Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The week is over and it is time to kick back and digest all of those video games we saw, had teased, released, and sadly were delayed. This was one that was all over the place but it kept us all going as we wait for titles like Evil Genius 2 and Biomutant to launch out there. Hood The fourth character for Hood: Outlaws & Legends is out there with the Mystic bringing some of the religion into Hood in general Things are getting a little more magical in Hood: Outlaws & Legends with the showing of the final character class we will have to play in the game. Well, magical is a bit of a misnomer as it does look like Sumo Newcastle is still trying to keep things a bit more grounded and the Mystic is using more of the natural things to explain some of the magic out there. All of which by inhaling incense or tossing out an inhaled poison to mess with all of the minds out there in the matches. Not exactly what I was expecting in Hood but it is a great twist to have here and see play out with this version of Tooke in the universe. Read More...

Planet Zoo The next update for Planet Zoo will bring us more animals from Southeast Asia and a few more things to experience in Planet Zoo in general More animals are on the way to Planet Zoo for those that are looking to add a bit of the Southeast Asian flair to the game with this new DLC. A new bit of DLC that is going to be bringing us eight new creatures to play with in the playgrounds that Frontier Developments has crafted for us over all of this time. Not all of them may be something you have been looking for in Planet Zoo but that does not mean we will not have the option to add them in on March 30th. It will give us some new gameplay to work with if we so chose to and that is always welcome to keep great games constantly flowing on our systems. Read More...

Hitman The next expansion for Hitman 3 is bringing us all the deadly sins as if we needed more to worry about when it comes to Hitman’s soul If you did not think that Hitman 3 was already filled with enough of the deadly sins from Christian Mythology, here we go with a whole new way to experience them all. This would all be part of the next big paid-expansion that IO Interactive has been cooking up for us and will all kick off on March 30th. Each sin will be its own little expansion for Hitman 3 and have us revisit some of the past locations with new escalations and gear for Agent 47 to use and survive. Read More...

DARQ We sit down and review DARQ: Complete Edition. A next-gen upgrade for a dark puzzle game. Here is our review of the DARQ upgrade DARQ made a bit of a splash back in 2019 when it first brought its unique look and puzzle gameplay onto the scene. It also flew under the radars of quite a few gamers out there when Unfold Games offered it all up. It happens sometimes and we are all guilty of missing out on titles. That is why I am glad to be back with the DARQ: Complete Edition now that Feardemic wanted to make sure that it was brought to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Switch again. Read More...

Evil Genius A new breakdown for each of the Evil Genius characters is here to prep us for Evil Genius 2: World Domination to launch Since we all first heard and saw that Evil Genius 2: World Domination was going to be a title out there, we have had nice little looks at the four various geniuses we will be using to take over the world. Now that we are just over a week out from getting to dive into this base-building title, it looks like Rebellion is ready to give us a bit more for each of them so we can better choose. Given that each will have their own unique campaign to go through and survive in Evil Genius 2 this could be a make-or-break kind of choice. Read More...

Fallujah Six Days In Fallujah will be offering us all procedural maps and neighborhoods to add extra realism to this version of Fallujah Those thinking that Six Days In Fallujah is going to be another shooter that will just be using some real-world settings will soon be wrong on that assumption here. A new gameplay element from Highwire Games is listed for the game that will add an extra level of realism to the game maps that we generally do not see. It looks as if all of the buildings and neighborhoods in this version of Fallujah will be procedurally generated to keep things fresh and the same level of uncertainty that would truly be out there in the unfamiliar environments. Final Fantasy An extended view of the upgrades coming for Final Fantasy VII Remake is here with more for the coming Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade too We have had a few looks at how the PS5 upgrade for Final Fantasy VII Remake is going to look and flow already with the original announcement. Along with that, we had some new looks at the extra features that Square Enix will be adding in with textures, lighting, and Photo Mode mixed in. Mortal Shell We sit down and review Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition. The next-gen version of this Soulslike title. Here is our review of the Mortal Shell upgrade The original release of Mortal Shell came and went last year to the delight of the vast community of Soulslike gamers. It also came and went with a release on the last-gen systems out there Cold Symmetry and Playstack not being able to offer up the best version of the game at the time. Now we fast forward a little bit and here we have the release of Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition as it hits the PS5 and Xbox Series X with all of the new visual upgrades and changes that only the PC gamers have truly been able to see since its launch. Avengers The next-gen update for Marvel’s Avengers is here and we have a small look at Black Panther Assembling the Avengers Those that have been waiting for another reason to get back in on Marvel’s Avengers should start their update process now, as the next-gen update is here to bring the game to the PS5 and Xbox Series X. For those that still do not have the next-gen systems, though, do not think that you are going to be left out of the fun from Crystal Dynamics here. Hood The next character for Hood: Outlaws & Legends is here with the Brawler and another classic from the Robin Hood mythology It was easy to assume that this was going to be Lil' John here for Hood: Outlaws & Legends as the Brawler class and now we have a solid showing that is going to be the case. That is all based on the latest character showcase that we have here from Sumo Newcastle to give us the third class of fighters. One, that as the name implies, is all about brute force and melee combat in Hood while everyone else is out there doing the more subtle aspects of the matches. Read More...

Evil Genius A new trailer for Evil Genius 2: World Domination is here to give us a fun view of the game and get us ready to use the Photo Mode coming to Evil Genius 2 at launch Every day that we get closer to the March 30th release for Evil Genius 2: World Domination I know I am getting just a little more excited. Once again here we are with a new look at the game with Rebellion going a little more cinematic than we have seen in the past but all for a good reason. Severed Steel A new shooter is announced, Severed Steel, with Severed Steel giving us some one-armed gunslinging fun in the virtual world It can be a hard thing to try to feel fresh in the shooter genre of video games, but every now and then we see something as we have for Severed Steel here that is aiming to do that. In this instance, we are seeing a game where we are flowing through the craziness of the bullet storm as a one-armed gunslinger. A bold move for Greylock Studio and Digerati to go with as that can make reloading a bit difficult. Read More...

Something I know I can personally need after some of the things going on out there in general. If only we did not need to wait for Evil Genius 2 and Hood to launch out there in some time and could dive into them now.
