Quantum of Solace Review, XBOX 360
by Ben Brody [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2008 - 07:06 AM ]
Quantum of SolaceESRB: TeenReviewed on: Xbox 360Quantum of Solace is Activision's first 007 game released since gaining the license from EA in 2006. It also marks the first Bond game released on 7th generation consoles (it is also released on 6th gen too). Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Mads Mikklesen, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, and Judi Dench all lend their voice and likeness to the game, which does give make it seem like you indeed are playing the movie, however, this time, that's a bad thing.Quantum of Solace doesn't fail so much due to the fact that it's not a great game to play, it fails in the regard that it's based on a movie, which while containing some over-the-top action, was largely a drama-love story that couldn't hold a candle to the action found in Goldeneye, From Russia With Love, Everything or Nothing, or even Nightfire. When producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson decided to take Bond in a different direction I was pleased with what came out on the big screen but was disappointed in the fact that the toned down, more realistic action wouldn't translate well to a video game, where over-the-top is the standard. A Steam Cloud is rolling in...
by [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2008 - 02:20 AM ]
Today, Valve has announced a platform that will store game applications online so that gamers can access them from any PC. Affectionately titled Steam Cloud, the November zombie thriller Left 4 Dead will ship with out-of-the-box support. According to Valve, the Steam Cloud "just works," meaning that any changes a gamer makes to configurations in-game such as button layouts, difficulty settings, or multiplayer options will be automatically delegated to the user’s Steam Cloud account on another computer. Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve, explains: "For some time now, Steam has allowed gamers to log on from any computer in the world and access their applications. This also makes it easy to upgrade a PC without worrying about losing your games. Read More...

Each time I see more, the more this game can't come sooner. After watch the opening five minutes here, my anticipation for this game is coming to an all time high. I'm just glad that I have some other games to keep me going until then. But now that my little bit has been said, I like to indulge myself, here's what's up with this video. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 2nd of November 2008 - 10:40 PM ]
Activision and Radical Entertainment bring us the fifteenth installment in the Crash Bandicoot franchise, with Crash: Mind Over Mutant. The game's premise is centered on a brand new technological device, called the "NV", that is worn on the wearer’s head, and acts as the last PDA you'll ever need. The problem with the device is that it was produced by the evil Dr. Neo Cortext and Dr. Read More...

[Xbox 360] Silent Hill Homecoming Review
by [ Friday, 31st of October 2008 - 05:43 AM ]
Silent Hill: for fans, that name is synonymous with fear, psychotic episodes, trippy visuals, and mindbending storylines. For everyone else, it has meant playing with the lights on, confusing and convoluted plotlines, and horrible controls. With the recent release of Silent Hill: Homecoming, the sixth entry into the Silent Hill franchise, Double Helix Games sought to better your survival horror experience. Did they succeed? Yes, in a number of ways. Read More...

MTV And Apple Corps. Join Forces For Beatles Music Game So yesterday there was an announcement that there was something major going to be announced from Apple and MTV. A nice little presser that included some of the PR people from Harmonix. So of course that sprouted rumors and theories of what was going to be announced. [XBox 360 Review] Fable II
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 28th of October 2008 - 06:13 PM ]
Choices we make in life effect our future and the outcomes of various events in life, and we deal with the rewards and consequences of those actions. And this is no different when you enter the world of Fable II, as every decision you make will shape how you are looked at and perceived, and even how the world shifts and shapes itself according to your decisions. Fable II begins with you living in the slums of Bowerstone with your sister Rose, homeless and hungry.  To feed yourself, you and your sister head towards the Town Market, and there is where Rose takes notice of a peddler selling ancient wares and decides she wants to buy the magic box for sale. Need A Killzone Fix?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of October 2008 - 04:48 PM ]
Killzone2 - Helghan - PlayStation 3 Well if you are still pining over this game and need a fix, here is a new trailer for your viewing pleasure. It is a high definition video of some of the cut scenes of the game. No real game play from what I saw, but then again with most games today using the game engine for their cut scenes over FMV, you can assume it will look about the same visually. Which does look pretty sweet. Not much more about what is going on with the game, story wise or what is going on, but still nice to see. Read More...

[PSP Import Review] Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 25th of October 2008 - 05:44 AM ]
Ikki Tousen is a fan service anime, all about breasts, fighting, pantsu, Chinese history and more breasts. So with the PSP release of Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, Marvelous Entertanment brings us a toned downed eroge side scrolling beat-'em-up of the anime.  While you won't see any type of nudity, there are more than enough suggestive images that unlock throughout the game. The game is out in Japan only, and most likely will never see a U.S. Read More...

Soul Calibur IV DLC
by Jesse [ Friday, 24th of October 2008 - 04:23 AM ]
This week the rumors have finally come to pass. Both Darth Vader and Yoda who were originally released as “console exclusive characters” have been made available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Sadly the price seems a little steep as Vader who first made his appearance on the PS3 is know downloadable on the 360 for the cost of 400 Microsoft points (or $5.00) and Yoda who appeared on the 360 can be downloaded off the PlayStation Store for the price of $4.99. Who Doesn't Like A Zombie
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of October 2008 - 09:07 PM ]
Tips for eating brains Really who doesn't? Well the people behind World of Warcraft just showed their love for them in their latest world event. At least in my opinion. In this event, there are boxes located in every port city that has the ability to turn your toon into a flesh craving zombie. From there, you get a few extra abilities to play around with in the game. Like say, bite a NPC and turn them into a zombie. Bite friend and turn them. Read More...

Review: Dead Space (PS3)
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of October 2008 - 05:14 PM ]
Bringing Back The Love Of Horror It has been a long time since I have had a game creep me out like the original Resident Evil did when I was a kid. Within the first twenty minutes of playing the game I felt the blood pumping with anticipation and a little excitement. And this isn't even anywhere near into the story at all. Pretty much, by this point you get off your ship look around and ask a few questions. Then out of no where the lights go out and you have to run for your life. Read More...
