Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Another week in this crazy world of video games has come and passed again and it has been another roller coaster ride of things. There were a lot of dinosaur games and LEGO games brought up this week. I'm talking ARK: Survival Evolved, LEGO Jurassic World, and LEGO Dimensions respectfully here. Another gameplay video for Overwatch has been released and this time shows off the angelic Mercy for Overwatch Earlier we had a look at Zenyatta for Overwatch and it was a bit jarring and a letdown for me. I was so very excited and then seeing things in action kind of let me down. At least until now as I have seen it looks like it was only the character there that has me on edge about Overwatch. I say this because now we have a good look at how Mercy will handle in the game; at least in terms of the pre-alpha footage that was used to show off the match that focuses completely on this healing angel that looks to play a lot like all of the medics from Evolve. While the medic isn't usually my class of choice in games like Overwatch, the following footage definitely shows me that I may have been too quick to judge based on the previous gameplay that Blizzard has sent our way. New gameplay footage for Overwatch has been released and this time it focuses on Overwatch's robo-buddhist character named Zenyatta Who wants to see some more Overwatch in action? Not only that but who wants to see some Overwatch gameplay that focuses on one specific character so you can get a better feel for how they will play? I'll give a moment or two for all of those hardcore Blizzard fans to settle down and give others a chance to listen in. Activision and FreeStyleGames has released the first set of tracks coming to Guitar Hero Live and it's not all to surprising So we've seen the idea behind Guitar Hero Live and what Activision and FreeStyleGames has in the pipeline for us but we all really want to know which rock stars we are going to be pretending to be in the virtual world. Yes the announcement event did give us a couple but we know that there is supposed to be a huge catalog of licenses artists and songs for us to play through. Good news here though as it looks like we can expect updated for Guitar Hero Live track list on a weekly basis and the first 24 artists/songs have been released for us to look at and question. A few instruction booklets have made it online to confirm a few other dimensions we will be going to in LEGO Dimensions in the near future Since LEGO Dimensions was announced early last April it has been a huge question as to all of the "dimensions" that could be included in the game. Ideally it would include ever property that LEGO has licensed over the years but we have had only a very truncated list thus far with TT Games and Warner Bros. promising many more on the way. Well it would seem a few of those LEGO Dimensions announcements may have made it online a bit earlier than they wanted as we know have seen Doctor Who and Portal 2 among the list of dimensions and toys we will get to play with when the game launches on September 29th. It has been announced that ARK: Survival Evolved is coming and we will be able to play it on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux If you had hopes of one day being able to be a part of an open world, Jurassic Park-like, multiplayer, FPS, survival game then you need not look further as now we have ARK: Survival Evolved on the way to fill that empty spot on your gaming shelf. This would be the new title coming from the independent developer Studio Wildcard and it does just about what I said before with a bit more on top of it all. Wow that was kind of a lame way to start out with but at least we have a whole lot of awesome video game new and updates for you to make up for it. Granted it is very Batman: Arkham Knight and The Wither 3 heavy when it is all boiled down but at least we had a nice look at the new controllers for Rock Band 4. 'Leaked' videos and stills may be showing that we may have a new MediEvil title coming soon; possibly for the PS4 Update It turns out this is not a new MediEvil title in the works but a fan build based on the original title in the hopes to show Sony why there needs to be a new MediEvil title made. Kudos on the build as it does look production quality at the end of the day. Nintendo and Universal Parks are teaming up to bring us all the Nintendo experiences we want in the real world It looks like all of us who ever wanted to wander into any of Nintendo's properties are going to be able to do just that sometime in the near future. It was announced that Nintendo is now partnering up with Universal Parks to bring some of their huge IPs to said parks around the world to let us all experience what a day in the life of Mario Mario would be like. Okay, well maybe not that far but there are going to be attractions and experiences at Universal Parks that will be solely focused on some of Nintendo's major IPs. We had a cancellation, a delay, and more sad news in general but at least we were able to see Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight received a bit more. During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference Square Enix showed of their Witch Chapter 0 to show the power of DirectX 12 There is no doubt that Square Enix has always been on the leading side of computer graphics and rendering in the gaming world but with their most recent tech demo Witch Chapter 0 [cry] they were able to show off where we can expect to see our next games to go from them. During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference this week showed off said tech demo to show how DirectX 12 can be used to do some truly amazing things visually. In the case of their Witch Chapter 0 [cry] demo it showed how we could get some of the best real-time CG rendering that has been able to pull off a damn impressive CG version of someone crying. A new Augmented Reality Game, Night Terrors, is trying to raise funds to try and bring real but fake terror into our homes Earlier this week we had the devastation that Silent Hills was canceled so let's get back on a horror highlight with Night Terrors. This would be an augmented reality game that is looking to hit the levels of terror that the prior title mentioned was claiming as well. The big kicker here is that Night Terrors won't be using virtual world interactions to bring the terror. Instead it is slated to get you up and moving about your own home where the ghosts and demons are actually lurking. Read More...

Sad news as Dead Island 2 has been delayed due to unreleased reasons but to make Dead Island 2 a better game You can't tell me you are all that shocked to hear that Dead Island 2 has been delayed here. The original release schedule put it on task to be released Spring of 2015 and since that is about to come to a close and we haven't had much in the way of updates since August of last year it would seem that Deep Silver or Yager were going to make this announcement sometime soon. Sadly though that announcement is today as Dead Island 2 has been pushed back to a 2016 release instead of a 2015 release. There must be so much going on over there since it wasn't just pushed back to later this year but then again Dead Island 2 did sound like quite the undertaking before. Read More...

It looks like 505 Games will be bringing Overkill's The Walking Dead to the PS4 and Xbox One when it launches in 2016 Not the biggest or most shocking news here but it looks like Overkill's The Walking Dead will be coming to consoles through 505 Games. They will be known for working together in the past for the Pay Day titles as well as the critically acclaimed, on this site, Naughty Bear. This of course all makes perfect sense given the fact that Overkill's The Walking Dead will be another Pay Day-like title and the two have worked well to bring those titles already so it was most likely the safe bet that this was going to happen sooner or later.
