At Gamescom 2015 Homefront: The Revolution made its first major showing since E3 2014 and it looks like Homefront is in the right hands still The last major update we had for Homefront: The Revolution was that it was being delayed until spring of 2016 and that was after almost a whole year of silence while it was being developed on. This could have been because the developer changed over to Dambuster Studios in the madness going on around Homefront at the time but still that was the last we heard. A new gameplay trailer for Mirror's Edge Catalyst was shown off at Gamescom 2015 and it shows us all that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be the reboot to the franchise we've wanted When I first heard that Mirror's Edge Catalyst was going to be a reboot of sorts for the franchise I was a little worried as I didn't think it needed a reboot. After my experience with it at E3 I was calmed down a little as it looked like DICE was going in the right direction even if it felt more like an expansion to the world and not a new title. Another long demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain from Gamescom 2015 has been shown off and it explains more on Mother Base and the FOB multiplayer aspect of The Phantom Pain Get ready for a nice long Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain session here today as we have even more gameplay and trailers for the game to sink our eyes into right from Gamescom. New Quantum Break gameplay footage was shown off at Gamescom as well as a release date for when we can expect Quantum Break to hit the Xbox One We finally got what we have all been promised and that is more footage of Quantum Break right from Gamescom this year. During the Microsoft press event the team from Remedy Games not only showed a new trailer but also showed another good chunk of Quantum Break gameplay as well as showing us the level of star power that the developer and publisher were able to get on board for Quantum Break. It looks like Guitar Hero Live will have vocals in the mix as well to keep Guitar Hero Live up to snuff with its competitors It looks like Guitar Hero Live is getting something that many have wondered would be included since it was first announced; vocals. It looks like FreeStyleGames didn't want to leave any Guitar Hero fans left out or Activision wanted to make sure it could truly compete with Guitar Hero Live's competitor in the gameplay options and not just the soundtrack. More reviews and more news for all kinds of video games to come. I truly love that we were able to bookend this week with Until Dawn and had quite a few other zombie type announcements with Zombi and Advanced Warfare DLC. That is also if we miss out on the world of video games getting Mafia 3 coming with more news next week on that. Until Dawn has officially gone gold and to celebrate we get to hear a bunch of the score used to make Until Dawn the horror fest we've been dying for You know it's been a good week when you can bookend it with great horror news like we have with Until Dawn here. We still have just under a month to wait, August 25th, before we get to experience Supermassive Games' latest title on the PS4 and from what I've seen and heard so far we shouldn't be let down. It looks like most of it is going to be solid and Until Dawn has finally hit gold status in the development cycle so now the waiting game takes place. The final DLC pack for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Reckoning, has a date and a trailer to show off all of the extras we will get for Advanced Warfare before the next Call Of Duty comes All good things have to come to an end and that is no different for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's DLC packs. Especially since we are going to be getting the next huge title to the franchise here in a few months it would make sense that Activision would want to press on from this Sledgehammer Games title in preparation. Here's Our Review On How They've Done So Far We are quickly coming to the end of Game Of Thrones from Telltale Games and it has been one hell of a ride. Only one more episode to go now as A Nest of Vipers, the fifth of the six episodes, hit the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC starting on July 21st. I am still hoping to see a few of these have HBO show tie ins but as of now it is all in the game. The story trailer for LEGO Dimensions has been released to the public so they too can know what is going on in LEGO Dimensions…somewhat I was thinking by now we would all have a good grasp on what is going to happen in LEGO Dimensions when it finally launches on September 27th. Another new gameplay feature for Guitar Hero Live has been announced in the way of premium shows that can unlock even more items in Guitar Hero Live So far we've seen a few of the cool new ways that Guitar Hero Live will be changing the franchise as well as the genre of game. There are so many other things that could go on with the rhythm genre but here we are getting what are called Premium Shows for Guitar Hero Live.
