With this new expansion users will have a new level of control as the pilots of EVE have turned their attentions to the celestial bodies around them; Casting surface inhabitants into the shadows for their powerful ships while exploiting the planets for their materials and profits they need to fuel countless ambitions. EVE Gate, a new social networking platform for Eve-Online, is a leap forward in extending the universe outside the game, letting players access in-game mail, features and to bring the community closer. Review: Lost Planet II
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 1st of June 2010 - 04:59 PM ]
When you start comparing Lost Planet II to its predecessor it seems like it should escape all of the pitfalls of the first title and really offer up a solid single player experience with a rich multiplayer to boot. Aside from technical issues, some slightly questionable AI and level design, it delivers. However, a word of advice: Don't bother playing the game by yourself. LP2 just doesn't seem designed for it. Kane & Lynch Bring Childhood Games Back
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of May 2010 - 03:24 PM ]
Remember when you were younger, more innocent and you use to play Cops and Robbers with all of your neighbors and school friends? Those were good times. Running around pointing fingers like fake guns, or using NERF™ guns. Swapping sides when caught stealing whatever little toy you had placed out there. Gods those were good times. Then we all grew up. Microsoft's Project Natal To Be Priced At $149
by Brian Goodman [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 11:32 PM ]
Accoriding to a report from Edge-Online today Microsoft has set a $149 price tag on its upcoming motion capture camera dubbed "Project Natal". This price is three times the original rumored price of $49. To keep it relative the anticipated pricepoint of Sony's similar upcoming hardware release "move" is rumored to be only $99. Will Microsoft sell the millions of units to the casual and non-traditional gaming crowd that it anticipates at this price point? Will Sony destroy any possibility of success with its newly announced 31% of the console market and its significantly cheaper "Move"? Read More...

Chris Hunting Hunters In Marvel Vs Capcom 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 09:21 PM ]
Ok, well not really, but think about the below shot of Chris Vs. The Hulk. Shot gun blast to the face of a big green hulking monster. Just like the first Resident Evil. Maybe that is how they are going to link a few of the stories for the game. That could also be a stretch though. But it could be easy to see happening. What other stories can we come up with from all the below Hi-Res screen shots from Capcom's next major fighter? Let's see. Read More...

Gaming In The Clouds
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 26th of May 2010 - 11:19 PM ]
The Cloud. You've heard about it. You've probably use it in forms such as DropBox, Gmail, or the hundreds of other programs out there hosting your files so that no matter where you are, they are available at the click of a mouse. Just stick your files into Cyberspace, and worry about them later. With supercomputers and data centers hosting Peta-Bytes worth of data, it seems kind of silly that you have to install your favorite game onto your computer, or every computer that you want to play it on. You can do it with video, why not video games? Think about it for a sec, why fill up your hard drive with titles dependent on your computers hardware, and every time the newest Crysis inception is released you have to upgrade that hardware? MGC Rolls Big In Vegas
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of May 2010 - 10:41 PM ]
Over the last weekend, AggroGamer had the pleasure of heading out to the most recent Midnight Gaming Championship event held in Las Vegas, NV. It was full of fun, sun and most importantly gaming. Which of course also means gamers in the wild. Those said gamers also mixed into the wild world of street racing. An interesting hybrid of humanity if you ask me. In any instance, the big draw was the competitions held by MGC. Read More...

Mass Effect The Movie
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 25th of May 2010 - 03:23 PM ]
Well this news came sooner than I could ever realized. According to G4tv.com, Legendary Pictures just picked up the rights to make a feature film based on Mass Effect. As we speak they are in discussions with the screen writers from I Am Legend and Thor to produce the screenplay. Now you may be wondering who will be producing the film? You will be happy to know that BioWare's co-founder and VP, Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, along with Mass Effect executive producer, Casey Hudson, will serve as executive producers for the film. Joining in on the fun will be Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Ari Arad. Read More...

The Beauty Of Final Fantasy XIV
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of May 2010 - 01:51 PM ]
Now I was not a big fan of Final Fantasy XI. Maybe it was the grind. Maybe it was the lack of people that I like to play with. Maybe it was the lower end graphics for the game. At least lower end to my high standards. Yes I am a graphics prima donna now. I have been spoiled by the "next gen" consoles and higher end PC graphics for too long. Well at least now due to online socializing and the below new screen captures of Final Fantasy XIV, it looks like two of the above three issues I had will be taken care of. At least if these are in game shots, most likely, and not pre-rendered from an intro clip or cut scene type clips. Read More...

Review: Split/Second
by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 24th of May 2010 - 10:18 PM ]
So what do you get when you take a game like Burnout Paradise - adding the whole “Reality T.V.” vibe - and throw in a huge Hollywood influence? You get Split/Second from Disney Interactive and Black Rock Studio. This is probably one of the better games I have played this year. If perhaps you have been living under a rock, then let me give you a quick rundown of the game before I go into more details. Split/Second is a racing game where you, as a driver/contestant, take part in a reality T.V. Read More...

Does Super Hero Squad Online Appeal To You?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of May 2010 - 05:29 PM ]
Well here you go true believers. Officially debuting on the great internets is the trailer for Marvel Super Hero Squad Online. Gods that is a long ass title. From here on it will be, MSHSO. Long title or no, that doesn't disregard the fact that now we can take a look at one of the rendered videos for MSHSO. At least what looks like an intro to the game that isn't coming out until next year sometime. So they have time to shorten the title or find something catchy. Read More...

Review: Iron Man 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 23rd of May 2010 - 07:14 PM ]
So you've read the comics. You've seen the film, most likely. You hopefully listened to the developer's call. Now you might be wondering if you should go through with playing Iron Man 2 the video game. Well let me tell you my thoughts to hopefully make up your mind on what you should do, or at least make a small impact on which way you sway. Before we get into the nitty gritty, I do want to warn that this game is based on the film. But only based as in it is in the same world as the film's events and also uses two of the cast for voice overs. Read More...

Google Gets Pac-Mania
by Kevin [ Sunday, 23rd of May 2010 - 12:42 PM ]
To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Pac-Man, Google has done one of the coolest things with their logo in recent memory, transforming it into a playable stage of the classic game. Though I hesitate to think that this will be a trend and will lead to more video game related logos for Google, it's good to see that when they decide to introduce something gaming related they actually make it interactive and not static. You can start the game by "inserting a coin" or by waiting ten seconds before the game starts automatically. Pac-Man has been one of the constants of gaming since 1980, and was introduced when the more popular games of the time were space shooters like Asteroids. Read More...

Red Dead Redemption: First Impressions And Thoughts
by Brian Goodman [ Friday, 21st of May 2010 - 09:41 PM ]
Red Dead Redemption is Rockstar San Diego's newly released sandbox genre game. Despite many delayed release dates, reports of troubled working conditions, and an overblown development budget making profitability unlikely, the game has come out to much critical acclaim and rightly so. Red Dead Redemption is a sequel to the 2004 XBox and PS2 release Red Dead Revolver. Red Dead Redemption stars outlaw turned government agent John Marston. The Clint Eastwood-like spaghetti western plot revolves around Mr. Read More...

What Is Singularity's Deadlock?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of May 2010 - 06:02 PM ]
In case you were wondering the same thing the title is, let us answer that for you. It is the name of the time manipulation tool you get to use in the game. Well, that was an easy explanation. I guess I'll leave ya there. Or not. Below there is a better look at one of the functions of the device; A function that lets you place people or things into a "time bubble" to either kill or slow down. It also looks like you can make a form of slow-field as well to make dodging enemy fire that much easier. Kind of a nice little function to have in a FPS. Read More...
