item I want to mark under extremely hopeful; Resident Evil 7 could be officially announced as soon as this June. You can read that as "At E3 2014" if the current rumors end up being true and not just economical speculation. It would seem that a Japanese newspaper has made just that speculation for us to sit and pine over. This is all based on the mention of a next-gen console and the popularity of the Resident Evil franchise. Read More...

We Are Getting A Watch_Dogs 'Sequel' Already…In eBook Form
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has announced an eBook sequel story to the events of Watch_Dogs slated to come out around the game's launch. Watch_Dogs is still about a month out from launch and there is already a talk about a sequel to the game's story. This isn't another quick turnaround for another game in the new franchise but an eBook titled Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Clouds. Kind of an interesting way to go about it there but it does fit into Ubisoft's want for all IPs to be able to have a franchise built around it. From what has been stated so far don't expect it to be just a continuation of the story in Watch_Dogs the game but a whole new story in the same universe written by John Shirley. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Wolf Among Us - Episode Three. It's been a while since we picked up with Bigby and crew so let's see if the wait was worth it. It looks like everything is back on track for The Wolf Among Us in terms of release windows. No waiting around for a few months to get the new episode as we got episode three in quite a timely manner. The only question is, does A Crooked Mile expand on the game's world and mechanics or just let us down again? Sit right back and I'll tell you the tale of my experience with The Wolf Among Us episode three. Read More...

Batman: Arkham Knight Gets A Bunch Of New-ish Screen Shots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of April 2014 - 07:01 PM ]
Another wave of in-game screen shots for Batman: Arkham Knight have hit the web. Some old, but mostly new. I think the headline here kind of says it all about this new batch of Batman: Arkham Knight screen shots. We have quite a few new visuals for the game and some old sans the watermarks that were forced due to Warner Bros. giving other sites 'exclusive' content. That is me just harshing on the "mainstream" media though so I'll get back to what you came here for; the awesome new screen shots for Batman: Arkham Knight. Read More...

New Screen Shots For The Evil Within Shows Us Water Monsters
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of April 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A few new screen shots for The Evil Within have popped up on the internet. This time showing off a new monster type. We may not have more news for The Evil Within but we do have a few new screen shots for the game. I wish I had more given all of the bad "previews" that have been abound the internet from the other sites that require payment to give good news; but I don't. Instead just these four new shots that kind of show off a bit of the atmosphere and enemies in the game. At least both are perceived to be enemies and there is nothing more than the huge fanged monster roaring Sebastian and the other is Boxman. Read More...

Creating The Authentic Alien Universe For Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Alien Isolation has been released showing the care in creating the 70's Sci-Fi in a modern age. Let's mark this new developer diary for Alien Isolation a step in the right direction. At least in my book. Sega and Creative Assembly have just released a new dev diary showcasing how they are trying to stay true to the original limitations that the Alien films had for Alien Isolation. It is always funny to look back at older films and see how under advanced the future is supposed to be due to the real world tech at the times. For instance, Alien is supposed to be set around 2119 yet there are no crazy holograms or AR displays due to the limitations of the tech in the 70's. Read More...

The Beautiful World Of Child Of Light's Lemuria
by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 15th of April 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Child Of Light shows off the game's world, levels, and puzzles. If there is one thing I love it is a serene look at a game's world and Child Of Light does not let me down in that area. In fact this some of the most beautiful looking world that I have seen since Journey. That was a great combination of visuals and audio that brought me to tears with emotion and I have a feeling that will be the case with Child Of Light. Watch the following trailer and tell me that you don't think the same thing. It is absolutely gorgeous. Read More...

Rumor Mill: Assassin's Creed Comet Leads Us Back To Ancient Rome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of April 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
New rumors have cropped up stating that the rumored Assassin's Creed Comet will take place in Ancient Rome. New rumors about Assassin's Creed Comet rumors have cropped up all based off something stated during an interview with Jade Raymond (Managing Director at Ubisoft Toronto) on The Grid. There is a bit of a stretch taken by other news and blogs sites out there based off one quote but it would be extremely interesting and would give away the next location after Assassin's Creed Unity's French Revolution. Here is the quote based off the question Why has [Assassin's Creed] been so huge? I think the key to a popular game is a good core fantasy. Read More...

From The People Who Brought You Guacamelee!… Here's Severed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
DrinkBox Studios has announced there next title, Severed, and we have a trailer. When I hear the name Severed for a game title I automatically think survival horror or something alike. DrinkBox Studios apparently has a different idea with a FPS gesture based fantasy game. Quite a different stretch given the title but I was a huge fan of Guacamelee! that I will be willing to give it chance given my odd expectations. In fact, let us take a look at the first trailer for Severed and see how it is looking and how the gameplay will pan out a bit. Read More...

New Caffeine Trailer To Make You Afraid Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Caffeine, a Sci-Fi Horror adventure, has been released to help with funding. As it would seem the case we are going to be looking at another smaller title, Caffeine, due to all of the focus elsewhere in the gaming industry today. Some of you may have heard about it. Some of you may not have. No matter the case, here is a new look at what Incandescent Imaging has been cooking up in the Unreal Engine 4 since the original Unreal 3 demo was released online. It looks like a lot has been done in the matter of a month and there is still more to go. Read More...

Cult County To Mess With Texas In Horror FPS Fashion
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Cult County, a survival horror FPS, has a new gameplay trailer to help with its Kickstarter Campaign. If you haven't heard of Cult County yet then it may be safe to assume that you don't spend your days looking at Kickstarter campaigns or new that doesn't come from the huge publishers. I just found out about it myself while trying to dig up some fun content for all of you six readers out there due to all of the big names being focused on PAX and all the fun there. The only drawback from having huge conventions is they blow their load in terms of news out the gate. Back on topic though. Read More...
