Godly Art Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of July 2009 - 10:07 PM ]
God of War III Art With talks of a movie script being finalized and a novelization of the first game in the works and slated for the same time God of War III launches, it is no surprise that Sony would be a little more loose with actual game content for this power house. I mean, most of the current press has been revolving around the first game that came out ever so long ago. To help battle this, on the official God of War III website, Sony has just released a new fan kit for people to use and post all over their fan pages to show how big of fan boys/girls they are. What that means for everyone else is that there are some new screen shots and concept art for us all to look at and pine over until March of 2010. Read More...

Play, Create, Share
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of July 2009 - 01:16 PM ]
The Debut Trailer For ModNation Racers Since E3, there hasn't been much talked about this new IP from United Front Games. It was a sneak hit during the Sony E3 Briefing and shown a little bit, in trailer form, around their booth. After that, it has fallen off the radar from all gaming sites, even here at Aggrogamer. But that is not to say that it has completely been scrapped and forgotten. To show that it is still there and on track (pun intended) for a 2010 release, United Front Games hands out their debut trailer for the game. Read More...

PSP Gets You Mysty Eyed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of July 2009 - 10:13 PM ]
Myst is Finally Coming to PSP Some interesting news for this week's PSN releases. It looks like this week PSP owners will have a chance to download and play the popular PC puzzler Myst on their PSPs. Play it with out having to mod or hack the system to get it on there to boot. If you haven't already or picked up the title for your iPhone or other application ready system. Something interesting about this is that it is slated to be the original game as the PC, except that it will include the stuff that was cut from the original release. Yes that sounds backwards. Looks Like They Were Called
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of July 2009 - 03:22 PM ]
Ghostbusters LPB Costumes Last week one of the fun little things announced for LittleBigPlanet was the addition of a cool little Ghostbusters costume for the game. Well a few of them, but we only got a glimpse of one. You know, the ghost logo guy. look it up on your own time if you don't remember. Well this morning, from the official PlayStation blog, a screen of all four of the costumes you will be able to get this Thursday was just placed for our viewing pleasure. That and a few user created tributes to the film using existing stickers and creation tool stuff and the music video for Ghostbusters. A nice little fun tribute from them for the film too. Review: Punisher No Mercy [PSN]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 09:43 PM ]
MERCY!? You Want MERCY! I'm Chaotic Neutral! When the Unreal 3 Engine and game came to market, many of us looked at it in awe with the power it game developers and modders to make their own visually stunning FPS games. Other genres can work with it too, but it is totally an FPS engine. One thing I always though would do great was to have a shooter with some of the better of the licensed superhero characters of comic fame. Granted, Punisher was not the absolute first to come time mind for some reason, but it was the top three ideas I thought of. It was also an idea that Zen Studios came up with and make work extremely well with Punisher: No Mercy. Read More...

Guitar Hero 5: The Obscure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 03:45 PM ]
First 24 Tracks For Guitar Hero 5 Maybe it's just me and not being totally up on my current music or even my older music, but to me it seems that Activision and Vicarious Visions are going with some of the more obscure songs from artists to drive players to the game. Some of the songs just announced for Guitar Hero 5 just don't ring a bell. Well actually quite a few of them don't. Artists I'm good with, but the selected songs just don't pop to mind. Read More...

Japan Gets All The Good Fantasies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2009 - 10:22 PM ]
Final Fantasy II Released on the Japanese PSN So, two weeks ago the original Final Fantasy was released on the Japanese PSN. Japanese fan boys and fan boys with a Japanese PSN account were rejoiced. But us non-JPSN having fan boys are still left out waiting for it to release in our region. Hint Square-Enix Now it looks like we have even more to be waiting for or considering skirting the system with GTranslate open next to us. Today on the Japanese PSN, they are all welcomed with the second, the actual second, game in the franchise. Outside of Japan, we think number four is number two. Read More...

Battlefield 1943 Launch Trailer A few things have happened in the world over the last week or two. Outside of "famous" people loosing their mortal coil. We've celebrated our freedom, US at least. We've lost some more people who give us our freedoms. We've gained a game that lets a simulate what people have gone through to give us these freedoms. That game being Battlefield 1943. Well at least console gamers have gained the game. Read More...

PlayStation phone announced by August 31, 2010? Jeez, the PSP Go! isn't even out yet and rumors are abound that there could be yet another version by August of 2010. This time from the Japanese and spinning from a comment on how Sony is thinking of making a cell phone with the capabilities of the Sony Ericsson phones and the PSP. Capcom Classics Coming to PSN Starting Tomorrow That's right I said it. Balderdash! There are and will be some more good games for the PSP coming in the not to distant future, like tomorrow and the coming summer months. At least all because of Capcom and the PSN.
