[Rumor] PlayStation 4? Already?
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 8th of June 2010 - 04:48 PM ]
Yeah, you read that title right. The video you are about to watch is spreading around like wildfire. Or not. In the video you will see the camera man running through the halls via Blair Witch/Cloverfield style as he is in a hurried to get something on camera. The camera man and two others enter a room where a man is laying on the floor like he was sprayed with laughing gas from the Joker. On the screen you will see the PlayStation logo, unlike we have seen the logo before. Then it cuts to where it says PS4 V 3. Read More...

Dance On The Mass Grave Of Helghast
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of June 2010 - 02:47 PM ]
That is how you would pluralize that word right? Like sheep. Or is it Helghasts...Helghastes...Helghans? No matter how you would do that, I won't let it detract from the new "teaser" trailer for Killzone 3. Something you can see below or over at the official Killzone 3 website. If you want to go through all the normal BS to see this trailer and such. At first this may not look like much of a tease since it is all a pre-rendered fight scene. But what it would seem is the tease is the last little bit of the teaser; Where it looks like you might be infiltrating the Helghast from the inside. Read More...

New PSP Go Promotion Gives New Owners Free Games
by 345 [ Wednesday, 2nd of June 2010 - 01:15 PM ]
A new promotion was announced on the PlayStation Blog yesterday for the PSPGo. Anyone who buys the handheld from now until March 31st, 2011 will receive three free game vouchers. The games included are: Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3, and Little Big Planet. Overall this is a solid set of games, but unfortunately the SCEA bundle pales in comparison with the SCEE deal, as anyone in Europe who buys a PSPGo gets 10 free games with their purchase. This offer pretty much confirms that we won't likely be hearing about a PSP2 anytime soon, and more importantly it shows that SCEA is still doing an incredibly awful job at marketing the PSPGo in the US. This is evident as there is still no price drop in sight for the PSPGo. Read More...

Killzone 3 Trying To One Up Uncharted 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of May 2010 - 07:28 PM ]
While it might not seem like it, since they are all Sony developers, it looks as if Guerrilla Games is trying to do just that visually. That and just recently the Senior Producer of Guerrilla Games said as much. But knowing that from the start doesn't help me grab your eyes and thrust them to these new screen shots for Killzone 3. At least new as in Hi-Res as most have been seen already as online scans. Pretty much what you would expect so far am I right? Read More...

Microsoft's Project Natal To Be Priced At $149
by Brian Goodman [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 11:32 PM ]
Accoriding to a report from Edge-Online today Microsoft has set a $149 price tag on its upcoming motion capture camera dubbed "Project Natal". This price is three times the original rumored price of $49. To keep it relative the anticipated pricepoint of Sony's similar upcoming hardware release "move" is rumored to be only $99. Will Microsoft sell the millions of units to the casual and non-traditional gaming crowd that it anticipates at this price point? Will Sony destroy any possibility of success with its newly announced 31% of the console market and its significantly cheaper "Move"? Read More...

Milking Kratos The Dairy Bastard
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of May 2010 - 08:29 PM ]
There is no dispute that God of War is one of the top grossing games that is exclusive to the Sony PlayStation. Just as there is no dispute that I am one of the world's largest fans of the franchise. With large franchises, of course, there is always going to be merchandising and off-shoots to keep the power house rolling. God of War is not being any different with PSP and mobile game offshoots, toys, clothes and even an awesome new comic book. But when is there going to be enough? Read More...

It Is Official, LittleBigPlanet 2 Revealed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of May 2010 - 05:36 PM ]
It looks like the time has come. The time to wheel out the next big thing to come along with Sony's Move. No, not the ever-pushed-off US version of the Eye Pet, but the sequel to end all sequels, until another sequel comes out. Officially now, LittleBigPlanet 2 has been announced and with it came along with a little fun trailer. A trailer to show off some of the upgrades that have been done to their game platform and how a whole new generation of banned levels can look and feel. I will say that some of the promises shown and talked about in this reveal trailer are kind of interesting and all huge steps for those that dream to be level designers to show off their skills. Want To Go To E3? Sony Will Sneak You In
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 6th of May 2010 - 10:34 PM ]
Ever wanted a chance to go to E3? Willing to do whatever it takes to go to E3? Well Sony now gives you a chance to do just that. They have created a “Win a Trip to E3 2010” contest and all they want you to do is create an open letter video to Kevin Butler, you know everyone favorite fictional Playstation VP in the commercials. Here is the guideline: Each video should begin with the phrase “Dear Playstation” Include your take on Kevin Butler's ever-changing title Make sure you include your own name and title (e.g John Smith, Desperate Fan) Keep your submissions brief and to the point (30 seconds or less) Video can be about anything Playstation related All content must be original – no copyrighted music, video, pictures, etc. Read More...

The Ghost Of Sparta Returns To The PSP
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 4th of May 2010 - 08:38 PM ]
With the success of God of War III, Sony has just announced that our favorite Spartan will be making his return to the Sony PSP and PSPgo in God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Why are they making another God of War game you may ask? Probably going to kill more Greek Gods. God of War: Chains of Olympus is still the highest rated PSP title of all-time according to Metacritic.com. So what is in store for us this time around. Read More...

Save The Date With Sony For E3
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 7th of April 2010 - 03:00 PM ]
With E3 slowly getting closer and closer, a surprise announcement last week from Microsoft will kick E3 off early on a Sunday for Project Natal. Not to be left behind, today Sony has told everyone to Save The Date for June 15th in Los Angeles, CA as to when they will be revealing their latest stuff this year. With Microsoft and Sony all set with their conference date it is all up for Nintendo to inform us when they will be holding their conference so we all can see their latest handheld, the 3DS. My Take: I wonder what they will reveal at the conference this year. Read More...

Review: Groovin' Blocks
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of March 2010 - 05:55 PM ]
Finally another WiiWare game has made the hop from the smaller, power-wise, console to a larger one. I'm talking Wii to PS3 here. Which can be a huge step for some games to be ported over. The game in question here is Groovin' Blocks from Empty Clip Studios, a nice little Dr. Mario style game with a strong bass line to back up the gameplay. Back it up so much as it is part of the game play. How does the port over compare, well read on my curious friend. Read More...

Hackers Ruin The PS3 For Everyone?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 08:17 PM ]
The following words are my own opinions and not those of AggroGamer and its staff. A month or two ago, it was announced that someone had figured out how to crack the PS3 to allow for home-brews and "pirated"/backed up PS2 and PS3 games to be played on the system. It was not explained how for a week or two after the announcement that it could be done in a way that could not be patched. But this isn't the news here. The news here is that Sony, after stating it wouldn't, is going to force "Fat" PS3 owners to update so they can no longer install another OS on the system. Read More...

Little IncrediBig Planet
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 30th of March 2010 - 06:03 PM ]
There are few things more disarmingly cute than the sack population of LittleBigPlanet. They have had many "guests" come through their game, including the Pirates of the Carribean, the comedic antics of the Ghostbusters, the vengeance soaked Ezio from Assassin's Creed II, the borderline confusing narrative prowess of the Watchmen, the grizzled veterans of the Metal Gear Solid series, and many more. Well, coming April 8th Pixar is diving into the fray with The Incredibles pack for the LittleBigStore. The Playstation Blog proclaims, fairly proudly that, "This huge pack features NINE costumes: all of The Incredibles family (including a “Retro” Mr. Read More...

Mini Review: The Heavy Rain Chronicles: The Taxidermist
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of March 2010 - 08:26 PM ]
So you played through Heavy Rain and seen all the endings, now what do you do? You could play around and just keep killing the hooker or store clerk for fun. You could try to find other ways to see Ethan off himself if Shaun dies. You could even replay the sex scene, that got no negative mention in the media, and see if you can glitch Madison to stay naked. Just to name a few things to do. You could do one of those options. Chaos has begun to rain down upon the world. Kratos is back and he is taking down the gods that rule over the world and keep everything in balance. Even after his rampage through the world over the last two games. Now he takes on the gods and titans directly, and will not stop until they are all dead and gone. Will he succeed or will he be sent down to Hades for the last time? What will he see and go through to make sure his Revenge is Complete? Read More...
