Batman A solid release date for Batman: The Telltale Series has been revealed and it looks like the first week of August is when Batman will be taking flight again Last week we were teased with when Batman: The Telltale Series would be coming to us in digital format but we were told that we would get to see a new trailer just in time for SDCC. As they are people of their words over at Telltale Games we now have a released date for the digital version of the game, August 2nd, and a trailer for the first episode of the game. Just the perfect time to bring us all Batman and now we know that we won't have to wait until we get home from the huge convention to give it a play. Read More...

On this date we will get to see how much further down the rabbit hole Telltale Games is going to take us into their take on the famed Mojang IP that has a few hits and misses in my eyes. Friday The 13th A new update to Friday The 13th: The Game's digital cabin has been made and we get more to see for Friday The 13th's big bad Jason in the game It hasn't been that long since the Friday The 13th: The Game digital cabin came online and fans who backed or are still banking the game had a chance to check out the "safe area" in the game where we can check out all of our collected gear and items. Illfonic and Gun Media put this together early but it will be in the final game so you can see everything you want out side of a match. Star Wars During London's Star Wars celebration event we received a few new bits of concept are for the Star Wars Visceral is working for us We all know that EA is holding onto that Star Wars IP with an iron grip and forcing pretty much all of their development studios to work on the IP in some way or another. One of which would be Visceral Games that we all know for the Dead Space titles and the most recent Battlefield Hardline title; also they are the studio who picked up Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame. Of course it makes sense that they would have them working on another Star Wars addition into the video game world and it looks like we have a bit of an update and some pieces of concept art to work with as we wait and see. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games This week seemed to drag on but luckily we had all kinds of video games and all their news to keep us entertained and moving forward. That isn't to say that we didn't have some cool things come out like the new stuff for No Man's Sky and Call Of Duty. Then we had the flip flop on the Batman franchise although both of the video games in question there were from different developers. Batman The release window for Batman: The Telltale Series digital has been revealed as well as when Batman will be getting a physical version from Warner Bros. As I assumed we would be seeing more of Batman: The Telltale Series as we got closer to SDCC and here we go. It isn't a trailer as Telltale Games has stated that they will be showing us that next week during the big event and when they do their play through of the first episode live. But for now it looks like we only have news that Batman is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices digitally sometime in August. No Man's Sky A new video series for No Man's Sky has kicked off and now we are getting a look at the four main aspects of No Man's Sky's gameplay Last we heard that No Man's Sky has gone gold and that August 9th is completely locked in and now it looks like we are getting video break downs of the core aspects of the game. According to the Hello Games these are Explore, Trade, Fight, and Survive. That does seem to be a lot more than I remember them stating before but this is a good thing as it gives me personally more to look at for No Man's Sky as well as to get behind all of the hype the game has produced for so long. Layers Of Fear More visuals for Layers Of Fear: Inheritance have been released as we delve deeper into Layers Of Fear's protagonist’s daughter Only a few weeks ago did we catch wind that Layers Of Fear: Inheritance was coming as a nice little DLC for the original horror title from Bloober Team. It is slated for an August 2nd release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC still but it looks like Aspyr Media has some new screen shots for us to look at and see how we are going to dig into the Artist's daughter's psyche in the game. The Bunker A new horror game, The Bunker, is coming out this September and The Bunker features Live Action play instead of traditional character models It has been very far between when a video game uses live actors instead of polygons for gameplay but here we go with The Bunker. This is a new horror title coming out of Splendy Games for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile devices. It had a very small announcement back in April of this year but it looks like Wales Interactive wants to bring The Bunker to us all this September. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games One more week in video games is in the bad now and it has been another fun one. We were able to see Evolve go free-to-play, how South Park is taking comedy serious here, and also a whole bunch of new Battlefield 1 gameplay to tide us over for a bit. We also had the chance to review three more video games here this week with some highs and some lows. No Man's Sky It has just been confirmed that No Man's Sky has finally hit gold status and No Man's Sky will be hitting it new release date It seems like only a month ago that we were hearing about death threats over No Man's Sky being delayed until August 9th. Thankfully the pillow forts that were built over at Hello Games to shield them all worked as it looks like they have no wrapped up development and the game is ready to start going into the process to come out to us. Now the only delays we may see for No Man's Sky will be if the marketing team feels like they need more time to sell more copies.
