PlayStation Experience Hands On — Apotheon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Apotheon; A Side Scrolling Title That Lets You Play As The Greeks Told Stories Apotheon was a title I heard about via the PlayStation Blog and something that piqued my interest from the start. In all honesty it has been the visual style of the game as well as the premise that Alien Trap is going for with this little PC/PS4 title coming out next year. It was these things that forced me to track the team down at the PlayStation Experience and actually get Apotheon in my hands to give it the really godly test as I should. There is a whole level dedicated to my main man after all. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Amplitude
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Amplitude; A Reboot Of The Famed Harmonix Game Of Yore We all wanted Amplitude and we all are getting Amplitude for the PS3 and PS4 thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign for the game. This is one of the first Harmonix titles I ever became addicted to and I am glad to see the legacy may be living on. In fact I was one of the lucky people who were able to take Amplitude for a spin in its current stat at the PlayStation Experience. Just in case you were not so lucky let me break it down for you on how the game as progressed up until now. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes; An Interesting Bomb Disposal Title Coming For The Project Morpheus Project Morpheus was on the show floor for the PlayStation Experience. It had a bunch of different tech demos and early games to help show off how cool the tech could be but one game that got a lot more buzz than anything was Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes. Given the demand of the Morpheus at the PSX the line was doubly huge for Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes but I had a chance to sit down and give this cool bomb disposal virtual reality title a few play throughs. Most were on beginner but I did get a chance to play the higher difficulty. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — The Order: 1886
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See The Order: 1886 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. Here's My Take On The Victorian Age Shooter Coming To PS4 Next Year Only a few months now until The Order: 1886 releases at is shocks me that it has taken this long to get my hands on the game. Well if you negate the fact that the average wait time to play the demo at the PlayStation Experience was about three and a half hours then it may not be as shocking. Luckily for me, and in turn you, I was able to bypass the long wait (by rushing to the booth first thing) and was able to get my hands on the public demo and the press demo that Ready At Dawn and Santa Monica Studios brought to the PSX. Time To Wrap Up That Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Part three of the Batman: Arkham Knight trailer trilogy was shown off at the PlayStation Experience thus concluding the Ace Chemicals infiltration Batman: Arkham Knight was not playable at the PlayStation Experience over last weekend, which was a sad thing, but that didn't stop Rocksteady and Warner Bros. from showing off some amazing footage as well as announce the PS4 exclusive DLC that makes me even more excited to get the game next year. Why they felt that they had to release the trailer in three parts is still an open question from me but someone thought it would be a great idea. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Drawn To Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Drawn To Death was not only announced at the PlayStation Experience but it was also on the show floor in the pre-alpha build. Here's my take on how Drawn To Death handled thus far The teased title for The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency was officially announced at the PlayStation Experience in the way of Drawn To Death. Drawn To Death is a new arena shooter of sorts that is all in the style of some high school student's notebook doodles. It made a huge splash and was a great way to end the entire keynote for the PlayStation Experience on Saturday (12/6/14). Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Until Dawn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Until Dawn In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. Here's My Take On The PS4 B-Movie Horror Game Last we saw Until Dawn was in a nice little teaser trailer and showcase at Gamescom in August. While it was all filmed using the game's engine it never really showed how Until Dawn would play out or handle once we had it in our hands. That is outside of playing out like a campy horror film of your and until the PlayStation Experience where the game was on hand for the lucky few of us to actually play. Here's how Until Dawn handled and pretty much where the game is at so far from Supermassive Games. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
A new story trailer for Dying Light is out and it shows that there is more to the story than we've been given so far As we assumed before when we saw the first 15 minutes or so of Dying Light there is going to be one interesting story that will hopefully explain what is going on in the world of the game. Godzilla Is Coming To Wreck The Game Awards
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Looks like Godzilla is going to have a showing at the Game Awards as well as a possible North American release for the PS3 title Laugh all you want but it looks like Godzilla will be making and official showing in Las Vegas, NV. I'm of course talking about the game and not the king of the monsters or any of his adversaries. Even in the most recent film for Godzilla the beast never actually stepped foot in the city but it looks like he has changed his mind about destroying Sin City. I think that is enough joshing around. Time For Gamers To Join A Real Blood Sport
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A new organization, Blood Sport, is looking to raise the stakes in gaming as well as help people in the interim Before you continue reading about Blood Sport here note that I am not talking about any upcoming Van Damme film or one prior. I'm talking about a new gaming event that some crazy Canadians are trying to get funded via Kickstarter. That is at least if Kickstarter reactivates the campaign on the site as it was shut down with currently no reasons given. That isn't what I want to bring to you here though. Read More...

The Fun Of Getting Around Harran In Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
More gameplay for Dying Light has been released showing off the many different ways you can get around Harran while free-running Here we go with another gameplay video for Dying Light to show off all the free movement we are going to have when the game finally launches next year. This has to be the biggest selling point and new innovation for Techland and Warner Bros. given it is coming out around the same time as a whole bunch of other zombie titles. We wouldn't want Dying Light to become some kind of white noise in the background of all the zombie killing we are going to be doing on our PS4 or Xbox One do we? Read More...

Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell Proves Musicals Are Mostly Evil
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
A new musical trailer for Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell has debuted and it shows off the musical side of the devil We have another new and damn fun trailer for Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell. As the title here suggests we get a nice and fun look at how the game may take place as a musical. Hells, knowing the franchise this may actually be a long scene from the game proper and we just don't fully know yet. Deep Silver and Volition do know how to make a damn entertaining time though and this most recent trailer for Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell does it again; even if you are not the musical type. I just hope this isn't some Buffy music demon messing with things kind of experience in game though. Read More...
