The Walking Dead: No Man's Land Has Been Announced For 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A cinematic trailer for The Walking Dead: No Man's Land has been released to announce the new tie-in game The Walking Dead franchise is still a steam roller and in a preempt for SDCC we now have The Walking Dead: No Man's Land announced. The Telltale game has been relatively amazing, the Facebook tie-in social game was ok-ish, and the other console game from what I hear was 'meh'. Now we have yet another title but this time just for mobile from Next Games and AMC. That is about all we know about The Walking Dead: No Man's Land outside of the following cinematic trailer that we have from AMC's YouTube account. Read More...

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's Realism 'Fools' New Studio
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A screenshot from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain looked real enough to be used for real news This news report has since been updated but it feels more like a PR spin than truly admitting that they screwed up and used an image from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to shock people into believing their propaganda or at least listen to what they were saying. "News" outlet RT and show SophieCo were recently covering a story on children soldiers and were speaking to a former child soldier when the camera panned by and showed a scene from the next Kojima game. Like I said, it has since been updated to state that they knew it was from a video game but I have a feeling that is just to save face as something like this could ruin what the discussion was actually about. Media Molecule Embraces Their Mistake And Teases New PS4 IP
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Media Molecule shows off a bit of their latest IP in the form of a rendering error It's not every day that anyone embraces their mistakes as Media Molecule just has. Usually things like this get thrown aside or swept under the rug; especially something as little as a rendering error. Not here though as it looks like Media Molecule is using an error like this to kind of tease their next IP coming to the PS4. Get ready to see the horror and tedious side of game development and try to figure out what Media Molecule is going to bring us. A rendering error on our new PS4 project caused this trippy sequence of colourful nonsense that begged to be shared. Read More...

The Evil Within Has Had Yet Another Release Date Change
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
During the Bethesda conference at Quakecon there was an announcement of a third release date for The Evil Within Unlike what will happen when playing The Evil Within, calm down. This is not another piece of bad news for The Evil Within but it is a bit of good as it was let loose that the game is now coming out a week earlier now. That means that evil will be taking hold on October 14th now instead of the 21st. That is as long as Bethesda doesn't change their minds after what they claimed at Quakecon here recently. Styx: Master Of Shadows Will Make You Believe In Goblins…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows has been released to show off the main goblin doing what he does best Last month we were able to re-watch the E3 gameplay for Styx: Master Of Shadows and it looks to be the perfect Thief-like game to me. Now we have a nice little extra look at a bit of gameplay and a bit more on the story that will be taking place during the game. It isn't all that much more but it is something for what I am seeing as a sleeper hit coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this upcoming September. I just kind of wish we had a more direct release date for the game but we have the month at least. Read More...

Sacred 3's New Trailer Shows Off How Competitive The Co-Op Could Be
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Deep Silver and Keen Games have released a new trailer for Sacred 3 to show off the co-op game play for the game While we may not have any new gameplay footage to show off for the co-op in Sacred 3, Deep Silver has given us a look at how the gameplay could occur in a CGI video filled with carnage and fun. I am guessing that this is to show how the game should be played once you and your friends take it home. That would be something hard to capture without feeling scripted if it was gameplay for sure, but I still would have loved to see more on how the characters work together to lead up to an epic version of "Whack-A-Mole" to score higher than everyone else. There is a new teaser trailer for Fatal Frame, Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko, coming to the Wii U September 27th in Japan This may not be breaking news for many who don't live in Japan but it looks like the Wii U version of Fatal Frame or Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko is slated for a September 27th release in that territory. There is also a really creepy new trailer showing off a bit of the gameplay and horror that we could expect from the game. At least we could if it was slated to come over to the U. Read More...

It Looks Like The Walking Dead Is Getting Insanely 'Real' Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A few new screenshots have been released for The Walking Dead and it shows some rather dire scenes We have a few new screenshots for the next episode of The Walking Dead and it looks like there are going to be a few more deaths to affect us all. That is at least if we take that away from one of these new screenshots here. In this specific instance it looks like Kenny may be back on the market in the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead. If it is a bite or something else is still left to the imagination of the new episode but things do not look good for the group. Read More...

Just In Case You Wanted To Go Hands Free Here Is There Came An Echo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for There Came An Echo shows off the voice commands in the War Room mode of the game Who needs the Kinect or the PS Camera when you can control every aspect of a game with your voice like in There Came An Echo? Yes, this feature has been in many other titles in the past and it has been met with great criticism and hatred but why not try it again? It was talked about for There Came An Echo before but we have yet to see anything in the way of actual voice command working for the game. That was until now… (Queue epic movie voice) In the below trailer we actually get to see all of those promised voice commands in work for There Came An Echo. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 7/7/14 — 7/11/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming There goes one more week of gaming news in the bag. It felt like a very directed week for gaming news if you do ask me but then again we give you what we get. Also when we get it…as long as it fits in our theme of gaming news here on the site. Granted not all of the news we have is 100% gaming related but that is splitting hairs where we don't need to be. Back to my "directed" comment. Read More...

Evolve Is Now Letting You Take The Hunt To The Real World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Turtle Rock Studios and 2K have released the files to allow us to 3D print the characters and monsters from Evolve I knew it would be only a matter of time before something like what is now available from Evolve would happen. We are now able to get the in-game models to 3D print to our heart's content so we can recreate our own loved hunts in the comfort of our own homes. That doesn't sound completely 'right' to me. We are getting to do that already with Evolve in the virtual world. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The film adaptation for Heavenly Sword will be released on September 2nd for all to enjoy Back in February we had our last look at the CGI film version of Heavenly Sword. Today we are greeted with a new trailer that explains a bit more of the story for those of you who have yet to play the game. For those of you who have played the game though you can also enjoy seeing how they are making changes to make watching it just as fun as playing Heavenly Sword when it first released. Here is the latest trailer for Heavenly Sword the movie straight from the exclusive clutches of IGN. *grumble* It's been seven years since I last played Heavenly Sword from start to finish but I don't remember Nariko trying to give the sword to a brother. I've Never Seen Anyone This Excited For Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Audio
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been released showing off the audio direction and design of the game Not only do we want our Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare to look good, we want it to sound good too. You know, to add all that extra immersion into the gaming world while we run all over other people's homeland shooting up the "bad guys" to our heart's content. Keyword here being immersion and audio has just as much to play into that as visual and great gameplay mechanics. This is why we are bringing you the latest in Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare dev diaries showing off very little of the tech going into doing just that. Read More...
